Sis, anong difference nung classes sa membership? If you pay for the classes, do you still need to pay for membership? Or the membership fees refer to unlimited classes for a month or a year? TIA! :)

^ same here. I did it yesterday in The Fort. It was super hard! I even had to stop twice! Lol. I was yawning too and felt a little dizzy! Haha. It's been a while since I last exercise kasi and I've been unhealthy for a while. But I'm interested to go back again. Yun nga lang, I think I have to combine it with another exercise regime that will let me lose weight. What's good kaya with Barre 3?

^ its good to hear that you like the workout... :) ..But I would really like to encourage to take more big breathes on your next visit. You might be holding your breathe i while doing some of the challenge hold..Yawning kasi is caused by improper breathing whlle doing some strenous exercise..Its our body's way of getting more air from our environment..For some people naman, yawning is their body's way of gearing up for energetic or difficult activity..(so you might be yawning after the Barre Stretch part while in transistion to leg work- which is the most challenging part for me in Barre3 workout).. ;)

Godbless on your journey to a healthy life!  ;D

I recently enrolled myself to the bar method. It was very intense all the time. I plan on doing it at least 3 times a week. I used to do pilates for like 6 months but since i moved to another state and the bar method is the closest thing to my pilates work out. It helps that my pilates instructor then is a ballet dancer so she had introduced us to some bar exercise. The pilates breathing techniques really help and i try to do it during the one hour of bar method. It's a killer exercise. Shaking is good as what they always say. Always do the hamstring stretch too.

I also got the Deal Grocer coupon. I'm in the middle of claiming it. I'm fairly fit, and I thought I could do this every day, but I NEEDED a rest day after 3 straight days. :) It's pretty fun. I lost 1 lb despite a carb-heavy diet, and my abs feel tight. I'd also like to think the cuts in my arms are getting deeper, kahit a few days pa lang ako, hehe.

kahit ba hindi athletic or malambot katawan makasunod kaya? i am very interested sana but yun ang problem ko LOL!
Yes, totally. You don't need to be athletic or flexible to do the movements to get a good workout from this. Pretty neat.

^They also offer 0% interest if you use a Citibank Card. At the ATC branch they also give 10% discount during the 3-day Paint the Town Red sale. Might be a good deal if you combine both. ;)

I had my first session last Friday and I had to pause during some of the routines. My legs were shaking too.  The 1-hour session would be composed of various moves that would work on your body one muscle group at a time. You'll get to use 4 apparatus too - a pair of dumbells, non-elastic band, ball and a mat.  I especially liked the cooling down part towards the end of the session.

I've not had any exercise regimen since I gave birth last Jan 2009.  A bit of running lang before that. Ayun, yesterday my muscles were really aching but today's the second day and it's so much worse! ;). Even the muscles below my clavicle are aching.

I intend to continue Barre3 to stengthen and tone my muscles. What I like about it pregnant women can also join for as long as you get your doctor's clearance.  They make you sign a 'waiver' kasi.

You can go in your typical gym outfit but they will require you to wear non-skid socks. Yung may rubber thingies sa soles similar dun sa kids' socks.

You also get a locker and you can use their facilities if you want
to take a shower or simply just to make a quick change.

HTH!

@ happy_pomelo: Hey, I was at the Friday afternoon session at ATC. Baka nagkasabay tayo? :) Too bad I don't have a Citibank card, because I really want to take it up again! It's not a good time for me and my budget though.

I just wrote about my Barre3 experience:
