hi anyone working in PAL?? i'm curious kung ok bang magwork dun as frontliner??? [textspeak!] ticketing representative?? magkano kaya salary tska maganda ba benefits nila dun??? may uniform din na sila???

chocochips_31 - mahirap ata makahanap dito ng someone working at PAL. I applied there before and passed naman - pero FA ang ina-appply ko nun. Kaya lang, nung may swim test na, di na ako pumunta kasi di ako marunong mag-swimming. hehe.

Anyway, I have 1 friend na sa Qatar Airways naman work as reservations agent. Pero OFW ang drama niya. Super ganda ng sweldo. Benefits is meron pabahay, etc. Meron uniform.

chengkii- hi, FA?  sorry, i have no idea kung ano meaning nun. i want to apply sana kasi as Reservations Sales Associate and Integrated Ticket Representative. i am currently employed naman as bank employee kaya lang may idea ka ba kung ano ginagawa nila? tska kailangan kayang marunong kang mag-swim.. hindi rin kasi ako marunong. hehe sila kaya yung mga naka-uniform na nakikita ko sa PAL sa may ali mall? pasensya na dami kong tanong, curious lang talaga ako sa job na 'to.

oo sis. mahirap magapply ngayon dito sa pal, my bf works for pal FA nga lang, walang swimming test nung time nya, hehe

hinde naman kailangan marunung luimangoy kasi ticketing ka, may training kang papasukan once hired ka na, sa training if im not mistaken may personality training, at yun nga sa ticketing. iba ata ang ticketing sa ground staff eh, pero same ang salary ay minimun din ata but you get perks kagaya ng 2days off at sa first year domestic ang free plane ticket, sa 2nd year regional ( include australia ) at sa 3rd year international na, yun mga perks, plus meron mga medical benefits sa iyo at sa family

My friend's husband and dad are both working there.  They said it's ok.  I've organize before a workshop or seminar there before with their Human Resource and Union.  Seems they are pretty ok.  If only I have the height, I'd apply for FA since I really love to travel.

PAL also has Mabuhay magazine.  This is what I want to know if the magazine under Prestige Media publication is also good?  Do they take care of their employees and do they have a commensurate salary?  Anyone here have an idea?

i love to travel kasi kaya i want to shift sana ng career. i think mas mag-eenjoy ako kung gusto ko talaga yung work ko. thanks sa lahat ng nag-reply.

Sorry to discourage you girls but now is not a good time to apply at PAL. If you've been reading the dailies you should be aware of what's going on there right now. I suggest you go look at other companies and when okay na sa PAL then by all means apply kayo.

competent ang salary ng FA sis. Plus, you have per diem pa when your in another country + per hour on air. YUn ang pagkaka-alam ko ha, kasi a have classmate in college who is now an FA at Saudia Airlines.

yes, now is definitely not a good to work at PAL as far as reservations/ticketing agent position is concerned. my cousin works there now at the reservations department and sad to say, some of them will be laid off from work. Those who will be retained will still work for PAL's reservation BUT will not be under PAL's management na. The reservations department will be under EPLDT, a call center company. So the travel privileges, wala na. Thats just for the reservations department.

^^sis bloody_venus - iPams din siya dumaan. May exam pa na about half day din daw. The reason he passed was because we worked for an online travel company program before in PeopleSupport (call center). So iyun computations and World Span, alam namin gawin.

Malaking bagay na marunong ka mag compute ng fare difference, resolution sa mga overbooked flights, etc.

its me again. hehe.. i didnt show up on my scheduled impact interview last week. and kanina lang pinatawag nila ulit ako and asked me if im still interested for the FA position. i said yes and they scheduled me on June 8. may ba pa ba dito na natawagan din? TIA.

I'm an ex-pal employee. it's nice working with pal. medyo mabagal nga lang ang career growth dyan, seniority kasi. pero good sets of benefits especially those who love to travel. yung mga ticket reps nila ang alam ko may training muna before mahire. medyo complicated kasi ang ticketing.. medyo strict ang hiring process nila and mahirap talaga makapasok. I heard medyo stable na ulit ang pal ngayon. ewan ko lang kung hiring na sila ulit. dati kasi freeze hiring.
