^my daughter goes to Poveda. I don't remember my daughter receiving any sample activity sheets for the exams. they receive a general reviewer on the coverage of the exams, but not for all subjects (math ang madalas meron). But I hardly call this spoon-feeding since it only gives 1-2 question examples per topic. If you depend your review on this solely alone, you won't fare well in the test. Us parents still make reviewers for them. But comparing to other schools, they aren't as "bugbog" with schoolwork. Pacing is better. I'm more stressed out with my boy who is swamped with school work at kindergarten.

If I send both my kids to SPCP, we'll spend roughly 90k each including uniforms and books na yan. Kaya naman but Im afraid we wont have much to save anymore as most of our salaries will be spent sa tuition pa lang. Academically, hands down ako as my kid does very well and they make learning fun. However, ako ang napapagod sa dami ng assignments and almost everyday they have a lot to do.

I also felt that the school is for profit na, lahat na lang hinihingi, lahat may extra payment. Though the donations are non compulsary, nakakahiya naman if you wont give haha.

Plus, they just announced na there would be an increase.

Anyway, may I know how much is the tuition at Inocencio?

I wouldnt bother asking sa Poveda kasi for sure over 100k 😊 Di na talaga afford hehe

SHAP roughly 50k to 60k din aabutin including books and uniform. Progressive type of teaching. Pag pumasok ka sa school medyo masikip and cramped din yung dating. Around 30 students per classroom. Okay naman ang turo, wala masyado assignments. I think puro seatwork ata sila. Even pag weekend konti lang assignment. Ayoko lang di mo nakikita testpaper nila. May answer sheet lang kasi sila every exam. So di mo macheck if tama ba pagkakacheck sa paper ng students. You still have to requests pa ata sa Principals Office para maview yung test questions. May bad experience lang kami before na may classmate ang anak ko na may pagkabully and lagi ata siyang nawawalan ng gamit. So nagsabi kami sa teacher and what she did pinaglayo lang ng seats yung dalawa. Then nung Christmas party na nawalan siya ng pang exchange gift, though, were not really sure ha if same student yung kumuha kasi di naman nagkaroon ng investigation, nagcomplain na kami sa Prefect and sa Principal. We submitted a letter. Nakausap din namin yung prefect nung time na yun and told us na iinvestigate but wala na kaming nakuhang update after that. Pero nageenjoy ang son ko dun kasi andun lahat ng friends na niya and isolated case naman yung bully na yun. So andun pa rin siya.

LaConsolacion roughly 50k din tuition fee. Ang gusto ko dun ang laki ng grounds nila, perfect sa mga active kids. Around 30 or less din students and 2 sections lang halos per level. Konti lang estudyante nila. They have their own chapel. Lagi silang may mass, they teach traditional values and madami religious activities. Sa tingin ko mababait mga estudyante sa LaCo ha, courteous. wala pa kaming encounter na hindi maganda. Teachers are so nice din you'll feel welcome. Yun nga lang sa quality ng teaching mas gusto ko SHAP, mas advance ang turo. Sabi din ng ibang parents kasi halos puro fresh grad ata teachers sa LaCo and mabilis turnover ng teachers. But then enjoy naman second son ko dun so dun pa rin siya til now, may natutunan naman siya. Yun lang baka medyo malayo ang LaCo sa inyo kasi medyo dulo pa ng Mercedes Ave. yun.

50-50 pa rin. gusto ko na ayaw ko na mag school ang son ko, he's turning 3 on saturday. parang ayoko pa sya talaga mag school pero parang sa ngayon eh kailangan na niya mag aral. although nag "homeschool" naman din kami. medyo nalilito talaga ako. tapos wala akong mapiling school na araw the area lang.

me nakita akong bago, parang progressive school sya, SEEDS, me nakakaalam ba sa inyo about sa school na ito?

I know sa pasig siguro most of the mommies replying to this thread, pero i just want to take a chance kung ok lang sa inyo to go out a little further. Sa Milestone Preschool ko pinasok panganay ko. Its in San Juan. Pareho kami ng sister ko. Sobrang love namin yung school na yun. Kaso, lumipat na family ko sa south, yung sis ko taga- San Juan pa rin. Her daughter is in SPCP na. May mga ibang batchmate din niece ko na sa pasig area na rin nagbig school, poveda, domu Schola. Lahat naman ng kwento niya ok naman sila nung former classmates niya. Nagtotop naman daw and happy mga kids and parents. As for my son, he is achieving in La Salle Zobel too. Very active din sa sports. I believe kasi dapat maganda foundations and training nung preschool eh. If i only lived near san juan, dun ko pa rin papasok 2nd baby ko when she's ready for nursery school. Now I'm on the search for a preschool just as good sana near my house naman. I just want to share lang baka may matulungan ako. 😃

Better go for Red Apple.. I just had a bad experience with Parkwood before.

^^ we enrolled our daughter sa Red Apple for this school year 2016 to 2017. She's incoming Kinder (but they call their kinder, Pre Kinder), yun na daw bagong tawag ng Dep Ed ngayon. Then ang Prep is called Kinder na daw.

Anyhow, Can't give a lot of feedback pa since papasok palang ang anak ko but the main reason why I enrolled my daughter here is konti lang ang students per class and very strict sila sa number of students. 10 lang per class ang Nursery and Pre Kinder (Kinder). Sa class ng daughter ko, 7 lang sila.

Mas maganda kasi ang konti lang para mas matutukan ang bawat bata. Progressive din sila which is inaadvise ng Dev ped ng daughter ko.

hi sis str4wb3rry, same here! scouting for schools for my toddler around pasig area pero sa may greenfield district na kami malapit. though i hope you'll post feedback once you visited these schools.

i've contacted creative learning school, i'm leaning towards progressive approach kasi, they said they apply progressive and eclectic. small class size lang sila and may continuous for grade school.

Konti lang din students per class. Yung sa daughter ko, 8 lang sila sa Kinder class.

Im also scouting for new school for my 6 year old.. pasig area lang din.
Sa Sacred Heart siya pumapasok ngayon pero sobrang naiinis na ako sa school na yon..ang mahal pa ng tuition. Her teachers are so inefficient.
This year sobrang rough ng school year sa anak ko. And per her pediatrician, stress na yung cause ng sakit niya.

What's causing his stress kaya sa SHAP mommy Hi_mom01. I have a son in SHAP pero Grade 6 na, I have another grade schooler in La Consolacion Pasig. I have an incoming Grade 1 na din. I asked my 5 year old son saan nya gusto mag grade 1 if sa SHAP or La Co. Mas gusto niya sa La Co kasi siguro maluwag ang grounds and maaliwalas. SHAP looked cramped and madilim. And totoo ka sa sinabi mo na mahal nga ang tuition. But in terms sa quality ng education mas angat ang SHAP kaysa sa La Co kaya gusto ko sana dun mag grade 1 yung son ko. Kaya lang ayoko naman siya pilitin.
