My kids went to parkwood playschool and wala naman naging problem when i transferred them to big school in terms of credits.  If you want more feedback, i can just PM it to you

i would like to agree with some parent here who had bad experience here with "Studentdesk Integrated Montessori school" im so disappointed in you guys. especially admin people.
 

i asked for some requirments since il transfer my son sa mas malapit na school samin, my god it took me what, a month to get all the documents i needed. and how big is your class? 8-15 students, inabot ng gnaon katagal.. i got angry and nagreklamo ako s admin, and finally ng nagalitn ako tsaka palang nila ginawa [textspeak!] good moral na nirerequest ko,

mind you, this school daw is a family business,they started very small then ng lumipat cila s mercedes tska nag boom dahil ndadaanan ng mga commuters s mercedes ave. the admin herself was a "national bookstore clerk" before then suddenly she is now the admin of the school. seriously? walang qualifications or educational background for teaching?

no wonder simple request like good moral, form 137 etc.. hirap cila iproduce they actually dont know what they are doing. what kinda school is this?!!

marami kaming umalis.. including 2 teachers.

uniform nalang ang nag dadala sakanila. cute tignan. pero value for money and educational method nila is sooo poor.

i personally dont recommend this school.

Hi Guys. I hope I made the right choice enrolling my daughter sa Domu Schola (2nd choice). First choice sana namin e Poveda but since the school ends only in November in Singapore, the school cannot accept her this year but she was given a guaranteed slot na for Grade 3 next year. Ayaw ko naman mabakante ang anak ko so go na kami sa Domu Schola even if much expensive siya. She will start by December 2014. I'll be going back next week in Manila for the assessment of my daughter + submission of required documents.

Anyone here that has kids enrolled in DIS? Any review?

i have an 18th month boy, how early ba para isipin ko ang schooling nya? Like when does he starts? im looking for a progressive or montessori approach na school, i live in ortigas extn pasig.

I studied in huckleberry nun nursery ako.then transferred to CSR makati, then grade 4to highschool st paul pasig ako. If only co-ed ang spcp it would be easy for me to decide. Ang huckleberry ba traditional?

How near is parkwood sa rainforest? Kasi from my place malapit lapit na rin ang rainforest, kung sa marietta ako dadaan. Aong age ang start nya, at anong tawag sa class na yun? How much ang tuition fee dun ngayon? Ano mga naging activities nila? Like fieldtrip? School events? What is explore and discover?

And im also eyeing divine angels in cainta, pero hanap pa ako ng feedback.

How about sa ANTS? nakita ko last week lang,dito lang sa tabi ng Police Station at Church along C. Raymundo Pasig..okay kaya doon?everyday ba ang pasok ng Preschooler?Thanks!!

Jut finished backreading this thread. medyo confused pa din ako sa maraming bagay.

Im a FTM and my daughter is 18months old. as early as now gusto ko na sana paghandaan yung schooling nya. we live in sandoval ave pasig. very near st gabriel international school.

I just have a few questions.
1. How old ba dapat magstart ng schooling ang mga bata ngayon. my daughter will be 2 next year july. need ko na ba sya ienrol sa playschool? kailangan ba june 2014 kahit 23 months old pa lang sya i-enrol ko na sa playschool?

2. speaking of playschool, yun ba ang school na medyo light ang ginagawa ng mga bata? like more on playing, arts, projects, singing, dancing, etc.?
tama ba ang intindi ko?
ano pa ba ang ibang ginagawa sa playschool?
is it different from nursery, prep and kinder?
ive attended a trial class sa gymboree yung play n learn nila ska music class. parang ganun din ba ang playschool?

3. may nababasa pla akong progressive type of teaching/approach. ano po ito? may ibang type or approach po ba? parang ngayon ko lang kasi narinig ito. nung nagaarala ako at kapatid ko parang wala naman ganyan. hehe

4. may mga preparations ba kayong ginagawa bago nyo enrol sa playschool babies nyo? kailangan ba marunong na sya magsalita, identify colors, shapes, recites abc and count numbers?

Thanks in advance mga mommies ha. gusto ko sana tagala ma-enlighten sa mga patakaran ngayon in schooling. baka kasi mapagiwanan ang anak ko.

Mama7, galing doon yung nephew ko. So far maganda naman feedback ng kuya ko. Yung son nya english speaking, tapos maayos naman conduct. Mahiyain yung nephew ko. Ang alam ko lang na different sa school ng son ko eh may Grandparents day yung Sacred Heart. Pinapunta parents namin. I find it really cute.

Elementary na nephew ko, they moved to a bigger school in Paranaque.

Parang gusto ko na sa Sacred Heart Academy Pasig. Mukhang okay naman siya at sa mga schools na nadadaanan ko dito sa amin yun lang yung matino ang itsura at looks promising naman. Unlike nung mga maliliit na school gaya nung nasa may kanto ng Mercedes Ave. malapit sa PS Bank wala man lang waiting area o kahit parking lot na matino. Ang liit pa, alam ko bahay yon dati, ewan ko pa kung may playground yon at canteen ha.

Yung PCC naman malayo na saka parang magulo yung area non malapit sa church ang dami din tindahan ng kung ano-ano sa labas. Yung Nino Jesus naman public ba yon? nakita ko sa fb nila parang pang public schools yung itsura ng classrooms saka yung entrance di ko alam di yata kasya sasakyan don or baka may ibang gate na di namin alam.

Ayaw ko naman sa Parkwood kasi mahal din, parang feeling ni hubby mas worth it sa SHAP, mas disente daw talaga itsura. Ayun,    nag inquire na ako kung may summer class this summer para ready na anak namin sa June.

Sa mga may pre-schooler po dito, Mon-Fri din ba ang sched ng pasok ng Nursery? Wala po kasi akong idea. Ilang oras din kaya? yun bang mga anak niyo nung nag aral marunong na ba agad mag sulat? Sa anak ko kc 4 years old puro tracing, pa lang kasi nahihirapan siya pag pinapagsulat ko.. di ko alam ano req.sa enrollment baka may exam pa sila.. TIA!

I have a son in SHAP, Grade 4. Okay naman ang turo nila, nag eenjoy siya sa school. Madaming activities sa SHAP so hindi lang sila matutuo inside the classroom but will be exposed to other extracurricular activities. Medyo pricey lang for me yung tuition and other activities like yung field trip. I remember almost 2k ata yung fee for the companion nun tapos ang pupuntahan lang within the Metro na yung ibang entrance fees ay minimal or free lang.  Even yung fees for the fetcher's ID, sticker for the cars, mahal. Saka parang naliliitan ako sa space. Masyadong enclosed for me. Dami dami na kasi talagang students sa SHAP. Dati super problematic ang parking at traffic dun. Buti ngayon may new parking area na sila at the side of the school so na-lessen ang problem sa parking.  And my son loves SHAP so okay lang.

 I have another son naman in La Consolacion, along Mercedes Avenue. Mas traditional naman ang turo dun, and mas conservative kasi Catholic school talaga. Ang gusto ko sa La Consolacion mas konti ang students, hindi sila crowded. And lots of open spaces, garden, playground na pwedeng paglaruan ng mga bata. They have their own chapel. Lagi silang may mass ng First Friday, saka celebration ng mga important Catholic events. Saka feel at home  ang anak ko dun, to think na slow to warm up ang personality niya, mababait mga teachers, all the staff, students. Very family oriented. Mas luma lang nga lang mga facilities sa La Consolacion compared sa SHAP. Even yung mga restrooms hindi masyadong maintained. Pero again, my second son loves La Consolacion so okay lang

Hi izabelle. I have Grades 1 and 3 children in SHAP. Tuition is almost 50k per child per year plus around 10k for books, supplies and uniforms.

May Open House ang SHAP last Saturday March 14,late na kami nakadating super aga naman kasi 8:30am di pa gising daughter ko nun buti umabot pa kami.

Masyado lang ako nag expect kasi akala ko maganda yung facilities kung titignan mo kasi sa labas maganda. pero nung nag school tour na kami parang na-suffocate ako kasi walang view don sa taas pag umakyat ka sa bldg.ng gradeschool, puro pader na luma yung makikita mo. Yung mga classroom siguro kaya magulo walang nag ayos since bakayon naman. maliit yung hallway pero no choice naman yun kasi ang malapit sa amin. Titignan ko yung La Immaculada saka PCC kung okay. Parang 50k kasi for tuition fee tapos ganun lang yung classroom siguro magtingin muna ako sa iba..

Yun ang ayaw ko sa SHAP, mukha ngang nakakasuffocate. Ang pinaka open ground lang yung papunta ng covered court nila at yung new parking area sa tabi kung saan nila nilalagay mga rides pag foundation day. Pero malinis naman even yung CR maintained naman ang cleanliness. Tingin ko madami kasi masyado estudyante kaya kelangan nila ng madaming rooms. And 50k n tuition, medyo pricey nga talaga. Sa PCC I think madami din masyadong estudyante. Di ba sila over 40 students in a class?
