Do they offer summer classes?.First time ng anak ko to go school..May go signal na kasi ng doctor nya.kaso small class lang muna..mga 5 kids per class..Do you have any idea if they have small classes for summer? I hope you could help me.Thanks..

parkwood has summer class, sis.  not sure lang how many studes per class pero their regular class naman 10 studes per class lang so small pa rin...

sisses, would like to ask for your opinions. my daughter's 2 1/2 years old na and gusto ko sana na i-enroll siya sa isang summer class or short class lang na parang play-school. do you have any recommendations of schools who offer those kinds of classes na medyo affordable at accessible sa ortigas extension? dun kasi kami nakatira banda and gusto ko sana malapit lang para madaling ihatid at sunduin. working kasi kami ng hubby ko kaya mas okay kung yung school is just around the ortigas extension area. thanks in advance!

Mga sis... baka may ma-recommend naman kayo na progressive school dito sa Karangalan Village Manggahan Pasig. My son is turning 4 1/2 this coming school year... budget ko lang is Php 30T, husband ko lang kasi ang nagwowork...I'm having a hard time kasi most school napagtanungan ko tuition fees are 40T pataas....

may summer program ang parkwood playschool sis. it's only 3k per session,2 weeks na to.

Hi! I'm from Manggahan, Pasig. My son is turning 4 this May. I am looking for a good preschool for him. There's this ADT Montessori very near our house but haven't seen any feedback about it online. TF is 26k. The school looks clean and safe and a bit big (ADT also offers elem and high school education, though i am not sure if they are housed in the same campus). I am a bit apprehensive though coz it is not a popular school and TF seems cheap compared to other well-known preschools. But location wise, it is ideal. My son is a fast learner and independent for his age.

I am in the US right now for my masters and I couldn't observe the classes before the school-year ends. Hope you could help me decide. Also, I have these questions: Is it really worth paying around P100k for nursery? Would it be wise to send your kids for nursery in a school a bit far (I think ISYC or Miriam is around 30 minutes depending on the traffic)? Would the fame of the preschool matter in getting into Ateneo or similar schools later on?

^re the fame, not a big deciding factor cause it really boils down on your kid's ability. but i noticed with schools with more established names, they have higher batting average of passers to big schools. even when my daughter was applying to big school, the guidance head did not ask me anymore about my daughter's school since she's familiar with it and may name recall.

we're also near manggahan area (just a tricycle away from that street) and I've considered sending my daughter for toddler school and nursery to miriam. but having gone to college in the katipunan area and endured 4 years of traffic, we opted for a closer one. almost same TF as miriam but this one doesnt entail any travel time.  dont you want to consider libis area? thats very near manggahan and usually its against the traffic.

mommy_cynch 26k lang sa ADT Montessori? Maybe I will try to visit their school. Hirap maghanan ng school ng kaya lang ng budget ko... maganda naman ang education sa school nila... montessori approach sila or just a name?

@nicky_kim, yup. I'm not sure lang about the style of teaching. Medyo inclined din ako to stick with it, bata pa naman rather than a school not in walking distance coz i have to hire a driver then at mapapagod pa sya sa byahe. Baka pwede na with a good follow up na lang. I really don't know what impact pre school has sa future nila. Sa panahon ko kasi d uso yan. Nag visitor lang ako sa grade 1 which i stopped attending nung nalaman ko na d pala ako totoong grade 1!!! Is it really worth it to pay around 100k for TF gayung 2-3 hours lang sila dun every day?

in my own opinion, 100k is too much.  what's so special about their curriculum kaya kaya naging ganun kataas yung tuition?

@funky f, kaya nga e. I think poveda is even >100k... I am torn between being practical and the fear of guilt kung ma behind yung anak ko... I am really confused... But he has a first-cousin na sa probinsya lang nag graduate sa elementary pero with highest honor sa Phil Science at summa cum laude sa UP diliman. So hindi din talaga ganun ka nag matter kung saang school... Siguro since nursery pa lang naman pwede na muna sa malapit at mura...

i believe that a good school is important to a child's development but kung pre-school palang naman, hindi naman siguro kailangan 100k.  my daughters' pre-school now costs half of that but we're very happy with their development.  however, regarding the distance, in our case, we chose the school that's a bit far (outside our village) because i was able to compare and like it more than the ones inside our village.  so, for us, ok lang malayo ng konti (konti lang) basta better ang education.
