Coz I understand you had to lug around lots, and I mean lots. Thanks ha, youve been really helpful. And hanep sa blog ha, sarap basahin from cover to cover ;)

thanks sis.

^salamat, hopefully I could carry out a climb in the coming months. I prefer to take on Akiki-Ambangeg trail but it requires a certain level of climbing expertise/experience. Anyone here up for the same challenge?

Mt Pulag in serious jeopardy

what do you girls suggest, in our own little way and thru concerted efforts, we do in preventing the desecration of a mountain we hope to still marvel and revel on its remarkable charm till our last breath, and our offsprings' breath and their successors and so on.. ?

^^ Hello godessjem :) Kelan kayo nag-Pulag via Akiki-Ambangeg trail? if I may kwento a little, nag-climb ako recently at Mariveles. It was a major climb originally described as having a difficulty level of 5/9. But after the rigorous trek where we tackled a different and unconventional trail, even the trail leader (veteran mountaineer) ascribed it with a difficulty level of 7. And I consider that experience as my rite of passage to more serious and harder climbs, my purpose was to test my level of endurance and stamina.

Seriously though, I was told the Akiki trail is overwhelmingly steep. How did you prepare for the hike and ilang days kayo? Ive plans of trekking rthis specific trail soon so firsthand info/experience esply from a female hiker will be very valuable. Thanks :)

@fizzifinfun: in addition to the aforementioned recommendation, I suggest you opt for leggings that extends up to the ankle and choose a fabric that's less h20/moisture absorbent. The length shld provide ample protection so you can minimize incidence of nicks and cuts. saan hike nyo?
