I have an older sister and a younger brother.

Ako? I'm doing just fine, pero oo, kulang ako sa pansin. I need to be independent at wag ng makadagdag sa problem ng 2 kong kapatid. I plan for myself, kaya pag nagdecide ako, walang makakapigil sakin!

Ngayon malalaki na kami, ok naman kami. Bumukod na ako ng bahay.

I'm a middle child and the only girl.  We are five.  I'm the spoiled one.  Everything I need is being provided.  Kung may kailangan ako, very ready my mom to give. My sister in law is very jealous of me, but for my brothers, wala lang sa kanila.

^of course because you are the only girl so the middle child syndrome doesn't apply to you. ;) But imagine if all of you are girls and you're the middle child....i'm sure it'll be an entirely different story.

About the topic, i'm youngest so i can't relate pero i know someone who is the middle child and totoo, he has to work hard and save money for himself, pinagpapasahan ng magulang kung sino magbibigay ng pera kasi nabigay na sa panganay at bunso (dun ka sa nanay mo humingi ng pera; or dun ka sa tatay mo humingi).

I just wonder though, can't the parents really help it? Pwede naman sila mag-make ng conscious effort to give them attention just like all their other kids.

I have 2 and as much as possible i don't play favorites.
My mom does really make an effort and all of us her 3 kids feel equally loved. Pwede naman eh.
I feel bad for those middle kids who felt unappreciated and unloved because their parents have favorites (and making those favorites grow up spoiled and dependent adults). It's not their fault kung middle child sila. It's just so unfair.

Tahimik din sila compared sa aming mga panganay and bunso, very chill lang sila most of the time. They work hard without calling attention to themselves. But seriously, the middle kids in our family parang equalizers and voices of reason and they are such blessings.

parent here i have 3 kids . 2 daughters 1 is 13 one is 11 and a 5 year old boy.

When it was just the of them it was all and good my daughter was entering her first grade when our baby boy was born everything seemed to went haywire from that point actually before that it was almost a problem.

My first daughter has been an honor student from the get go. MY 2nd daughter is skilled but not as religious when it comes to her studies.

we never compared the 2 but when the boy arrived the issue got bigger.

there were alot of mishaps and a lot of issues including being bullied at school and at the same time not feeling appreciated at home but we do our best to compensate and make her feel its always fair between the 3 of them. When i buy stuff for my little boy i make sure both of them have it as well.

I dont understand why she feels as if she is the odd one. I have been doing the best i can but it is getting worst to point that she got bullied to steal money from us and lie about going to her classmate but instead ended up in a computer shop with the 2 other bullies.

at this point i honestly am so puzzled i dont want to hit her or shout at her but i cant think of a reason why is she behaving as such.

help anyone?

hi! I am a middle child, with an older brother and a younger sister.

Pero baka kapag nasa school na sila, the teachers can't help but compare your daughters. Same din with your other relatives. Kasi hindi maiiwasan yun di'ba? Baka nappressure si 2nd daughter mo sis.

It will help if you will encourage her. Compliment her on things where she excels more than her ate. Tell her that if her ate is good at english, she's good at math. And tell the ate to encourage the kapatid.

My younger sister, she always tell na I was always the better daughter, mas matalino, mas talented, mas sexy. Na parang she's living in my shadow.

What I always tell her, hindi ganon. I will tell her na she's more beautiful, na same lang kami intellectually, na I will never beat her at math, at she's good at games and sports.

Kailangan ng inside support ni daughter mo from you sis, from her family. Don't let her feel alone. Saka do you have dinner na sama-sama? Meals are good time to have conversation about day to day experience.

Kaya mo yan sis.

I am the middle child, with an older brother and a younger sister.

In my case, hindi naman ako ang black sheep. My kuya is that.

My personality is stronger than my kuya, so kapag may argument, ang tendency matalo sya.

Ako din yung parang mas matanda, na parang next to my parents, ako yung may authority.

Ganun siguro kapag lalaki, tapos babae ano?
