Thank goodness I found this thread, I happen to notice my second child is independent. Very strong and siga. Para siyang may sariling mundo and he is mature to think he is only 2, pero he speaks and acts like a 4 year old boy.

IMO, the Middle Child is always  the most practical, reliable, realistic and hardworking child.   Unfortunately,  kulang sa pansin kadalasan...but that nurtures their inventiveness, keen observation, flexibility and adaptability

awww... I can relate to this post.. I'm the 2nd child and 4 kame, 3 girls and one boy, yun boy pa sumunod sakin. My parents didn't give me enough attention pero kung tutuusin mas madali and matino ako kausap saming magkakapatid. no matter what I do, good or bad it doesn't really make much of an impact to my parents.. sanay naman na ko kaya okay lang..

I have to be sensitive with my middle child din siguro, kung ganyan pala ang madalas mangyari sa mga middle kids...

aw.. so ganun pala talaga yung usual na nangyayari pag middle child.. kala ko it's just me.. :(

2nd child ako.. 4 kaming magkakapatid at puro babae kami..
pero when it comes to attitude, i can attest na sa aming magkakapatid ako lang ang OC, mataas ang standard sa lahat ng bagay, may discipline sa sarili, ako lang din yung sobrang sweet, sobrang matampuhin, mahilig magsikreto, masyadong maawain at ang isa sa pinakang malalang effect sa akin ng mga naranasan ko noon ako lang ata sa aming magkakapatid ang walang tiwala sa sarili kaya ngayon i'm really hungry sa knowledge and informations..  :-[

This thread helps me a lot to understand the dilemmas of middle children.

i'm also the middle child. we are 3 girls in the family. i guess i am fortunate naman kasi never kong nafeel na may favorites sa amin. looking back, my parents really took time to have individual times with us.

Siya yung laging maasahan. yung bunso, well, a bit spoiled. Lahat kami ata at fault dito kasi talagang inispoil namin yun. Siya rin yung pinaka immature pa. hehe.

Ako na middle child well masasabi ko iba ako mag-isip than my sisters. I always have been the risk-taker. Once it enters my head, I have to follow it through.

Buti na lang my family has always been supportive of me.

haha. im the middle child too. . kaya as much as possible lahat gagawin para mapansin ng parents.
mataas na grades. awards. etc.
magiging independent ka talga in a way.

nakikita ko rin yan sa middle child ko. now i understand why i feel like they didn't give me the attention i needed.

for me dapat lagi lang kausapin ang bata ng maayos. para ngkakaintindihan. para they will not feel na taken for granted sila.

i'm a middle child and i dont think i'm a 'problem child.' if anything, my mom tells me one of the most behaved children she's had (we're 5).

do i think differently than my siblings? of course i do, but doesn't everyone else think the same of themselves? am i rebellious? i dont think i am; i dont smoke, drink alcohol or drugs.

i dont think there should be an issue with birth order because parents should (or at least try) to love and treat each of their children equally. the rebellious and negative behavior starts when a child feels neglected and unloved.

Ako middle child also, not too much attention here. Too lenient na I had to fend for myself.

i can't relate to this one because i'm the eldest among us 2..hehe, but my husband is the middle child, i would say that yeah right, among them, 3 kasi sila, his ate, my husband, and his sister na bunso sya yung pinaka successful sa career. He's a telecom engineer/ telecom consultant.Nakikita ko parang sya yung panganay kasi broken family sila, Kwento nya sa akin before na nung mga bata sila average student lang sya unlike his two sister na palagi may mga award, 1st,2nd honor blah..blah..He can do a lot of things especially when it comes to technical aspects like electronic, electrical, mechanical, he can even do carpentry, he's a toy collector too,. He's very smart, maabilidad, marunong sa buhay, responsible, generous kaya lang dominant sya tpos may pagka possessive pero now hindi na masyado kc im capable of contradicting his opinions sometimes unlike before na yes.yes, yes, lang.. ;D

Ako din, middle child. When I was younger hindi ko naman nafeel na I was being rejected or anything like that. Pero halata namin ng ate ko na favorite ng parents namin yung youngest namin. nagiisang lalaki kasi yon tapos bunso pa! pero nung maghi-HS yung kapatid ko, medyo binawas bawasan ng parents ko yung attention sa kanya... medyo naghigpit, nagstart mag set ng rules and boundaries, kasi nga naman matanda na siya... ayan, ang sutil niya ngayon, kasi nasanay siyang nakukuha niya lahat ng gusto niya when he was younger haha...
Hindi din applicable saming magkakapatid na mas magkasundo ang panganay at bunso... i remember when we were younger, pag magoout of town trip kami, kahit na pinakamaliit yung kapatid kong lalaki that time, ako pa din ang uupo sa gitna nilang dalawa. kasi pag nagkatinginan yung dalawa, or masagi ng isa yung isa, nag wworld war 3 sila sa kotse! riot! at hanggang ngayon, kahit na ang tatanda na namin, dapat magkahiwalay pa din sila! haha haha! buti nalang ako pinakamaliit samin ngayon! kasya pa din ako sa middle seat! LOL!

Three kaming magkakapatid. Susunod agad yun.

Hello purpleblush18, naku I feel for you.

I have 3 kids aged 13,11 and 7. Ang 11 year old ko talagang special sa akin kasi she craves for my love and attention. I really can't blame her kasi she has to compete with the eldest and youngest. I love all my 3 kids, but I always have a special space in my heart for my middle kid. I tell her our secret that she is my favorite and somehow napa pacify siya.

May mga hand me downs siya na admit from her sister but we also get one for her para may feeling siya na bago din ang gamit nya. So far when we started doing that, na lessen ang insecurities nya...
