pwedeng sumagot?
but my husband is
in his case he is the glue..the mediator..the go between.
dun kami stay sa bahay nila with his parents.. most of the time we do errands for them.. we keep house meaning maintenance ng bahay..kotse.. taga bantay sya ng plumber, electrician, driver, houseboy whatever..
yung 2 kapatid nya maski dun pa nakatira sa family home di tumutulong sa pag-"keep house" meaning they use the car whenever wherever.. iwan lang gamit kahit saan..if something breaksdown they call my hubby..pag tumulo ang bubong they call my hubby..pag nasira faucet they call my hubby,  hahahaha!! patawa nga eh na nakaka-frustrate kasi matatanda na sila lahat 30's na

i am 2ndth sa eldest of 5; of which eldest sister ko does whatever she wants and napaka irresponsible (among other things) so, my parents made me the eldest.  pati dito sa work sa problem na ginawa ng eldest, pinasalo sa akin (same pa kami ng sweldo).

at their early 60s tinatamad na sila maging parent so pati pag alaga ng the rest of my siblings, pinasa na sa akin.

sa bahay nila hubby..sya nag-iigib ng nawasa.. he gets up at 1am to make sure the motor is running para makakuha ng nawasa gets back to bed and wakes again at around 3 or 4 am para patayin ang tubig.

his mom asked him to check her shower.. he tried to look into it and tried to fix it himself  eh di nya pala kaya kasi may iba sa pagkakabit ng knob ng shower..anyway nagalit ang mom nya sa kanya....bakit daw kasi pinakialamanan nya hahahahaha!!! super frustrated na si hubby.

My younger brother, middle child, is our family's glue. He does everything just to make sure our family stays together. Pag may problem, we consulted him.

Kasi my husband wants na palagi sila magkakasama. Kaya everytime na umuuwi sya, palaging may mga lakad na kasama mga siblings nya and even his parents. With problems, yes sya din ang takbuhan. He's the eldest.

I think in every family, talagang may isang tao na will try his best to keep his family intact and it doesn't matter kung pang-ilan ka, just the same, may black sheep din diba ;)

parang kapag middle child may sarili kang mundo.natututo kang mabuhay magisa, maging strong at maggrow magisa.

 ;D  ;D  ;D

middle child syndrome ba tawag dun?  Can't remember.  But I used to have that when I was younger.  Pero in my case kasi, kapag nagkaisip ka na talaga and you are now the one deciding for yourself, parang wala na din yang syndrome na yan. :)

IMO, the Middle Child is always  the most practical, reliable, realistic and hardworking child.   Unfortunately,  kulang sa pansin kadalasan...but that nurtures their inventiveness, keen observation, flexibility and adaptability

^ Agree with you, sis.
But I've seen some middle children who grew up otherwise. hehe. Pero their number is far lesser than the successful ones I've met.

middle child here, and admittedly, i have the so-called "middle child syndrome".

agree ako with middle kids being stronger, more independent, and individualistic. minsan medyo kulang nga sa pansin, but with good reason. we're so independent our parents kinda just leave us to fend for ourselves.

Kung ano yung nakikita sa nakakatandang kapatid ginagaya.... based on my personal experience.

Middle child here.

Based on aquacharly's description I will have to say yes to all of them.

I'm so reliable and independent that my mom told her masahista "Never akong nagkaproblema diyan" (referring to me). I just do what I need to do, and rarely bother her. I think this stems from childhood too, kasi sanay na ako na hindi pinapansin lagi, and siyempre in order to "survive", I have to learn to be independent.

And that is why I went abroad by myself since I was 20 and started living and studying in an entirely different culture from Manila (even the language).

And yes, papansin din ako, cause lagi ako nagtatampo sa bf ko when he doesn't have time for me  :)

i agree with being independent.  i've been deciding things on my own for as long as i can remember.  sabi nga ng mom ko, hindi ako high maintenance na bata.  kahit nung first day ko sa school, hindi ko iniyakan parents ko.  i jumped out of the car and waved bye. :P  at the same time, since i decide for my own, i don't like it when my decisions get questioned.  hindi naman ako sure kung naga-apply sakin yung papansin.  kasi, i dislike standing out.  pero there may be things i do na papansin na hindi ko lang nare-recognize as such.

may nabasa ko na middle children deal best with last born/youngest children.  i don't completely agree with that, because most of the people i work well with are first borns. :)

i agree i dont want others questioning my decisions.

but sometimes i find myself difficult to deal with. i have high expectations to others and myself and when they fall short i get diasppointed.

Isa nalang single pa about to be married kaso nagbreak sila. He wants to feel superior kasi malaki ang kinikita niya pero deadma lang kami ni eldest, not affected  ;D he tends to compare his family to my family and our eldest. second brother ko pala siya but he has some issues. I expect nga ang maging middle child samin is yung pang 3rd. Kasi 3 sila then me youngest na only girl pa.
