How to deal with babies suffering Colic?

sis, if colic yan, i think mawawaa din yan eventually. ako din sobrang naaawa before kay baby kasi wala akong magawa, pero kusa naang din nagbago sya siguro nga tapos na yung colic days nya nun. im not so sure lang sis. enfalac lactose free gamit ko ngayon kay baby. okay saknya tong milk na to

My baby is a month old - my doc gave it pero the dosage is mababa - .6 lang when she was only 3.1 pounds, two weeks later (now) at 4.8 tinaasan nya at .8 (every 6 hours if needed)

We do it once a day, pero as a last resort kasi my mom is worried that it might be addicting kanina i was supposed to give her kasi ang fussy, lahat na ng position ginawa ko tapos my niece turned on disney (mickey Mouse club house - tumahimik. LOL. Ayun, bukas ulit yun ang i tatry ko

yeah. He's been the family doctor for 20 years I asked him nga after you guys raised the issue - he said depende sa dosage.

Dr. Yatco in BF Pque, all 4 of my pamankins and most of my friends kids e sa kanya, they all grew up healthy naman.

Now Im natatakot tuloy.

first time mom po ako... my baby is 2weeks and 3 days old... kagabi, sobrang iyak ang baby ko, hindi namin alam ang gagawin namin sa bahay. iyak siya ng iyak, hindi [textspeak!] normal na iyak nya before kapag gutom. tapos til this morning ganun pa rin siya. wala pa siyang maayos na tulog mula kagabi. dati pag karga siya ng lolo nya, tumatahan na siya, kagabi lahat kami hindi pa siya natahan... ano po gagawin ko?

im one of the fortunate ones na hindi colicky angbaby.. *whew* fussy lang pala sya nun hahaha..m as gusto nyang katabi kami sa bed than in his crib, when we co-sleeped, tanggal na ang fussiness nya

just an update... my baby is now 6 weeks old.  we took out the non-avent bottles.. thank God the colic hasn't come back!!!

yan din advice sakin ni pedia before. avent daw ipagamit ko lahat ng bottles ni baby kasi saknya daw effective. hindi colicky babies nya. yung pagiging colicky ni baby, eventually nawala din. mga 3wks din kame nagsuffer nun. thank god it's over na

hi, i just wanna share my experience..pra mka tulong dn s ibang mommies..

my baby was colicky when he was 3wks old.at first kala ko nabati lang ng pinsan niya kasi sabi ni hubby malakas maka-usog yun.naniwala nman ako pro hindi naman taalga ko naniniwala s gnon..kasi the next day ok nman siya..basta every other day ang pagiyak nya.3 nights ganon c baby kaya nag worry na ko.dinala ko siya s pedia and pedia said colic nga daw.we changed baby's milk from s-26gold to s-26 lactose free.tapos she prescribed RESTIME drops to reduce gas. 3x a day for 3consecutive days un tpos 1 hour before bed time, 4 consecutive nights..sabi ng pedia ibalik dw s kanya pag hindi p din ok si baby.after non, naging ok naman si baby.as in hindi na naulit yung pagiyak niya ng matagal.at palagi na masarap ang tulog niya.hanggang ngayon ok si baby kaya nga kahit dito n kame sa cavite nakatira, diadala ko pa si baby sa pedia niya for his monthly check up kasi sobrang hiyang siya dun.

^ sa mercury drug sis, yan din prescribe sakin ng pedia ko before nun super nagkaprob ako sa baby ko, 1week before his 3rd month, bigla na lang nawala yun colic nya, i dont know kung dahil sa restime or talagang natapos na nya yun phase ng pagiging colicky eh.Ngayon super himbing at direcho na sleep nya during the night.

i bought restime drops after i read this thread... 1 week na kasi super iyakin si baby and by next month pa schedule nmin sa pedia nya, malayo kasi kami sa city... He's 5week old only and halos umaabot ng 3-4hrs sya kaiiyak kda-gabi... naiiyak ako sa awa sa kanya and karindi din... stressed kami ni hubby this week..

May mga hesitations pa rin ako... k lang kya eto gagawin ko, painom ko sya without the doctor's prescription? since during nighttime lang sya kinakabag, before bedtime ko lang ba sya painom? or sundin ko talaga dosage sa pakete na 4 times a day? help nman mga mommies....

hi! ganyan din baby ko nung 6 weeks siya pero when i started using avent anti colic the gold one bottle nawala ang pagiging iyakin ng sobra sobra..and hindi ko nga pinapaburp pero hindi na iyakin nagfafart lang parati hehe. And minsan umiiyak ng hindi ko maintindihan why pero ginagawa ko nilalagay ko siya sa duyan during the day and at night sa crib or bed namin ni hubby. Himbing naman ang sleep na. By the way, im using NAN H.W. din sa milk niya before S26.

i didn't know na colic si baby until nun last check-up niya nun 1 month old siya. binigyan kami ni pedia ng sample ng restime, pero bigyan ko lang daw si baby sa gabi as needed lang. so one night edi iyak ng iyak, binigyan ko, pero ganon pa din. pag tina-tap ko un tummy may sound pa rin. un baby ko kasi ayaw na ayaw ng pinapaburp as in sobrang likot niya, to the point na nag gi-give-up na lang ako kasi pagkababa ko sa kanya tulog na siya, un nga lang maya't maya gising tapos iiyak. so i tried diff. styles, tapos napansin ko simula nun pinapaburp ko siya ng nakatayo ako (before kasi nkaupo lang ako) mas mahimbing na tulog niya. baka pwede niyo itry mga sis. un restime once ko lang binigay sa kanya. mas effective pa rin un burp and naka elevate head niya for at least 10mins. eh since minsan talaga di ko macontrol un kalikutan niya, pinapatong ko na lang siya sa pillow tapos hawak ko un head with my 2 hands, tapos hele. sa ngayon ang laki ng inimprove ng sleeping habits niya. after feeding, burp then tulog na siya, un interval ng feeding niya ngayon almost 3 hours na dati kasi every 1 hour.

^search mo sa internet ang woodwards gripe water. locally, it can be found in indian stores (P80). my baby's used it since a month old siya. it's really helped. i mix 5 ml with 4 oz of sterilized/distilled water.  i only give it when colic kicks in.
