hi to all sisses! please help me.. il be expecting to give birth next month.. i do not know what to buy for my delivery and for baby and also for myself. Please help me what to buy and bring for me and my baby,. Thank you in advance!

what I brought for the birth of my daughter:

FOR MOMMY,
Birth/labor clothes
Easy to digest food
Drink to replenish electrolytes - I prefer Recharge
Maternity pads

Going home clothes

FOR BABY,

i also suggest na magdala ka ng mga reading materials (magazine) or mp3 to keep you occupied lalo na kapag nag lalabor ka pa lang para di ka ma bored sa hospital. Dala ka din ng toiletries mo (baby powder, deodorant, toothbrush etc.) to keep you fresh.

Am also expecting my 2nd child pero feeling newbie ulit kasi it's been 8 years na...from experience bring the following:

1.Separate baby's bag from yours to  make it easier for you to just hand it over to the nurses.
2.YOUR BAG (depending on  the hospital, you can omit some items na if provided naman nila yung ibang things)
-IDs and wallet containing only enough cash na pang downpayment-leave you CC behind for safety reasons;madali naman mag withdraw ng money thru ATM machines if ever
-if your hubby is with you, leave your cellphone behind
-camera,with spare batteries/charger
-disposable panties (u can buy these at watson's) para hindi ma-stain yung normal underwear mo for the heavy bleeding
-thick socks (it tends to get really cold in the labor room!)
-2 or 3 pairs of PJs that can open from the front (or dress) for breastfeeding purposes
-a book/handheld game/magazine para di ka ma-bore...or an mp3 player (not the cellphone kasi may tendency lang mawala yan sa hospital)
-simple snacks like crackers,hard candy and drinks like milk/juice
-jacket for hubby as it get really cold in the Labor room..
**optional-toiletries,maternity pads,slippers (as these are sometimes part of an admission kit, depending on the hospital)

FOR BABY
Prepare the baby bag separately para maibigay mo agad sa nurses.Just make sure it has your name on it!
-coming home clothes (usually a onesie, at least 2-3 pairs)
-mittens,cap and booties
-baby blanket
-baby car seat ( make sure the base is pre-installed beforehand in your car)
**optional-wipes, diapers in NEWBORN size (some hospitals provide these);smallest feeding bottles you're pre-sterilized beforehand (make sure it has your name on it too) so you can use these in your room when your baby does room-in immediately with you.if you can bring the microwave sterilizer for your bottles so much the better kasi most hospitals have at least a microwave oven naman na....


Also include your SSS ID/forms from your Doctor like admission notes, birth plan (if you have any),reimbursement forms from your HMO,and THE BABY BOOK (uf your baby has one) for thoase foot prints!

I had a CS delivery last September and stayed for 2 days at the hospital. Here are the things that we packed:

Mommy bag:
3 night gowns
1 set pajamas (wasnt able to use)
8 panties
3 bras (wasnt able to use)
going home outfit
slippers
toiletries (facial wash, toothbrush and toothpaste, lotion, alcohol, tissues)

Baby bag:
4 onesies
3 long sleeved tiesides
3 pajamas
3 short sleeved tiesides
4 blankets
1 pack 40+ counts diapers
3 feeding bottles
breastpump
6 pairs mittens and booties
3 caps
washcloths and lampins

Others:
my medical history in a clearbook
baby book
digicam
laptop
towels
blankets
clothes for hubby
mug, spoon, and fork

JESRORA--- depends sa hospital niyo...some hospitals provide the new born clothes while still in the hospital (like your patient's gown which is on loan for you)..dadalhin mo na lang yung going-home clothes so 1 set lang ang need mong dalhin...pero booties & mittens should at least have 3-4 pairs kasi hindi provided yun.

naka ready na ang aking maternity bag nung 7mos preggy pa lang ako.. it includes:

mommy:
- 2 pairs of clothes (pj's set; ayaw ko kasi ng hospital gown, hehe)
- slippers
- comb/ toothbrush/ toothpaste
- soap/ shampoo (normal delivery kasi ako, kaya pede na ligo agad)
- tissue/ maternity pads
- alcohol

baby:
- newborn clothes
(tieside, pjs, mittens, booties, bib, cap)
- changing mat
- extra diaper (kahit provided ng hospital yung nappy, at least my extra)
- milk bath/ cotton buds/ balls,
- milk container/ f. bottles * ni ready ko kasi in case na hindi ako mag breastfeed; buti na lang kasi wala akong gatas pala 
- baby wrapper

aside from what our sissies said na, personally:

-great book/mp3, hehe, dahil sakto moody yung cable sa room ko at nakamamatay ang boredom.
-in case walang heater or they don't provide hot water (for bath OR food/drink), yung electric kettle. sa bath, kasi definitely bawal malamig pagligo
-antibacterial wipes
-true yung maliit na can of formula, in case of late milk letdown
-cetaphil for baby (dko alam kung provided na to sa hospital kasi nagdala pa rin ako  )
-swaddling blankies for baby din

from my experience nung nag-duty ako sa ospital, eto lang talaga mga need kapag sa public ka manganganak:

mommy:
extra damit, preferrably duster.
extra na unan and kumot
adult diaper and maternity napkin

baby:
damit
mittens and cap
diaper

yan lang naman kase kahit wala kang dala na mga toiletries ni baby, i am sure na meron an nun yung ospital. at saka iho-hoard lang nila yung dala nyo.,. yun lang..
