mga sis I am taking 30mg daily and my doctor advised me to take it for 6 months..sabi ng mga friends ko adik daw ako.. kasi poreless na nga daw ata ako.. natatkot kasi akong magbreak out siguro i might go back if may mapansin akong adverse effect yung drying ng lips ko tolerable naman na nagvavaseline petroleum jelly na lang ako ng bonggang bongga yun na din ang ginagawa kong lip balm or lip gloos under my lipstick. nagkakaron din ako ng mood swing pero ngayon lang ang first attack ko after a month of taking the med.. as in now tinotopak ako wawa naman yung boylet ko :p hahahaha

Acnetrex is the way talaga!!!! Skin saver talaga. People shouldnt wait till they get scars from years of acne. Dapat take na agad ng ganitong prescription drug for acne. I took the low dose for 5 months. Then during those months todo diamond peel and tca peeling. Tapos nagpa pixel pa ako. Kaya no scars talaga. Magaling din yung derma ko kasi she noticed daw if under acnetrex ang patient, this is the best time to do pixel. Naminimize yung pores ko. And people really compliment how good my skin looks.

Been following this thread before I started taking Acnetrex..

I'm off Acnetrex for almost 9 months now and i'm having minimal breakouts before and after my monthly period. Took acnetrex for 1 months first month I was taking 20 mg daily but it was increased to 30 mg daily for the last 5 months. Also took Acutrex for the 2nd month but returned to Acnetrex. So far everything is okay just back to being oily, a few breakouts every now and then and some side effects of the medications like my eyes are sensitive to light, been having migraines which i didn't experience before and weak bones.. Trying to exercise now and i'm taking calcium capsules 2x daily.

Anybody here tried to undergo TCA CROSS / PIXEL / DERMAROLLER while on ACNETREX / ACUTREX? Just read sis CRISTAL's post I didn't know it was okay to undergo procedures while on acnetrex. I was told by my derma to wait for atleast 6 to 9 months. I'm just waiting so I can deal with my acne scars.. Still can't decide what procedure to go for..

Like some of u i do nitnhave a long history of stubborn pimple breakouts. Ang laging prob ko lang ay comedones at enlarged pores.  Pero about 4 months back nagka breakout ako that caused scars ( mababaw lang naman) at hindi nawawala. Magddry up then mapapalitan ng bagong pimple. Before this, yung face ko makinis naman like cheeks ko kita yung blood vessels pero malaki pores sa nose area. Then wala akong maintenance meds. Exceot pag nagpapapeel sa derma.

So anyway my derma tried tca peeling nung una then prescribed topical meds.  Pero the pimples wont stop. Nspabili tuloy ako ng maraming makeup at concealers.  Ayaw pa rin mawala so iasked derms if pwede ba akong uminom ng gamot -i had zero idea abt acnetrex ha- so eto she offered acnetrex pero in mild dosage lang.  She explained to me very clearly the benefits and risks and common misuse.

So tonight is my 1st night of taking acnetrex. 10mg/daily ako.  No specific term of treatment parang observe muna namin.  Sabi nya pag nagkabreakout ako i could visit her oara she can give me daw steroid somethung to address the breakout/purging.

Im excited sa totoo lang. I want clear skin! Ayoko ng dumamimpa ang pekas ko sa muka.  Pasalamay nga ako na mababaw lang, baka madaan sa peeling.   Yes risky pero sabi nya the documented risks kasi is more of pregnancy related. Tho pagkabasa ko ng brochure sa box scary rin.

nakakadepress na [textspeak!]. haha makinis ako before, as in wala [textspeak!] pimple or what. pero one day bglang ngkaron ng bumps sa face ko, countless bumps. lagi [textspeak!] akong ngvivisit sa dermatologist ko and she have it removed pero it would just show up again and again after a few days. then siguro nakulitan na sya sken kaya she prescribed acnetrex 10mg once a day for a month. im almost on my 2nd week of taking it. reduced oiliness, wala ding pimple pero [textspeak!] bumps andun pa din. they are all over my left cheek, around the mouth and on the chin. what can you say about this? please help me. haha its starting to affect my activities of daily living.hoho thank you very much fro your reply!

hi girls i am on my 3rd month using Roaccutane and i can say super effective siya sakin. no more breakouts although uber drying esp. sa lips. super moisturize talaga dapat, no scrubbing din kasi feeling ko ang nipis nipis ng skin ko. although di na din ako nag ooily masyado. i am taking 20mg AM and 10mg PM so 30mg ako daily. topakin din ako minsan effect din ata yun ng gamot.pero i can say my skin got much smoother & softer & clear..

awww I can totally relate sis!  I'm on my 3rd week of Acnotin 10 (Isoretinoin), parang endless talaga! Dati, once in a while [textspeak!] ako nagkakaroon ng cystic acne, tapos biglang dumami after a week of taking Acnotin 10! Sa left cheek and sa chin, sobrang malaki yung acne, it's endless! pero sa right cheek wala naman, ni isa, wala. sa left lang talaga. it's like, having 3-4 acnes sa left tapos 2 acne sa chin! grabe. (My sister took Acnotin din kasi for 6 months and talagang nawala yung acnes nya (hereditary, sa genes talaga). Ang sakit ng acnes.. huhuhuhuhu

any of you had the same experience?

bakit ba ngayon ko lang nalaman ang acnetrex huhuhu... acnetrex is not for those who are planning to have a child or is sexually active.  it will have side effects sa baby.  no choice ako but to resort to topical treatments.  dapat nung teenager pa lang ako, nag take na ako nito waaahhh!!!

nag backread ako a bit, i can relate sa mga experiences of living an acne life heheh...sobrang nakakababa ng self-esteem. college ako nag start magkapimples, and since then until now i'm still battling with this acne.  from somebody who was once "crush ng bayan" (ehem...hahah) when I was in high school, i suddenly became an ugly duckling because of acne.  sirang sira ang mukha ko, wala akong pampaderma, bumaba ang self-esteem ko. nawalan ako ng suitors, parang ayokong humarap sa tao esspecially sa mga high-school classmates ko.  para akong isinumpa hahah.  i told myself never to let this happen to my children.

hello girls.. just want to update you this is my 5th month on roaccutane and i can say super effective siya for me. when i went home for vacation in phils. a month ago friends and family noticed mas gumanda lalo ang skin ko.. sabi nila para na daw akong walang pores hehe. although ang downside lang nito minsan parang moody ako topakin ba hehe pero mabilis naman mawala compare sa topak ko sa diane grabeh un! hehe sorry OOT.

meron lang akong question gaano katagal kayo nag-take nito? sakin kasi till feb ang prescription ko.. may nabasao ako dati na si kristine hermosa daw eto ang gamit kaya pala uber ganda ng skin niya.. and pwede ba to gawing maintenance babaan ang dose?? wala lang curious lang hehe

hmm yung sakin 30mg per day 20/10 am/pm ewan ko dun sa doctor ko hehe mahal pa naman to buti naman na rereimburse ko sa health insurance ko pero grabe talaga magpadry ng skin to esp lips!

Im a newbie here.  I just wanna thank all of you girls who kept posting their experiences regarding roaccutane. I thought I was alone, suffering from acne. Your stories gave me a new sense of hope!  Im taking roaccutane for a month now. My skin, (thank God) is improving. Im miraculously not oily anymore! I think it'll get better in time.

I just wanna ask what skin products you girls use topically while on roac. Since our skin tends to be super dry. Im using obagi now. And im peeling everyday!! Is anyone using Obagi while on roac? (i know there's another thread regarding obagi, but i just wanna ask if anyone here has used obagi. Are we allowed to use creams etc while on roac?

^ Hello Sis i am using avene products to moisturize my face.. di naman nagpepeel ang face ko body oo pero the lips grabeh ang dryness so super lip balm lips gloss talaga. bawal din mag scrub kasi masusugat ang skin. yun ang sabi ng doctor ko.

di ako nagoobagi eh.. yung bestrfriend ko oo ok naman uber drying nga.. as in mega peel ang face niya.. although she stopped right now sa roac kasi may hormonal imbalance siya.

I need your advice ladies.  I'm in late 20's, female, walang plans magka-baby right now & in the near future, have extremely (annoying) oily skin and derma recommended Accutane - should I give it a go?  Will it be worth all the risk?

Hi all, just want to share my experience with acne and Acnetrex . I've been battling with acne for more than 10years and am really glad that finally I have gotten rid of acne problems with Acnetrex.  I took Acnetrex for 6 months last 2010, hanggang ngayon medyo controlled naman khit wala na akong iniinom, no serious breakouts. Sa ngyon I want to improve my acne scars, if anyone has suggestion about laser (fraxel or pixel) or derma-roller, hope you can share your experiences.

I still have excess Acnetrex with me, total of 100pcs. I would like to sell it at discounted price now. Got mine at 1500php per box of 30pcs from my derma. Selling now the 100pcs at 4300php.
