^^thanks for sharing your story, ako naman i remember mga 2nd year HS ako nagstart magka zits, pero lumala lang siya nung college and nag continue lumala recently lang.

nagstart na ko uminom ng acnetrex last night and kinakabahan talaga ako, baka mag break out ng sobra, hindi pa naman puno ng zits face ko pero huge cystic kasi ang tumutubo lalo na pag malapit na period saka pabalik balik lang sila. bumaba talaga self esteem ko.
but i will try to be patient na lang, hopefully sana mag work din sa akin acnetrex.

I remember hindi ako nagpanic kasi isip bata pa ako nun. Tsaka wala pa yatang GTALK heheh.
Mababa din self esteem ko nung time na yun. Torpe na nga ako sa girls mas naging torpe pa ako
Sobrang sakit ng cysts kahit hindi mo hawakan masakit.

Re: absorption of medications, better siguro kung clean as a horse yung magtake kasi kung toxic baka delayed reaction yung mangyayari

^oo nga, plan ko talaga every 2 weeks babalik ako sa derma ko para magpa cleaning and i-che check niya din yung reaction ng acnetrex. thanks again!

Nung nasa kolehiyo naman ako I believe nasa 2nd or 3rd year ata ako ay bumalik ako sa dermatologist ko uli dahil medyo nagbalikan yung mga pimples ko. Moderate yung pimples ko dito so nagpatreat nanaman ako tapos nun she suggested na magpa blood test na rin ako. So far normal naman lahat ng vital signs ko, so ayun bumalik nanaman ako sa pagtake ng gamot but instead of buying roaccutane pinashift na ako sa acnetrex kasi mura na same effects lang naman siya sa roaccutane. Clarify ko lang na connected to sa 2nd paragraph ko. So bale 2nd cycle ko na ito na naglast lang ng 2months. Effects are the same. Chapped lips lang ang na experience ko. Immediate din ang effect niya sa akin. No purging. 2 months lang ang itinagal ng treatment ko tapos after a few months bumalik din ang pimples nanaman. Naging moderate uli siya. After nun with the help of my mom nagshift na ako sa ibang dermatologist.

Dun naman sa bago kong dermatologist medyo conservative siya. Hindi na niya ako pina take ng acnetrex because of its short and long term effects in the body. Yung treaments ng doctor sa akin was the usual pricking and injections. Meron konting peeling sessions to dry and heal the skin. 4th year college student na ako nito. Tumagal lang yung treaments ko sa kanya hanggang umalis na siya ng bansa to seek greener pasturesa abroad.

Nung nag-graduate na ako from college may time na pabalik balik yung pimples ko. May time nagbreakout din ako with multiple cysts on my face. Tapos habang nag gym ako I meet someone who introduced me to an acne system treatment for my face. Moderate pa rin yung face ko nito, hindi na ako bumalik sa dermatologist. With her help, I tried the product although medyo skeptic ako sa pag gamit sa product and medyo tamad talaga sa mga pahid pahid sa face ginamit ko. Medyo skeptic pa nga ako sa product eh pero go pa rin ako parang no choice na rin ako eh. Everyday ko pinapahid yung product sa face ko. Simple lang yung treatment system for acne CLEANSE, TONE, and MOISTURIZE. Medyo sinipag nga ako sa pag-apply sa product mainly because it was expensive din 5K labas niya. Hassle! kaya sinipagan ko tagala yung pagapply nung product. After a month.....Nagclear up din pimples ko. hehe I love the product especially the night cream. The night cream is interchangeable with the moisturize and is to be used in the evening lang. When you wake up nga parang ang kinis ng mukha ko. To date 5 years ko na siya ginagamit. So far so good.

Take note lang its pimple prevention lang ah. Hindi total eradication of pimples mushrooming up in the future.

I was called pala: Pizza face, mukhang lupa, and Cracken. Nung natapos Buwan.....just for laughs

^ang haba pala talaga ng journey mo ah, i'm glad na control mo na ata ngayon zits mo?

ako naman, halos malapit na din maging clear ang face, nag dry na halos lahat ng zits, problem ko na lang eh sana wag na ako magpurging while on acnetrex, kasi sayang naman if maglalabasan ulit mga zits, eh nag heal na nga yung mga cystic ones.  i popped my 5th pill kaninang dinner and so far wala pa akong breakouts. tomorrow morning mag start na ako mag change ng dosage from once a day(10mg) to twice a day(20mg),kinakabahan ako kasi baka dito na ko mag purge since mas mataas na dosage.

nung time na naka acnetrex ako, twice or thrice ata ako nagpa prick ng face as advised by derma. pinagsisihan ko yung pagprick na yun kasi  skin is very soft pag naka acnetrex. kasi nagiwan siya ng visible scar sa face ko  brought about by pricking.

usually kasi pag nagkaka acne ako hindi nags-scar kesahodang paulit ulit siyang tumubo. pero that time lang nung pinrick during acnetrex period eh nagscar siya. so be wary of that.

^hi yee sis! thanks for the tip, ako naman every 2 weeks ang plan ko bumalik sa derma para magpa clean ng face, pero siguro suggest ko kay doc na injection with steroids na lang at wag prick. pwede din kaya magpa peel ng face while on isotret?

actually, may mga maliliit na nga ako na pock marks because of pricking din sa dermstrata and other facial clinic na na-try ko before, kahit di ata ako naka oral isotret mabilis talaga ako magka keloid or scars  pinagsisihan ko nga e na sana hindi pala ako madalas magpa facial cleaning with prick noon, pero pag may make-up di halata yung pock marks, pero pag walang make up at naarawan sobrang halata mga marks.

^parang keloid na din, pero hypertrophic scars ata tawag nila dun sa color white na scar pero maliit lang naman and walang laman sa loob. yung pock marks naman na sinasabi ko mas maliit siya sa ice pick scars, almost kahawig ng large pores. hehe.
ika 6th day ko ngayon sa oral isotret and parang nagsisimula na maging dry lips ko. waaaaaah!!

Bigalang ako naman ang nagkaroon ng mga pimple now.. after using DTW, i had break outs for almost a week na.. she's giving me yung mga sobra pa niyang capsules... you think its okay for me to use it?

^sis, i suggest you consult a dermatologist first before taking oral isotret since maraming side effects yung isotretinoin.

I took Roaccutane years ago pero bumabalik din. Pero ngayon ang problem ko is whiteheads/blackheads.

sis sorry sa late reply.. actually mga 3 weeks lang sya nagtake nun.. nawala agad.. i laso took [textspeak!] mga sobra niyang capsules.. hehe nawala dn mga pimples ko pati less oiliness... sabi kasi ng cousin ko ang even my aunt, na huwag na daw ako pumunta dun sa derma.. kasi sobra mahal.. at my ibibigay pa siyang maraming regimen for face like toner, soap, cream etc.. which my cousin didnt use naman.. acnotin lang talaga.. and me, after 10 capsules, once a day tinake ko.. nawala mga zits ko.. kaso naubusan ako at hindi pa totally healed yung face ko.. like, di pa siya ngsmooth talaga.. im planning to buy again acnotin, pero i don't know where.. effective kasi sila sa akin.. at walang side effect na lumitaw.. so i wanna continue them..

hello i'd like to join this thread because I am a user of roaccutane i've finish my 1st month of it and i can say ang laki ng improvement ng skin ko at maganda ang result well di naman ako talaga ma pimple na tao nagkaron lang ako ng breakout tapos di nawawala naiinis na ako so i went to my derma tapos ayaw pa nga ako bigyan ng prescription nung una kasi diko daw need kasi for severe daw talaga pero since super reklamo ako ayun binigay na din niya hehe i'll be taking it for 6 months ngayon pa lang maganda na effect di na ako nagkaka pimples and my pores are tighter yun nga lang uber drying ang effect esp. sa lips nagccrack talaga ng bonggang bongga hehe

How much Acnotin? I'm on acnetrex, same price din ba?

Also, is it ok to take amoxicillin while on acnetrex? Required kasi if I undergo impacted tooth surgery but
I'm worried baka bawal? How about mag pa Cervical Cancer Vaccine?

ako, Ive downsized my dose to a single tab every 3 or 4 days to reduce its drying effects. I was initially recommended to take it once daily but the adverse effects became too intolerable for me that I opted to take it under minimal dose. When I told the derma about it, she changed the dose to 1 softgel every 2days but I still had trouble tolerating the dryness and the mood-altering effect thus I took it a lot less frequent. So far, ok naman and I noticed that the current brand (Acnetrex) that Im taking seems less potent than the one given by the derma, which is Acutrex. They have the same dosage btw at 10mg.
