Hi! I am planning to transfer  my son to Statesfield next year. He is Nursery in Harrell Horne Integrated School ngayon, and I am so dissatisfied with the grading system. He got 100% in monthly exam in Math, 100% in his Periodical test, then 80% ang grade sa card. Hindi ko alam kung anong klaseng grading system meron sila. Kahit gawin pa nilang 70% ang behavior or EQ ng bata, hindi magdadrop sa 80% yon.
Iniisip ko, paano kung lilipat ng school yung anak ko, aakalain ng iba below average lang siya. Eh pinapa-assess nga siya ng pedia kasi sobrang advance niya baka raw gifted child. So weird talaga.
Kung pwede lang itransfer ngayon na, ginawa ko na.

hi sis mommyme, i just also saw my nephew's card last weekend, and the teachers were offering to discuss how they compute the grades, yun lang naubusan ako ng time (which reminds me, kailangan ko nga bumalik pala). maybe you can ask them to explain to you each and every aspect of the grade, kung ano ano yung component nung 80%, as in i-compute sa harap mo until you reach the 80%. minsan kase subjective talaga, like art, kahit naman ako, until now, hindi talaga ako pabor sa pagbibigay ng grade sa art (e sa gusto nya kulay ng dahon is mix ng green and brown, bakit 85% lang yun? ano criteria? - mga ganitong bagay, hehe!)

i don't think this is asking for too much from them, dapat open ang mga ganung aspeto, lalo na't may possibility na gifted child yung bata. also, i think this will also make your decision objective, at least sa paglilipatan na school you can explain to them na kaya ganito yung grade nung bata is because _fill in the reason here_.

if you do talk to them, update mo kami sis ha. gusto ko din malaman pano nangyari yung 80%.

Hi sis ellipsis, nakausap na ng mommy ko yung teacher. One of the factors was hindi raw nagpaparticipate sa class yung son ko. Paano naman kasi magpaparticipate eh he's bored kasi he already knew those things since 1 1/2 years old pa lang siya. He is advanced na alam na niya ang days of the week, colors of the rainbow, he can spell his name, he can spell 3 letter words (dog, cat, pig), he can read color names. Kaya ko nga pinasok sa HHIS kasi akala ko progressive, pero parang hindi naman. Dapat inaalam nila kung bakit ayaw magparticipate ng bata.
Kaya ko siya pinag-aral at 3.5 years old kasi gusto ko mahasa yung social skills at the same time baka may maituro sila na hindi pa alam ng anak ko.
Another thing, sabi kasi raw sa exam ang mga kids daw hindi pa independent, inaalalayan pa ng teacher. Well, what do they expect from 2-4 years old? Na makakabasa na ng instruction yung mga bata? Dumaan din naman ako sa nursery, talaga namang during exam si teacher pa ang nagbabasa at nag-iinstruct. Ano ba ang mahalaga sa kanila, yung pag-iinstruct ng teacher sa exam o yung natutunan ng bata na makikita sa result ng exam? Weird lang. Siyempre kapag nakakuha ng mataas ang bata ibig sabihin may natutunan. Eh parang nakatingin sila sa kaya nakakuha ng mataas na score ang bata kasi inisa-isa pa basahin ni teacher yung instruction sa test paper.
Sis ellipsis, nandon ka ba nung Buwan ng Wika presentation? I watched all the presentations of Nursery students, iniwan sila sa ere ng teachers  nila. There were times na humihinto yung kids sa pagsasayaw kasi hindi na nila alam what's next. What do you expect from those kids? Na memorize na nila yung dance steps? During practice nakaharap si teacher na pinaggagayahan nila ng dance steps tapos pagdating sa stage sila na lang. I don't like the way of them teaching the kids to be independent. There is just something wrong. Kaya sigurado ako I will transfer my child sa ibang school, kung pwede nga lang ngayon na eh.

meron bang progressive school within Bacoor area particularly yung Aguinaldo Hi-way banda. gusto ko ng ilipat yung anak ko next year. i'm so frustrated how they handled the bullying issue na nireport ko today. haiz

need info on schools near fairwayview subdivivision for NKP and grades 2 and 4 is vel maris a good and budget school?

^cavite school of life in salawag, st. jude and westhill international school are near that subdivision.

@veilside, my kid is currently in vel maris. satisfied kami sa education ng anak namin. mas mahal compared sa mga schools na mas malapit sa amin (we're near dasma bayan), pero ok naman sa amin.

Kumusta yung turo, sis? I've been to the college building thrice. Ang ganda ng facilities talaga dun. Wala lang akong feedback sa basic education nila.

yung isang niece ko likes it there...yung isa naman graduate na ng HS and is in UP, although matalino naman talaga sya

Hello Mommies, ask sana ako ng feedback on St. Francis in Springville Sub., Molino. Papasok na next year ang 3 yo ko.  How much ang tuition nila? Hindi kami Catholic, I don't know if that is going to be a problem.

^ My two daughters are studying at SEIS sis. And happy that we are just 8-10mins away from school. So far satisfied naman kami ni hubby sa method of teaching nila. Our daughters are enjoying school. Singapore math sila. Dami rin clubs for kids to choose from. Laging updated ang parents on what's happening at school. They also discuss their method of teaching. They dont rely on one book lang, lessons are based on modules  with reference from different books kaya they did not require parents to buy books nung enrolment. Good this is walang siningil na payment for the modules or activity sheets. Naka AC ang mga rooms, well secured ang mga kids. For Grade 1 and lower bawal lumabas sa room unless anjan ang guardian. For my G2 naman, pwede lumabas ng room after dismissal pero not outside the gate. Spacious ang waiting area for parents. Maraming school service na naka tie up sa kanila. Malaki ang gym. Maraming guards. Di expensive ang tuition fee. Forgot the exact cost pero parang nasa 25-32k ata.. Implemented and K12 pero until Grade 9 pa lang sila this school year. Ni-type ko na lang kung ano pumasok sa isip ko sis ha, hope this helps. If you have a specific question, let me know.

My son is a senior kinder at Statefields School.  So far satisfied ako sa progress ng anak ko. Palagi siyang excited pumasok. Worth 'yong tuition fee na binayad ko.

^^ not sure for nursery sis ha pero for g1 and 2, 30 students per class sila.

sabi ng g1 ko, they are 29 in class. si g2 ko naman sabi niya 26 daw sila.
