Schools in Cavite

Classes in IBA started last Monday. Happy naman daughter namin sa toddler class niya. She looks forward to going to school and seems to enjoy every minute of it. Sabi niya they play daw with toys and musical instruments, they sing songs and color some pages. So far, yun pa lang activities nila. I asked my daughter if her teachers are nice and she said yes. Nakasmile naman siya pag umuuwi and excited pumasok. She doesn't have to be convinced or forced to wake up early in the morning. After toddler, nursery, reception then Year 1 (Grade 1). At first we thought Nursery na siya pero nag-iba yung levels dahil sa K12. Medyo pricey yung school service sa IBA if sa place namin hahatid at susunduin (2,800-3,000 per person). We have to pay for the companion pa. Buti we found a tricycle service sa kabilang village and okay naman kausap yung owner. A bit pricey pa rin para sa tricycle at biyahe na 10-15 minutes lang pero less hassle for me and my husband kasi we both work. Wala talagang maghahatid-sundo so nakipagbargain na lang kami. Hopefully, everything turns out well for our child in IBA. Ito kasi talaga school na gusto namin for her dati pa. Narealize ko rin mahirap pala if sobrang layo ng school from the house. Ito ngang malapit lang, issue ang school service, yaya etc. what more yung more than 30 minutes to an hour ang travel time.

Hello mga sis.. Pa update sana ako.. We are living in Molino near SM.
I have read na previous reviews about Divine Light at Horne and Harell. Magkano ang nursery nila dun?
ngayon.. and Does Horne and Harell implement progressive teaching na? Next yr kasi lilipat ko na
si panganay ko.. naka Day care kasi sya now.. How about Creative Education for LIFE Learning, INC.
any update? Tuition, quality of education?

^ang DLA sis okay sa academics but it is a traditional school. i can swear by it kasi my SILs and nephews studied/study there. harell horne okay lang but it is more of basic. i can say mas advance sa academics. however, harell horne is semi-non-traditional. one of my nephew used to study there. may isang school pa dun na medyo non-traditional, yung statefields. they say they implement multiple intelligence.

hello mga sis, aside from casa real, would you know of any school that follows authentic montessori teachin in imus? meron kasi ako mga nakikita, na montesorri ang name, pero baka name lang...

sis mistiqshannen: hi sis! my daughter is in nursery now at Divine Light Academy in Molino. About 31k ang fee including books. And yes, traditional talaga ang method of teaching - and the standards are high (which is a good thing, and well, a not-so-good thing in some points). For example, if sa test nila, two mistakes pa lang, line of 8 na. They follow ata yung 75% proficiency rate chuchu. So the upside, your child will strive to always do well. The downside, major strive talaga. hehe. But hindi naman super hardcore aral pag sa preschool, kasi yung anak ko naman super excited pumasok sa school pa din everyday. They sing, dance, and play din naman, lagi nga syang may baong kanta pag-uwi.

Harrel Horne makes use of the Reggio Emilia approach, parang combi traditional and progressive ang dating sa akin when I read about it eh. Tuition fee is about 25-30K.

@KVsWahmmy, sis would you know saan banda ang Horne and Harell? Im planning kasi dun muna sya
sa school na hindi masyado academics.. Im planning to transfer him pag grade 1 na sa statefields
mahal lang kasi dun kaya looking for cheaper muna.. ok na din pala 25-30k.. pasok sa banga..

jvaraneta- you're welcome po. your child will be placed in toddler class if papasok siya next year sa IBA. the interview was easy kasi preschool so it was just the usual chitchat. ang parents ang kakausapin about the curriculum, child's preparedness for school etc. if your child will start her schooling in IBA, you won't pay the development fund of 10k. the teacher advised us to enroll our daughter in playschool last summer so she'll get used to the routine but we didn't. good thing that our daughter adjusted really well and we were able to toilet train her over the summer. you can find the school fees here: http://iba.edu.ph/admission/school-fees

one disadvantage lang about the school year starting in august is the typhoon season. may saturday classes due to the suspension for other levels but the toddlers are excluded kasi the teachers think that they'll be stressed if 6 days a week ang pasok. other than that, we're pretty satisfied. the teachers communicate well with us regarding class suspensions, our child's progress and other requirements.

I read the thread for almost 1 hour and medyo napaisip tuloy ako sa Seton. Dito ko sana gusto ilipat yung son ko from St. Paul Makati (turning grade 4 next year).

Any idea or feedback for this school mga sis? Yung open classroom  environment ba nila eh effective, hindi ba nkakawala ng focus sa students? How about their study habits, homework, projects, etc.?

Any other suggestions na magandang school near Camella Bucanda Imus? TIA

^she's doing okay naman, sis. so far, no negative feedback sa IBA based sa experience ng daughter namin. she enjoys going to school and learns a lot. til may pa classes nila. sa friday bibigay yung report cards nila.

Hello sissies! anyone here who has a child currently studying of have gone to St. Paul Island Park Dasma? Any feedback pls? My daughter is currently enrolled in Seton as Kinder. I am planning to transfer her to another school next school year as I am not that comfortable much with Seton's open classroom policy in grade school and high school. TIA.

My daughter will be a Cavitena in 1 1/2 years and am scouting for a possible school she could go to when she starts school at 4. We would be residing in Molino 4, Bacoor. And upon reading this thread, we may consider Harnell and Horne, Divine Light Academy, and IBA. Like ko sana ang IBA, pero medyo pricey for a pre-school but cheap for an international school. And medyo malayo pa rin sa magigiging house namin, so for her preschool we are leaning more into Harnell and Horne. We have to see yet yung school facilities and teacher student ratio.
