crib din ako... buti na lang pumayag ako na hindi yung graco na tig- 10k ang bilhin. my husband and i wanted the expensive one kasi my kasamang parang rocker din eh... basta parang ganun. lahat ng mga pinsan ko sinabi wag na daw at sayang. we bought enfant instead for about 4k something, still sayang pa din coz she used it to for less than 6months.

The baby just needs to be comfortable, couldn't care less whether he or she is wearing branded/designer clothes.

Silver flatware.   The plastic crooked ones are the best for training.

pacifier, some teethers, and some clothes from abroad but not suited for our weather. mga gifts na booties (socks is better), and mittens.

since i have a son already, i opted not to buy my baby girl all the stuff around the baby section.  i just buy when i observed that she needs it and would use it well

Any advise if its sulit to buy Combi's rocker/high chair?

^ I suggest you test it on the baby first before buying such.  My sons never used a rocker and a high chair.

my father in law was able to buy a combi rocker sa ukay-ukay/japan surplus..minus the tray and the straps..for ..i think less than P2000.
we were able to use it (as rocker) nung newborn up to 5 months yata...nung naging malikot na si gianna we retired it na kasi nag-s-slide na sya pababa sa rocker.
we didnt have the tray for that kaya we were not able to use it as a high chair.
pero as a rocker sulit sya.. kasi dun namin pinapatulog si gianna.. na-ro-rock na sya.
i mean sulit sya since my father in law was able to buy it cheap & second hand ..kesa sa hobbes and landes na ang mahal..
heaven sent  yung rocker sa amin kasi nakakatulog si gianna sa rocker kesa karga mo at hele..

@marose17 - seems like there's no time to try it 1st on baby since hindi naman puedeng ilabas agad sa public place si baby after birth diba?

@liyapot - were you able to get the one with stand? i 1st saw it in Hobbes & Landes natuwa ako ang techy techy kasi haha! then saw it again sa Rustan's , I wanted to buy it na (sobrang maarte ako hehe) ayaw ko kasi sanayin na kinakarga si baby so i plan to put her on the rocker during day time & sa crib naman for night time..

Any advise if its sulit to buy Combi's rocker/high chair? 

we had Fisherprice newborn to toddler rocker that was sulit for 3 months.. the high chair was sulit for 5 months..

i would suggest borrowing or buying pre-loved rocker/high chair para hindi sayang.. although you can also buy brand new if you're planning to have a second baby

@yapeegurl  - yes, we're planning to have a 2nd baby, mas prefer namin brand new ayaw kasi namin ng nanghihiram saka don't know rin kung pano ginamit ng dating user baka may mag loosen na kung [textspeak!]-ano ma disgrasya pa si baby.

pag new mommy ka, you would like to buy everything new kasi ang reasons kasi--kaya naman bilhin at baka pede pang gamitin sa susunod na anak.

trust me hindi mo rin magagamit yun sa next baby mo. unless balak mo na manganak ulit 6 or 8 months after mo manganak sa panganay mo. nakakapagod kaya magbuntis di ba? kasi kung may spacing na 2 or 3 years, yung mga gamit na useless matatambak lang yan sa cabinet or corner ng bahay. kasi by that time, mas marami ng mas magaganda gamit na lalabas at matetempt ka bumili ng bago kesa gamitin ang luma.

like sa mga damit ng bata, hindi sulit yung mahal at branded. mas mabilis sila lumaki at sandali lang magagamit. nakatambak lang sa cabinet. sa una ka lang manghihinayang kaya itatago mo pero eventually ipapamimigay mo din

walker at stroller, hindi din sulit kasi pagnanamasyal (unless may car kayo) ang hirap ibiyahe dahil mabigat! dahil magaan pa naman si baby mas convenient kargahin nalang or magsalitan kayo ng dala ni yaya or hubby.

sa crib, bumili ako ng kahoy at mumurahin lang. siguro 1,000 pesos kasama na ang beddings. sayang kasi ang pera. may friend ako ayaw magpaawat bumili ng branded na crib worth 8000 or 9000 kesyo matibay, convertible, tapos madami pede paggamitan. ayun bumili nga! after 8 months of using pinamigay na sa iba kasi daw--mainit, malaki at mas maganda itabi si baby.. ayun sayang lang ang pera!

cute at maganda sila tignan sa tindahan pero once ginamit mo na, mapapisip ka sana hindi mo nalang binili yun. usually yang mga ganyang baby stuff na useless, mabenta yan sa mga first time moms. kasi nga excited at lahat bago. pero kapag tumatagal practical ka narin, maiisip mo nga nasa nung binyag sana diapers na madami at gatas na madami nalang ang iniregalo sayo para atleast menus na yun sa araw araw na gastos.

madalas kasi sa hindi, kamag anak or kaibigan nalang ang nakikinabang sa mga gamit.

@anneG, my babies preferred to be carried and I am also a believer in attachment parenting, especially the benefits of skin-to-skin contact (my babies were preemies and s-t-s was essential).   I breastfed too so most of the time, nakakatulog ang baby in my arms or pinapasa ko sa daddy nila (twins sila kasi) kaya no need for a rocker.  That's why for me hindi sulit ang rocker.   

I have to clarify though, the testing bit is more for the high chair.  I know that there are babies who refuse to sit on one, like my sons.

yup..it's the same thing.. kasi my bro was impressed by it and wanted one for his baby boy..kaya naghanap ako..kaso when bought new ang mahal .. if i remember it right nasa 10k un di ba? . super techy nga eh..was also impressed when father in law bought it though medyo takot ako kasi sa japan surplus lang binili! hahahahaha!!! tapos kulay baby blue pa yung cover/mattress pad.

the combi rocker we are talking about is not the same as yung FP na rocker...kasi mataas sya you dont have to put it on the bed para kalevel mo si baby.. hip level sya from the floor kasi may stand. pag totally naka recline para syang mini bed for the baby.. parang duyan but on a different level. tech wise hehe.. how can i describe it for those na di pa nakikita... para syang highchair.. mataas... tapos imagine yung seat mismo can be fully reclined like your stroller... tapos may knob sa gilid na pwede mo i-release para pwedeng mag-rock yung higaan. ganun sya.. super galing talaga

i'm also into attachment parenting pero nung newborn kasi si gianna she wanted yung masikip..hinde naman pwedeng lagi mo syang karga di ba?..she never liked her crib and would easily wake up pag nilagay mo dun..pero pag sa rocker mo sya nilagay after mo sya ihele or pag milk..makakatulog sya agad..

now that gianna is 7 months..the rocker is in the other room gathering dust na hehe..

for me if you have money to spare (and i understand you since this is your first baby i presume right?) go ka na sa combi mo.. kasi 2 in 1 naman sya eh you can use it as a high chair na.

I received my combi as a gift but sulit siya sa kin.

Nung di pa nakakaupo si baby pinapahiga namin siya don if we are away from bed or her crib. Nung nakakaupo na siya ganun pa rin except nakataas na yung back hindi na full recline.

Kapag napapagod na kami or yung nagbabantay we rock her to sleep there.

Yung sa amin kasi may wheels na natutupi sa ilalim. so pwedeng may wheels pwedeng rocker. We used it also when we take the baby outside for a walk. So maybe she related it to something good (kasi lalabas siya) kaya we have no problem using it as a baby chair (may tray din kasi) specially when hubby and I are eating.

@lovemeagain30 - hindi naman ako napapagod sa pregnancy, we plan to have another 1 late next year (our last one)..I have a sister, na magmamana ng lahat ng gamit so swerte tee hee!!

@marose17 - sis it doesn't mean naman na im not going to carry the baby hehe, ayoko lang sanayin para pare-pareho kaming hindi mahirapan ng yaya niya pag balik ko sa work.

@liyapot - the 10K is the cheaper one pa, na impress ako dun sa 23K yung latest model but when i asked the SA kung anong difference yung side pocket lang pala, may lalagyan ng diapers & other abubot ni baby..kaya ok na rin yung 13K na older model..i find it so useful..pag pinagsawaan na ni baby puedeng puede ko ipamana sa sister ko

@foxy_girlfriend - swerte nyo naman may nag gift puro cash lang alam iregalo sa amin eh haha! will get one next month

pero sayang naman kung yung 23k ang bilhin mo.. kung ang difference lang eh lagayan ng diapers.. not worth the additional 10k..go for the basic..which is really maganda na on its own.

your post reminded me, nung maliit pa si gianna we bring her rocker with us when we stay with my parents.. imagine yung dala namin eh 3 days lang naman kami dun puno lagi kotse.
tsaka what our yaya (that time) did nung younger pa si gianna was at 7 or 8 am while natutulog ako (bawi ng sleep) lalabas sila sa terrace tapos dun muna sila para makasagap ng fresh air ang baby.. i-roll nya lang yung combi rocker palabas ng room..
na-lo-lock din yung wheels nya..kaya parang syang high chair/stroller/mini crib/duyan rolled into one. very nice product

@liyapot -yung 13K na lang kukunin ko actually mukha ngang maraming use yung combi rocker na yan, naaaliw ako hehe..buti na lang suv car namin walang problem sa dami ng abubot ni baby.

yup.. get the 13k na lang the diaper storage ek-ek wont be of much use naman eh.. i doubt na dun mo i-change sa rocker ang baby mo??
we have a prince lionheart na diaper dispenser.. very nice product din.. nakasabit sa aparador ng stuff ni gianna.

nagulat nga ako na ganun kamahal ang combi na yun kasi nga the father in law bought it cheap at a surplus store in cavite.. i actually thought noong una na rocker/bed lang sya yun pala highchair rocker sya.. kaya binutingting ko yung display sa rustans..

^ sis saan sa cavite nabili ng father in law mo? 2 yata yung nakikita kong surplus shop along aguinaldo highway..isa sa imus/bacoor at yung isa dasma na yata..baka may makita din akong matinong high chair dun..

sa may paliparan sya nakabili..kasi dun sila dumadaan from paranaque via daang hari to tagaytay.

try mo dun sa may dasmarinas..yung malaking store na malapit sa waltermart dasma.. mukhang ok mga tinda dun eh..pero di pa ako nakakapunta dun.
