sis, what do you mean may gusto kang design? design ng burda? pwede custom-burda din. ginawa ng brother ko yan for his barong nung wedding niya. ginaya yung burda sa gown ng wife niya.
we always go to charrie alunan sa greenhills for barongs. we find it more convenient kasi than going to divisoria and we get good prices from her naman. pwede siya mag custom burda and pwede din siya mag-dye kung gusto mo ibang kulay ng barong. she specializes in pinya talaga.
you also have to decide on what tela you want. may jusi, pinya-jusi, pinya-silk, pure pinya. sa design naman, may raya, pechera (?), etc.
tapos pag pinya-jusi, may machine-embroidered, hand-embroidered. may pinya-suksok din. imbes na embroidered and design, kasama siya sa pagka-weave pero medyo mahal siya.
at our wedding, my groom wore a pinya-silk barong with raya embroidery, same embroidery design as my pinya gown. the dads wore pinya-silk barongs pechera style na pre-embroidered na. the male entourage wore pinya-jusi na hand-embroidered.
for the male entourage, we only gave them barong tela para pare-pareho tapos sila na nagpatahi. and we just asked them to wear black pants. imo kasi, barong goes better with black pants.
also pala, one thing to consider is the size/built of your male entourage. pre-cut materials have sizes din. kung matangkad/broad-shouldered, you will need to get the large cut so that costs a bit more than the standard cut.
kay charrie sa greenhills, from what i remember, parang 1500-2000 yata pinya-jusi, 4500 yung pinya-suksok, 3500-4000 yung pinya-silk. mas mura pag sa divisoria.
