Hi! It will be our first time to travel with my 3 yr old daughter in march. We will be departing from naia 3. For the reduced travel tax for my daughter, do we need to fill up a form at the travel tax counter? Or automatic na reduced ang travel tax if they see my daughter's passport? Thanks

questions mga sis, i called cebu pacific kanina regading refund (its another story), but anyway, sabi nung kausap ko, pag kuha ko daw ng refund sa ticketing office kailangan ko na daw bayaran yung travel tax namin. Tapos i asked him kung paano yung sa anak ko kasi 3 pa lang sya, reduced na ba yung travel tax nya? ang sabi kailangan ko daw muna kumuha ng form sa TM Kalaw? Totoo ba to? Parang nakakawalang gana naman yun, antipolo pa kami nakatira. I thought automatic na yun. Please enlighten me mga sis. Thanks

Sorry sis kung naguluhan ka. 4 kasi kaming passengers, isa lang yung irerefund ko kasi di na sya makakasama. Payag naman sila irefund yung isa pero since yung tatlo tutuloy babayaran na daw yung travel tax. Sa ticketing office daw ako kailangan magrefund kasi cash ko binayaran yung fare namin.

^Oh now I get it. If you can refund the tickets at NAIA T3 ticket office there is a PH Travel Tax counter where you can get the reduced travel tax (RTT) for your kid. Otherwise sa main office ka in TM Kalaw talaga kukuha ng RTT.

ay ganun ba sis... kasi clark to hongkong ang byahe namin. Siguro try ko na lang daanan yung sa TM Kalaw. Pero dun ko na rin ba babayaran? or kuha na lang muna ako ng form? Then sa ticketing office sa galleria (kung saan ako magrerefund), dun na lang ako magbayad ng sa aming tatlo? Pwede kaya yun?

^sis the form is the RTT certificate. You pay the RTT sa TM Kalaw mismo then they will give the certificate to you na kailangan mo i-present sa ticket office. Pagdating sa ticketing office hindi mo na babayaran yung PH Travel Tax ng kid mo instead yung RTT ang ibibigay mo na sa kanila.

You can also pay for the adults sa TM Kalaw, bale OR with duplicate ang ibibigay sa yo. Yun na rin ibibigay mo sa ticket office.

Yes sis.. pwede yan basta bring your passport or kung kaninong passport man ang magaavail ng RTT. Pag nakuha mo na yung RTT, double check the details like passport number, name, date of issue.. kasi minsan mali-mali and when it happens, ipacorrect mo kaagad sa OIC.

imo nakakinis at nakakahassle talaga mga travel tax charges. sa ibang bansa naman walang ganyan. i travelled to singapore recently and i had to pay pa extra tax cuz i didn't realize na di siya kasama nung pag book ko online anyway didn't know why the lady asked me if I had a house in the U.S.? Yes, I also have a U.S. passport and then sabi ko wala.. so assuming na hindi ako U.S. resident even though I have the passport I still needed to pay the tax? next time if sinabi ko ba na U.S. resident ako will I be exempted from the travel tax? and they don't even accept credit card so I had to go to the money changer pa  hassle naman talaga...

the kids and i would be traveling to Singapore this month end.  OFW dun si hubby, so dapat allowed kami sa Travel Tax Exemption, right?

My questions are:

1.  Do I need to go to their office in Kalaw to apply for the Tax Exemption Cert? or they also entertain that in NAIA Terminal 2?
2.  In the requirements, it's said that I need to present the latest OEC of the OFW.  Pwede ba ang scanned copy lang or photo-copy? Nasa Singapore si hubby, so of course nasa kanya ang huling copy nya ng OEC.  I know, government is weird, but that is just too much.

^Not exemption, reduced travel tax lang.

1. Yes, pwede na sa airport iprocess ang reduced travel tax, bring complete documents.

2. Nung umalis ako last Feb, scanned copy pinakita ko, di ako naka-avail. Try mo na lang, baka depende din sa mood ng nagpprocess. Actually, kahit di latest oec, pwede yung last year pa, basta wala pa one year. Example, ang alis nyo ay 04 Nov. 2013, yung oec nya nung 05 November 2012 onwards pwede nyo pa gamitin.

If ever di kayo maka-avail ng reduced travel tax, pwede nyo naman irefund yun sa Kalaw pagbalik nyo, one year yata pwede magrefund. So keep your receipts and bring complete documents. HTH

mahaba kaya ang pila sa Kalaw? I'm thinking of swinging there for an hour or 2 before 5pm on the day of our flight

8PM pa naman kasi ang flight namin.  but if i can get the same at NAIA T2 then I won't bother.  Noong mga nakaraang alis ko, I didn't bother to get those exemption since ako lang naman ang napunta sa SG, pero 3 kami ngayon.  Mabigat pa rin kahit 810 lang sa mga bata
