Help! I bought our ticket thru a call center and my baby (18mos) by the time of travel was also charged for travel tax..how can i get a refund?

^For travel tax refunds, you will have to go to the main office of DOT in Kalaw. Bring your baby's original passport with photocopy plus a print-out of the e-ticket where the PH travel tax payment is reflected.

hi mga siz! good thing I saw this thread .. need to ask if travel tax is only applicable for ph residents so mga foreigners isn't entitled tama ba? how about filipinos but now holding a US citizenship not applicable na ba? please enlighten. TIA!

i first planned to go to DOT to get RTTC for my 4 year old son pero sabi nung friend ko automatic na daw yun sa airport (dahil yung son niya discounted kahit walang certificate from DOT). We're leaving via DMIA, automatic na ba yung processing sa travel tax counter dun?

Yun kasing madi-discount ko na P600 after discount and processing fee same lang ng pamasahe and meals papuntang DOT kasi layo from my place

^yes, you can process the RTT upon departure. Just present the passport.

^You're welcome. I used to get my kids' TECs and RTTS at their MNL office, too. But with the hassle of travelling all the way there, transpo fees, time, energy, it wasn't really worth it. Matetempt pa to eat out. Half fee nga the certificates pero may P200 charge pa each. Good thing my hubby can enter the terminal even without flights, kaya from then on, I let him get the RTTs sa T2 before I have our tickets issued. Less gastos pa.

Sorry but rtt stands for? Pwede ko na rin dun kunin [textspeak!] refund? Or pag walang certificate lang un?

^rtt is reduced travel tax as far as i have read pag refunds sa DOT (Kalaw, Manila) and kung getting the discount pwede na sa terminal tax counter di ko pa na-try kasi first time ng son ko to fly out. im really hoping we get my son's discount sa DMIA sayang din eh hehe ill see in a month's time

Travel tax refunds are only done at the main office in Manila.

I know for foreigners if less than 1 year ang stay nila, they just have to present their latest arrival sa ticketing office para ma-exempt sa travel tax. Those Filipinos with PR Cards naman can get a TEC basta less than a year stay din dito sa Pinas. Present nila passport and PR Card.

I have question,

pwede ko pa kaya marefund yung travel tax discount ko from last year? di kasi ako naka avail ng discount kasi wala ako original copy ng OEC ng hubby ko.

I have a question mga sis,

For OFWs mawewaive bah ang travel tax pag pumunta sa ibang bansa pero not on the country where they work?

plan kasi namin ni hubby punta sa Bali from Pinas. Pero sa ibang bansa ko nagwowork. babalik pa din kami ng Pinas after vacation sa Bali, then a few days after back to work na ko. waived kaya yung travel tax ko sa Bali or dun lang sa bansa na pinagworkan ko?

^i always do that. So instead of 1620 ang travel tax mo, nasa 500 na lang yata. Bale yung used oec dapat atleast valid sya ng one year, so kung nov.2012 yung used oec na ippresent mo, iho-honor nila yun if you travel till nov.2013
