hi mga sis, just to update, we started the renovation end of Nov. we opted arawan compared to pakyawan. We tried pakyawan when we had our 4th floor bathroom built, it was a mess (maybe bec. we didn't really check the works and what not, plus the materials, parang whirlwind lahat. So now, Arawan na lang, we have 3 skilled, (1 foreman --as in alam niya halos lahat, 2 skilled) = 500 each, then laborer na 2 (250 each) minsan 1 lang, depende sa dami ng ipapagawa.
Yung house namin, built na, we just had the 1st and 2nd floor renovated. now nasa 1st floor na sila, matagal kung titignan mo kasi ilang months na, now kasi may pagka OC na talaga kami, every detail dapat maayos. ayaw namin yung bara bara work lang. so pulido sila, and kasi kokonti lang din sila kaya understandable din yung tagal, plus andami din talaga ginawa sa 2nd floor namin, like parang buong floor, tinibag mga walls, nag re-walling, buhos, extend and so on. so far medyo malaki laki na din nagagastos namin, labor and materials. lalo na sa materials, mga fixtures, kaloka na sa mahal, lalo na mga kilalang brand.
TIP:
** mas mura sa local hardwares like sa mga kanto kanto compared to Wilcon (in terms of plywood, kahoy, cement, and others) downside lang kasi minsan sa hardware, cash lang talaga so if you want to use CC, sa wilcon or other HW Depot stores bibili
** comparing the price of the items we bough from Wilcon and CW Home Depot, mas mura sa home depot.
** tiles -- we have this certail design ng 60x60 tiles that we sa from Tile Center, 198 each. sa Wilcon 205 each, sa Home Depot 195 lang. Carpet vinyl tile (yung parang sa office) 255 sa Wilcon , 195 sa Home depot.
