Ask ko lang po kung may idea kayo how much mag pa poste mga 8 yun tyaka mag babaon ng hallow blocks paikot? natatakot kasi ako baka ma-overprice ako ng contractor. Yung poso negro ko kasi + lot clearing e 35k na ang labor. Balak ko lang kasi talaga unti-untiin ang pagpapagawa kasi tight ang budget namin, TIA po.

Sis, medyo mahal talaga singil sayo ng contractor mo, kasi ang technique nung nagpagawa ako regardless sa hirap ng gagawin nila, I give them my expectation kung kelan nila matatapos like in my case entire home improvement ko natapos ng less than 4weeks, they are total of 3 na workers pero ang dalawang workers sulputan lang dumating since super expert and mabilis gumawa ang carpentero ko so kaya magisa basta may complete lang na materials, may nagbabantay naman kasi sa kanya kaya walang daya.

sa mga mag-start pa lang at nasa drawing stage pa lang, make sure na naka-plot din and mga furniture nyon, na will reflect your lifestyle. may mga lay-out kasi na di na mabuksan ang cabinet dahil naharangan na ng bed or something like that.

when i started drawing my plans, andun na yung mga furniture and cabinets. sabi nung archi, maski wag daw muna yun, kasi daw magulo sa planning ng poste, etc. But i insist, so ayun, nagawan nya naman ng paraan para di tamaan ang mga bagay na araw araw ko gagamitin.

ang hirap kasi na biglang may susulpot na poste o dingding dun sa suppose to be paglalagyan mo ng furniture. pwede naman nila yun gawan ng paraan or hanapan ng acceptable na pwesto.

planning for our house renovation. well, 1st and 2nd floor lang naman. since from 4th floor. dun na kami sa 1st and 2nd titira, naeexcite na ako. more on placing ng stairs, and room division plus kitchen. andami ko napupulot na tips dito.

searching for good materials and looking for design pa lang ako. mas maliit naman magagastos if ganun na lang ipapagawa diba since may wall, posts and everything na. balak ko din pala ipare-wire yung 1st and 2nd. kasi yung 3rd and 4th e separate na siya ng meralco. so need ko ng electrician at ng guide pa ba ng meralco dun?

^parang ganyan din mangyayati samin pero next month pa magstart. Plan ko paremove lahat ng partitions and layout so baka maiba pwesto pati toilets. And rewire din kase papalitan din ang ceilings.

hi sis, sang area galing ang mga trabahador mo?

interested akong makita ang breakdown mo.. ako kasi nag-aasikaso ng pagpapatayo ng house ng parents ko.. mejo stressful na di pako nakakasimula.. hehe! very inspiring ang post mo.. hope to learn a lot of tips from you!

Precast can be used instead of buhos. Mas matipid.

^question po diba mas matibay pa rin ang buhos over ready made (precast)?

Matibay pareho. Kung 1 storey lang ang building, OK ang buhos pero kung several storeys, precast ang mas recommended kasi masyadong mabigat ang buhos.

any suggestions/tips on re-wiring, part of renovation sa house, we will retain some of the outlets, light and switches, but will add some as well.

for the existing wires on outlets, need ba baguhin? to give you history too, 4 floors yung house, 3rd floor was already separated but i'm not convinced on the process that they did because it seems that there are still some wires connected to us. so gusto ko sana retain yung sa 1st and 2nd floor wires lang, or renew the wires.. any inputs? aside sa electrician (skilled) or electrical engineer. do we have to contact meralco for this?

^i don't think you need to contact meralco assuming na you won't tap or make new connections to the post. I suggest use circuit breakers. ideally separate circuit breaker ang aircon and water heaters individually.  for your wiring why not carve out an electrical path on the walls then cover it with a moulding for easier check-up and maintenance? i suggest taasan nyo yung outlets para di abot ng baby at kung bahain yung area. for the materials i defer to the masters.

^ thanks thanks. same post naman. natanong ko lang baka kasi mamaya need pala sila inform or something.  hindi naman bahain sa place namin. most of the outlets would be covered with appliances or something so hindi naman abot ng bata.

isa din yun sa options ko, yung make new pathways na lang. instead or tracing the old wires.
yun ang mali sa wirings sa house, hiwalay sa circuit breaker (main) ang ilaw and outlets but not per floor. kaya yun.

how do you find a house that has no back door?

Nabaha kasi kami hanggang leeg sa loob ng bahay nung aug, kaya naisip namin na magpasecond floor na instead of palit bubong lang. kaya kaya ng 500K pag ganun?
1. 90sqm lang area namin, concern ko pa na baka di kayanin ng bahay yung second floor kasi luma na at im sure hindi high quality ang materials na ginamit doon originally.
2. ang process, consult archi, padrawing etc., then kuha ng bldg permit and then contractor plus workers. ilan kayang workers ang kelangan and gano kaya katagal ang process? palagay ko kelangan ng plumber, and electrician dahil me cr sana sa itaas. gusto ko sana sa 2nd floor e nakagitna yung magiging bedroom namin then me space sa harap parang terrace. tapos yung back part e bubong, over our kitichen.
kung me limpak limpak na salapi lang ako ipapateardown ko buong house and pagawa new house e parang mas madali. kaso wala e kaya step by step renovation ang plan. hay. ang haba ng kwento ko sorry.

ah. kung ganun di pala feasible ang plan namin. di namin kasi afford yung pagiba at patayo ng bago. kayo ba how much inabot?

We had our extension last 2011, and now planning to put up 2nd floor and another extension sa house namin late 2014. Hopefully we can collect our funds para sa construction.
