^ Sis, Dr. Canlas is not a pedia derma, ha. He's an Allergologist. That's a different subspecialty from dermatology. 
Another good pedia derma is Dr. Cindy Jao Tan of Manila Doctors Hospital.

hi po.. yep i saw nga when i serach his sched allergologist sya. Pero we called him na sabi nya he will see my baby nadin ok lang he accepts maxicare card holders papatingin nadin namin baka kasi its allergy na. ang tagal na kasi. Sabi ng iba derma (pedia) na napuntahan its heat rash. Pero di nawawala after we do mga possible pangpagaling and bought those meds na prescribe ganun padin. Lalo pa dumami. Meron din sya parang kagat ng lamok sa braso na red nawawala bumabalik and the pedia na pinuntahan namin cant say if ano yun pero sure sya yun nasa likod at ulo na heat rash..

Kawawa kasi minsan pag kumakati iiyak talaga..

^ The mosquito bite like rash is definitely not due to heat rash. If it is happening on and off and bothers your baby, then definitely an Allergy consult is needed.

Share ko lang how excited I am about our pedia's collaboration with other pedia specialists, they are establishing a pediatric complex in front of PGH... I am sure there are some already existing but this one is probably the biggest that is not hospital-based... and they're most probably all UP-PGH docs  

Dr. Mantaring has also instituted pala the Essential Newborn Care protocol at Asian... the practicel isn't news for breastfeeding advocates pero I am super, super happy talaga na ginawa na syang protocol, kasi some have to like really ask and demand for it pa, at least now, the breast crawl will become more common

Kasi malapit na ako mag give birth and I'm planning sana na sya yung gawing pedia ko since breastfeeding advocate sya. alenski...hehe... my pedia is also connected with Madocs... sya ang ka-share ni Dra. Silvestre before ng clinic but Dr. Silvestre is on indefinite leave pa din nga talaga (still recovering, I think)

Dr. Mantaring holds clinic at CNR Bldg. II now... I dunno lang their landline there kasi nga they will be transferring to another clinic din But you can e-mail him at jojo @mantaring. org  and siguro ask where you can contact him, and if you can request nga for him to be your baby's pedia (scheduled CS ka naman ata...so kung wala syang lectures, am sure he can accommodate you)

he's one of the top neonatologists in the country... i wouldn't say breastfeeding advocate sya in the way that dr. silvestre is, but he is breastfeeding-friendly enough

^ Dr. Silvestre's associate pedia at Madocs (every Friday afternoon) and St. Luke's QC (every Monday afternoon) is Dr. Resti Bautista.  He is also knowledgeable about breastfeeding and has worked with Dr. S on her breastfeeding campaigns and projects.    He took over most of Dr. S's patients while she is on leave.  Young as he is, I have full faith and confidence in him.  My sons really like him!  When he gives them shots, they do not cry.

Hi! Can someone please recommend a good pedia-pulmo in quezon city? my 10-month old baby kasi has recurring cough and colds. Sa pedia nya dito sa bulacan, nabigyan na sya ng antibiotics and cough medicines pero di mawala ubo nya. we decided to bring him to ust. the pedia said it could possibly be asthma. so she gave him asthma meds, antibiotics, cough medicine and steroids.. i am a bit worried about the meds kasi sobra na yata antibiotics ng baby ko at parang ang laki ng dosage (compared dun sa nakalagay sa box ng meds) na binigay for him e less than 1 year old sya. i would like to get a second opinion sana and preferably yung conservative sa pagrereseta ng gamot if pwede naman daanin sa natural way. pakipost din kung saan ang clinic, clinic hours and contact details. pti po magkano pf. thanks in advance!

Hi! Can anyone recommend a pedia specializing in allergies or asthma in Pasig area or maybe in Medical City or Cardinal Santos? I suspect my 20 month old got my allergic rhinities and she's had red itchy areas on her skin that she's scratching nonstop. At first I was thinking it's because of the heat but now baka skin asthma. I don't know but I want to get her checked. Thanks!
