Hi moms!

Can anybody recommend a good pulmo-pedia who holds clinic during Saturdays (or Sunday), preferably QC-based. Please post na rin the contact details.

I recommend Dr. Cristan cabanilla of World City and Phil. Children's Medical center. He is really a good pulmo pedia doctor. Siya lang nakadetect na may asthma ang mga anak ko. My eldest was already 9 years old and my youngest was 5 na magpacheck up kami sa kanya kaya don ko lang nalaman.

There was a time na nagkaroon ng fever at cough yung bunso ko then pinacheck ko lang sa malapit na pedia sa amin. ang sabi may viral infection daw at ma plema kaya binigyan siya ng antibiotic. kaso parang di ako satisfied kaya kahit medyo malayo si doc cabanilla sa akin. Pinacheck up ko ulit. Naku asthma lang pala. nebulizer lang kailangan pinatiggil niya agad yung antibiotic. kaya nga pagmay mga ubo yung mga anak ko pinagtitiyagaan kong dalhin sa kanya at least sigurado ako na tama ang diagnosis. Blockbuster sa dami ng patient.

Actually kahit ano ipacheckup mo sa kanya magaling talaga. like yung friend ko na nagrecommend sa kanya. Nagpacheckup rin siya malapit na pedia kaso ang sabi my tonsilitis daw yung bata. eh hindi rin nasatisfied yung friend ko kaya pinacheckup ulit kay dr. cabanilla. naku ang diagnosis ni doc ay hindi tonsilitis kundi dengue kaya ayun pinaconfine na yung bata agad.

hi sisses! do you know any pedia within qc area who specializes in children's appetite/ underweight children?sobrang hina kasi kumain at magmilk. we tried heraclene na and vco wala paring effect. nagtry na rin kami ibahin eating habit nya pero ganun pa din. and if ever man may gusto sha na food or gutom, kakatiting lang kinakain. thanks!

^ I recommend Dr. Alvina Pauline Santiago.  She is a pediatric ophthalmologist.  A graduate of UP-PGH and US-trained.  She has a clinic at St. Luke's.  Ask the operator to be connected to her clinic na lang.

MCU Hospital Caloocan city O.P. D, pedia room, medyo matagal lang kasi sa pila pero worth waiting naman, as in full force ng pedia andun, mababait sila, e-explain nila ng maliwanag sa momies kung ano situation ni baby, super pasensya makinig sa tanong ng mom's.

200 registration except laboratories.
pero pag emergency hindi sila recommended.. he he kelangan dun kaw sa e.r... tatawagin nalang yng pedia..

sa mga taga-las pinas, highly recommended ko na pedia is .. may clinic sya sa perpetual. third pedia na sya ng baby ko kaya nakikita ko ang pag-stand out ni dra. maya sa ibang naging pedia ng baby ko. yung naunang pedia namin eh makikita mo talaga na doctor-patient ang relationship nila, although syempre being a pedia dapat magiliw ka sa mga bata. pero si dra. maya, iba ang handling nya sa kids, parang "bestfriend" ang dating. she takes time, really, na makipag-"close" sa bata kaya ayun close talaga sila ng daughter ko.  at saka being a first-time mom, lahat ine-explain sayo, lahat ng dapat mong malaman. even nung na-hospitalize yung baby ko eh everyday halos 30 minutes sya sa room namin interacting with my baby & explaining my daughter's condition to me as well. unlike sa ibang doctor na masyadong precious ang time nila, kay dra. maya parang sulit na sulit ang consultation fee na binabayad mo.

Hi, who knows Dr Liza Cruz,pedia-pulmo of St Luke's? Parang masungit kasi when we went there today...

Just saw this...if you're referring to Dr. Liza Asuncion Cruz who also practices at Medical City, she's very good.  She's the pedia of my two kids.  She's the 3rd pedia of my eldest and is the only one he became comfortable with.  I had the same first impression of her pero we easily got over it after our next visit.  She takes the time to explain things and is very easy to contact.  She keeps reminding me to just text her if we have any concerns.  Sobrang happy kami sa kanya.

Sis, si dra. guno pa lang natatry namin, para sakin marunong naman sya kasi ineexplain nya ng husto what to do sa diet ni baby and she answers all our questions. The problem is hindi kami nakabalik sa kanya dahil sobrang hirap kami sa schedule nya sa Medical City. Super layo naman sa amin ng UST Hosp.

The other 2 doctors above hindi ko pa sila napupuntahan. Puro inquiries lang muna ako regarding sa clinic hours nila.

My baby is 12 mo. old pero mejo underweight sya. Her current pedia is so good din naman and has been working hard para sa paggain ng weight ng baby ko but I want to consult din sana a nutritionist/Gastroenterologist para makatulong din naman sa mas mabilis na progress para sa paggain ng weight ng baby ko.

hi sis, ortho pedia ng baby ko is from PGH. Dr, Javier ang chief ortho don.  Magaling si Dr. Javier may mga studies siya sa clubfoot at limb lengthening..

another good doctor from PGH is Dra. Cielo Balse, ok siya at pasensyosa sa mga bata  last time is resident doctor siya sa PGH...
