mga sis, I'd llike to ask yung mga namimili sa ukay-ukay: nakakahanap ba kayo ng pang-ladies na style na mga jeans or pants na kasya sa inyo? o sa mga pang-lalaki kayo nakakahanap? how do you have them altered? thanks in advance..

^ako sis nakakahanap dati, american size halos lahat, medyo mahaba lang so minsan pinapaputulan. pero mostly ang binibili namin is pedal, jogging pants, leggings, skirt, i don't wear jeans kasi naiinitan ako, so di ko sila pinapansin.

ang technique dito is once makahanap ka ng magandang ukay, kaibiganin mo yung storekeepers, kunin mo yung number nila para maupdate ka kung merong new arrivals. kung parati ka naman bumibili at hindi ganun kabarat mabait naman sila hehe

update: namili ako sa ukay sa may novaliches bayan ng dalawang pants -- isang knee-length at isang calf-length.. I totally adore the calf-length one, bright blue sya, pwedeng pang-casual, pwede ring pang-corporate (medyo trendy nga lang tignan, hehe).. gusto ko sanang bilhin yung floral short at black na levi's pero kulang yung dala kong pera kahapon.. anyways, kanina lang dinala ko ang mga pants sa tahian para ma-repair.. so far successful ang unang ukay trip ko, and parang ang sarap bumalik para mamili.. teehee..

hi mga sis im also a plus size, medyo maarte type ako manamit. i get my clothes from forever 21 plus size and sa sm department store plus size section. tapos also online shops sa facebook marami  and then sa ukay also nakabili ako ng M&S na coat tapos mga dress shirt na maganda ang style usually sa cubao area

I wanna do ukay shopping too! I haven't done much of that kasi I have no one to go with kaya tinatamad ako. Haha! But I surely want to! I'm from Manila (near UST)... Do you have a place near that area na marerecommend? I'm plus sized too and I usually buy my clothes from F21, Get Laud and Dorothy Perkins.

I rarely go to ukay-ukay although I'm VERY curious as to what they hold. Kasi diba parang treasure hunting? At least that's how I see it. I've had no luck so far. The two times I've been, wala naman ako nakita na maayos for me pero I managed to buy a dress for my sister.

I've had more luck in finding great pieces in bazaars or tiangges as they sometimes have really nice dresses in US standard sizes.

may new arrivals ang plus size section ng Forever 21. in fairness, I was able to buy a vintage-type polka dot dress with free belt na for Php1200. Not bad.

^No sis. Polkadot na blue fabric, white dots. Tapos lighter blue ang belt. Medyo flared.
