@bluewinkle: we've moved in already. wala nga lang paint. kulang pa sa budget kaya baka kami na lang gumawa. nagDIY kami ng contractor. sakit din sa ulo. yun bang every turn mo mapapailing ka na lang. pero it's fun to fix things around the house.

^haha... secret. basta yung plano na pinagawa namin, pina-bid namin sa mga contractors. the total cost na nagastos namin is half the price of the lowest bidder. we need to fix some more things a bit and also the painting but it would still be cheaper by 30-40% once natapos na lahat lahat. nagprice increase pa ang mga materyales nyan ha.

@tiggerlily - yes, it definitely is fun to fix things so that's what I've decided to concentrate on that instead.  Because everytime I think of Avida, let's just say I'm not going to forgive them anytime soon...

It actually goes with all the ready made houses dito satin. A very good example is Veraville Townhomes by the Aguilar's (Brother on law of Villar). Its one of the mga sina unang nagpauso na ready made houses. I could say they are sub standard or better yet below sub standard. Minamadali nila kasi pagawa ng mga ganyan and they dont go over the quality. to think na huhulugan mo siya every month for ilang years to pay the house and baka bago mo pa mabayaran nauna na nagiba yung bahay. Its a pain in the *** yung mga ganito houses. Just awhile ago nagmajor cleaning kami ng kabila kwarto to prepare for our upcoming baby. and to find out yung tabi ng frame ng door wasnt cemented. they friggin used white cement para mas mura at mas madali and when i tapped it with a hammer the whole thing cracked hanggang baba. so we decided na tanggalin nalang and to find out siniksikan ng mga sako ng cement at dyaryo yung loob non para they could STILL SAVE UP sa WHITE CEMENT!!! the vinyl flooring is bad!! natatanggal and the walls are awful dahil nasisira na talaga. And from my inspection sa staircase railings? THEY USED COCO LUMBER!!!!!! mahinang klase ng wood pagkalog kalog mo pwede na siya matanggal and may anay pa. imagine. having thought of having this renovated mas mahal ang gagastusin mas ok pa na bumili na nga lang ng lote at magpatayo ng bahay. sure ka pa sa mga ilalagay at gagawin sa bahay.

sabi na nga ba eh... i remember receiving a flyer about avida tower somewhere in new manila... i  was thinking ok yung prices nila for an ayala project... i had no idea that the quality is not there pala.

hmm... how do they check if the outlets in the house are ok?  do they just stick a gadget into the outlets to see if the wires are good for the appliances that will be plugged in?

^ It's in the building's electrical plan.  It would state the capacity of each outlet located in the unit so you'll be able to figure out if the appliances you're planning to buy can be plugged in.

@mizteaza - that's terrible! Avida also uses vinyl floor tiles but I asked them not to install them (or the bathroom tiles).  "...pain in the ****" is right and I am now convinced we should have just bought a lot and did the house ourselves.  At the moment, everytime I think about the house, I really feel bad.  Sigh.

We bought a condo in avida. so far ok naman ang unit. ang complain ko lang naman is more than a year na kaming fully paid but until now ang aming certificate of ownership ay nasa registry of deeds pa din and ang sagot nila sa amin whenever we follow it up is hindi na sa kanila nakasalalay ang pag speed up nang process nasa government bureucracy na. Also medyo lenient sila sa security unlike dun sa nakasulat sa manual. according to their rules everyone will have an ID (tenants, homeowners, helpers, etc... ) and not just sign a resident form and this should be worn at all times pero ang sabi sa amin dahil hindi pa sila tapos magconstruct (may ilang towers pa kase na ginagawa) hindi pa sya fully implemented. as of now ang bills pa nga lang is water bill. wala pang assoc and electricity though fully functional na sila. electricity daw will be retro once implemented but the assoc dues hindi naman. i have a tenant right now sa aming unit. hopefully they can implement it before the contract ends dahil kahit na maayos naman ang tenant ko at nagusap kami nang matino (he will pay all the bills during his tenancy once dumating kahit tapos na contract nya) well you never know hindi ba...  and then pansin ko minsan andaming people sa may clubhouse (open kase ang clubhouse may roof lang) though they are mostly students na mukhang classmates and doing their projs ( play, dancing, etc... ) well para naman naging extension nang public place ang aming clubhouse. Ang nasa rules anyone who uses it needs to pay a certain fee (homeowners lang pwede ) and submit a list of who their guests are.
