i tried to travel thru PAL, 3x pa lang -- PPS to MNL and MNL-ICN RT. i like their service better than any other budget airlines. kaya lang sana nagsseat sale din sila. hihi.

I did MNL-HND (Tokyo Haneda)// NRT (Tokyo Narita)-MNL the week of the Quezon and Aquino holidays. Our main and only goal was to visit Sanrio Puroland for my daughter's birthday. PR usually uses the A321 aircraft for these routes. Mabuhay Class was full when my daughters and I checked in so I was downgraded to Premium Economy (1st time!). While we were at the lounge, I was approached by the ground staff that two slots in business class opened up. Unfortunately, I can't be seated away from my children. Once boarded, the three-seater premium economy row we had was directly behind Mabuhay seats so there wasn't any difference at all (except for the meals and iPad use). We had a smooth flight to Haneda and enjoyed Tokyo for a few days.

On our return flight a few days later out of Narita, check in at the Mabuhay Class line took quite some time. We were given lounge passes and were able to use the American Airlines Admiral Club lounge. My daughters enjoyed the view, food and ambiance of the lounge. We were seated at row 2, with my daughters sitting beside each other, and I with no seatmate. Loved the bento box dining and how the meals were pleasing not only to the eyes, but also to my palate. The crew were very warm and attentive. Handed out tons of chocolate to my girls. Sugar rush!

Back in MNL, my kids did the obligatory (and usual) cockpit photo op with the pilots. Looking forward to our next flight.

^magbabayad ka pa rin ng tax and fuel surcharge sis. bale yun base fare lang ang naccover ng miles. yun sa kin noon sa may PAL ticket office sa Faura ako nagpunta para magbayad. kaso di ko rin nagamit ang ticket ko kaya pinarefund ko rin yun binayad ko. dun ko naman nakuha sa PAL office sa may macapagal yun refund.

sis rocky you can just download the form from their website, fill it up then submit to a ticketing office. Yes, you still have to pay taxes and fuel surcharge but mura na yun for a full service airline.

As usual, photo finish na naman ako for the GMG promo. I got a roundtrip business class ticket to Osaka. Excited to finally board the newer a340 aircraft. Ticket issuance at the Ali Mall office was speedy and efficient this time around. Thank God! Normally, laging may errors whenever I transact at that office kaya I usually have my tickets issued na at the data center bldg branch along domestic road.

i wonder why we still can't pay international flight bookings online. i booked through the phone, because their online booking for US sucks. every time i finish entering our personal details, it says that something went wrong and i have to redo my search again.

i was hoping i could pay for our booking online through Manage Booking, but apparently they only accept domestic flight bookings. is that correct?

and now the pal hotline has been busy since last night. grr.

EDIT: you can only retrieve bookings pala in Manage Booking, not pay for your flights. hay.

^good for you. i've been trying to book san fo before, laging error. this is for march 2015 travel.

anyway, i was able to book last week through hotline. i just wanna pay for our flights through the phone now, and busy naman yung hotline.

^i was able to book online successfully naman sis. marami nga lang kelangan na details pag US flight ang bino-book so dapat kumpleto lahat ng details na ieenter mo.

^complete naman our details, passport, visa, US address. i wasn't prompted that i had to complete my details. it just says there was an error and i had to redo my booking. kaya i booked through phone na lang. now naman i can't get through the hotline to pay for our flights.

girls, if you are redeeming your miles, how far from your travel date do you call them? I want to use our miles kasi for our japan trip for holy week. Alam nyo naman yung mabuhay miles may mga blocked dates etc, it is safe to call them now?

It depends sis sa availability but may minimum sila na days para wala kang rush fee.

For our Japan trip last april, I booked mga 3 -4 weeks before our flight.

Anybody tried taking PAL from Abu Dhabi to Manila? How is the plane?

^I haven't taken that route yet but PAL utilizes their A330s for the MNLAUH and vv.
