I flew PR106/23Apr with my kids MNLYVRLAS. Flight was good, uneventful and on time. Mabuhay Class service was ok, too. The cabin crew assigned to my area was very attentive to my needs esp during meal time. Flight was pretty full. Lavatories clean.

My parents flew PR104/16Apr MNLSFO and had a 1hour delay due to problems with the upper deck door.

I hope my flight back home next week turns out well, too.

^^ yes. flew may of 2010 and march of this year (mla-lax)and yep, ganyan na ang screens. though yung flight namin pabalik la, yung luma.

^^^yes sis, meron na. i flew tokyo-manila via PAL (Boeing 777) last year and individual screens na per seat. but for my hkg & us trips, haven't encountered a PAL plane with individual screens yet.

my experience din with Pal is not good, delayed flight kami nun, kasabay ko pa si Vernie Varga nun,

and yun service ng stewardess naku mas type ko pa ang SG and CAthay, pati yu convenience eveb yun sinakyan ko [textspeak!] going to US bucet din, mas type ko pang sumakay sa iba kesa sa PAL natin

sa individual screens nya, may personal console/switch ka din pa to pause, fast forward, switch channels on the movie/mode you are watching?

In one of my trips to Cebu, may individual screens din and yes may sariling controls if you want to pause, switch channels, etc.

^^ yes and you get a lot of options for movies. maybe around 40-50?  when i flew this year, they had all of the harry potter films including hp7 hehe. they have mostly new ones tapos maybe a couple of tagalog films. they also have tv shows (pero ito super konti), games and albums (including 500 days of summer and glee soundtrack!). but yun nga, that was yung papuntang manila. nung papuntang la, ay yung lumang airplane so ang lungkot. pero last year, yung bago nasakyan ko for both trips.

depende sa aircraft na gagamitin sa flight kung may individual screens o wala. yung bago at re-furbished boeing, meron na. isa nalang yata lumang beoing. lahat ng airbus walang individual screen sa fiesta class. sa mabuhay class lang

^kung ipapare-book mo, yes you need to let them know. but if not, carry lang na hindi na. ikaw naman kasi talo dun ;p

thanks sis!  yan, at least nakaka engganyo na magbook. hehe  Pero need to check first kung bago ang plane before magbook, at kelangan nga din icheck kung mags-strike ba sila o hindi.

Newbie here...

Pa understand naman po sa akin yung PALAKBAYAN. 2 adults and 2 kids kami. So for adults, 2 TWIN tapos for kids pwede ba yung CHILD WITHOUT BED na rate. Mas makakatipid kasi pag CHILD WITHOUT BED yung rate eh. Papayagan naman siguro ng resort kung yung kids makikishare na lang ng bed sa adults

^^Even if the scheduled aircraft sa flight of your choice is new hindi 100% na masusunod yun. Pwede kasi magkaroon ng aircraft switching/rotation due to technical reasons.

As to the strike, PALEA will not announce their strike in advance. Kaya nga yun ang mahirap eh tipong maso-surprise ka na lang. But so far tahimik naman sila ngayon but you'll never know.

I'm supposed to fly back home to MNL today from here in SFO. Unfortunately, the flight is full AND later on, after checking the load, SFO PR called me up to advise me that tonight's flight was cancelled. Good thing I thought of checking the flight and left my number this morning! It just so happened pa na the PR agent who called me was formerly from my old airline. What a small world  ...so, tomorrow, there will be two SFOMNL flights. Super full kasi the flight which was supposed to leave tonight. Buti na lang the next one is available. End of vacay, back to reality.Haha...

About the earlier queries regarding personal tvs, only the newly refurbished 747s have them. Yes, I think there's one or a couple that are not yet updated (unfortunately, I flew on those last year). The A340s, which also fly to the US, only have them on Mabuhay Class.
