yes sis  you can actually see the breakdown of the price in your ticket if you buy it in PAL's ticketing office

No, airport tax is not included. I think you mean is "PH travel tax included". Yes, it is if you paid the ticket at their ticketing office.

Airport tax is the fee you pay for using the airport or terminal. For international travel it's Php750.00 you pay this at the airport or terminal fee counter before entering immigrations.
PH Travel tax is the tax you pay to travel outside of the country. For economy and business class tickets it's Php1620.00

^yes i have used my mabuhay miles several times for int'l travel  i just go to a ticketing office and redeem it  sa makati PAL office, may mabuhay miles section sila, not sure if it's still there though  sayang sis if you just let it expire, if kulang pa, you can buy naman miles that you still need, mas konti lang babayaran mo.

yes sis.. nageexpire.. may mageexpire ngako sa June kaya panic mode na wag mo muna i transfer sa mabuhay miles hanggang hindi pa naman gagamitin or mageexpire sa card mo.. like sakin sa hsbc.. ang pagkakamali ko, atat ako before to transfer my miles to mabuhay na kagad... e hindi pa naman mageexpire kay hsbc

mas mura ba magpabook ng ticket thru phonecall lang o thru agent na lang? 2 weeks from now need ko umalis kase going to singapore eh..

I've tried using miles for intl trips, too. Take note, you have taxes to pay for. Only the fare, in the form of miles, is free. For example, I paid around Php5000+ in taxes for a free round trip business class ticket to Singapore. Nothing is totally free ha.

HSBC is discontinuing their Mabuhay Miles visa card and reformatting their HSBC classic visa card where you can also earn MM, among other things.

Mga sis, balak namin mag U.S. next summer (April 2012).  Tagal pa. Pero I was wondering, pag ganyan na sa summer, nagkakasale?  Pwede ba purchae in advance - may discount?  Wala na ako idea sa price ng US trip kasi 1998 pa ako last nakapunta dun. 4 kami kaya medyo mahal.  Around magkano kaya pag magsale ang fare?

sis, when you redeem your miles, do you pay extra ie fees, taxes, etc?

Taxes are based on the destination so it all depends. Try contacting the PAL hotline at 8558888.

Bigla akong nag-worry buying tickets for my MIL's trip to the US in July with what's currently happening with PAL management and PALEA. Hay! Sana naman once and for all maayos na yung sitwasyon na yan. Then my hubby goes "Asa ka pa, hanggang nandyan si LT walang mangyayari dyan". Speaking from experience

^My worries, too! Yesterday, I told my colleague from KE, who's married to a PR ground crew, how come every time my kids and I are travelling during summer, this happens....exactly like last year kaya I had to adjust our trip schedules around it....sheesh...

any feedbacks flying business class with PAL to an international destination?

Me and my husband ayaw na namin magtravel ng economy pag more than 8 hours yun byahe! Kaloka, flight nga to Manila na 8 hrs lang, hirap ako, nung nag 13 hrs kami, ay, patay na ko so pati si hubby hirap sakin... so never again

next long haul flight namin is to the US e. Gusto namin mag Pinas muna then US na. Pero I dunno if it's worth flying business class with PAL e. No offense pero I've only flown with them once. I didn't like their 'service' talaga. Attendants were rude. And I wasn't used to not being given a menu where I can pick my meals from. Aba malay ko ba na never heard pa sa PAL na magprovide ng menu

^i did but never long haul. ok naman menu. they revamped their menu already =) i cannot vouch for the service coz i usually sleep when i fly.

^^Haven't experienced biz class in PAL myself (I fly CX and KLM) but according to my MIL who's flown both first and biz with them okay naman daw. Probably since my father-in-law was a retired PAL pilot friendship nila ang mga flight crew kaya lagi silang extra attention.

For this upcoming US trip nga, I'm trying to convince my MIL to take CX para sabay with us but she prefers to take PAL pa rin kasi straight flight and I guess because of the extra attention na rin that she gets from the flight crew.
