Pregnancy Acne: pls help

good day mga sisters!

i'm 12 weeks pregnant and i dont have any morning sickness, my pregnancy is not maselan but i have a very big problem with the breakouts/pimples/acne 

they told me na mawawala naman daw ito once na nanganak na ako, but 12 weeks palang (almost 3 mos) huhuhuhu. sabi ko nga, dumapo ng lahat sa akin wag nalang kay baby...

mga sisses...

have you encountered pregnancy acne??? pls suggest effective treatment for this.. sabi kasi ni ob hayaan ko nalang daw,,,but how can you ignore this problem kung everyday mo nalang hehe

I had the same dilemma, and I went to my derma, and was given medications na safe naman kahit buntis ako. Di ko rin kasi matiis dahil never ko na-experience and break-outs not until my pregnancy, and grabee talaga ang effect nya sa self-esteem ko, kaya kinulit ko yung OB ko at Derma. ko to give me meds na makakatulong. Right now, umokey na skin ko, yung marks na lang ang problema kasi nangingitim sya, and i cannot use any whitening/bleaching agent...but i must admit i am guilty of using a drop or two of my previous whitening cream,para mag-peel sya, pero i stopped na rin kasi takot din ako sis!
I suggest you ask your doctors prior to using any anti-acne products, just to be safe..Goodluck!

had this during my 1st tri. my OB & derma gave me the go signal to have a facial & power peel. after that ok na skin ko.

My derma didn't touch my face when I was pregnant, even though I had a really bad case of acne due to the steroids I was taking.  She didn't want any risk since I had a high-risk pregnancy.

After I gave birth, she treated me using Omnilux light therapy, diamond peel and pricking, but she never put any glycolic peel or any stuff on my face.  Erythromycin lang din ang puwede for me since I was breastfeeding.

sa first pregnancy ko ganyan din ako. i used Aplosyn 25 cream. you can buy it in mercury drug. very effective sya for me. madali mag dry up yung pimples, yun nga lang medyo dark yung scars. nawawala rin naman pero di talaga ako gumamit ng whitening. cetaphil lang to clean my face.

^may steroids yan sis. my eldest used that cream but lower percentage when he was a baby

bawal po bang may steroids?? i asked my derma din kasi kung pwede nya ako bigyan ng cream for my acne, sabi nya better ask the ob...wala tlaga hehe

i actually have the same problem. its from the hormonal imbalances... i just stay away from the mirror and since i have a maselan na pregnancy im on complete bed rest so the only time i go out of the house is for checkups. haha

Count me in! Everyone in our office just seem to notice my face and not my baby bump especially because prior to being pregnant, i really had a smooth skin. Everytime I wash my face and may nafi-feel akong new zis, naiinis talaga ko. I already asked my OB for meds that I can put and ayaw nya talaga ko pa-derma. I really hope it subsides soon. Buti pa the other mommies na hinde nagka-zits while preggy. Dark pa naman yung marks ng saken.

^ Sis, I was the ugliest pregnant woman because of acne.  Wala akong magawa because I had to take steroids for my medical condition and it was the steroid (Prednisone) which caused my pimples.  Good thing I was on bed rest so I had an excuse not to see other people.  My OB and derma are both conservative, so absolutely no meds or creams for the zits during pregnancy.

Mawawala rin iyan, magastos nga lang magpa-derma after giving birth.

i work as assistant secretary/hr staff and talagang madaming makakakita sa akin na maraming zits...haizt zits hehe

^ bring concealer nalang sis. a good concealer will conceal what needs to be hidden. hehe

same here! daming zits! as in puno yung sa may baba at noo ko. sabi mawawala daw pagkapanganak, hope so. kasi i am pimple-free naman before i got pregnant. hay! tried mild soaps and cleansers pero no effect talaga. meaning i really need to wait til i gve birth before mawala yung zits. ingat mommies!

tiyagaan talaga mga sis...mukhang nabati yata ako sa thread na ito! for a couple of weeks i was pimple-free na again,pero kanina after posting on this thread ayun, may tumubo na naman na isa..palaging sa may bandang baba..hay..kalungkot na naman! =(

^^haha! nai-immune na nga ko sa kakabati ng mga co-workers ko. sabe ko nga, sandale lang naman to. after this derma and massage to the max talaga ko!

nakakalungkot lang talaga kasi di ako sanay na may zits/marks sa mukha dahil di talaga ako nagkaka-pimples during my non-pregger hehe!
Ang consolation na lang natin mga sis sa lahat ng "transformations" na nangyayari sa atin eh yung pagdating ng ating little angel, and hopefully healthy and happy babies silang lahat sa dami ng sacrifices ng kanilang mga mommies, di ba? Di bale na tayo ang pumangit basta sa ikaka-healthy ng mga babies natin, okey na rin yan...=)

^ i agree with you sis... stay away nalang talaga muna sa salamin. wag na muna tumingin at baka madepress lang. haay... ganyan talaga siguro kaya wala na tayo magagawa. tiis ganda nalang muna hehe

ako, hindi naman sya zits na malalaki, kundi parang butlig butlig na pag kinutkot eh whiteheads ang laman, super dami sa noo ko at sa pisngi. grabe, sobra parang binudbod.. wala din akong magawa, im 6mos preggy na and tiis tiis lang talaga..

I think my zits are getting fewer na. Or maybe it's more of acceptance na lang hahaha! Seriously though, parang nag-slow down na nga yung spurts nya, am currently at 11 weeks na ngayon. My concern is the scars kaya I invest on nice concealers. I'm using cinema secrets chaka face shop alternately.
