Got my certification from CMAS, and had my first open water dive at the director's resort at Anilao Batangas. He took his underwater dslr as well so we walked away with a dive log book, certification, and pictures.

Ang ganda sa Anilao. As in. Subsidized naman kasi kami since scuba diving is a PE class at our university. What normally costs P20,000 is immediately reduced to around P5000-P10000.

Interested din kami sa scuba diving. so, for newbies like me, ang first to take is the introduction to scuba? may certificate din ba yun? tapos anong ginagawa dun? we wanna try yung sa anilao ba yun? same rate parin ba? please help. ala po talaga ko bckground. thank you. :-)

^sis backread ka ng konti :-) na-explain na most of your questions :-)

But basically walang certificate sa intro dive. Meron siguro na parang you have tried na to dive but kung yung certificate na you are now certified to dive in open water, you really have to take a formal scuba certification class. That's the one that's a bit expensive, from 5k to 20k.  Yung intro, super dali lang wala kang gagawin actually masyado mag finning ka lang since ang control sa scuba gear will be by a divemaster but sa certification class you will have to learn how to use the gears by yourself.  About Anilao, hmmm can't help you since one time lang ako nagdive dun, Planet Dive.  Okay din sa Planet dive ang intro since shore dive lang sya unlike pag boat dive na tatalon ka sa dagat haha.

Sana hindi lang sa pool yung lesson para mas feel. Iba kasi yung pagconquer ng fear kapag sa dagat na mismo. Kung P900 lnag tapos kasama lesson + gears + actual dive with a PADI instructor - good deal yan!

nag inquire ako online sa anilao. never been into scuba diving. this would be my first time. pero gusto ko na mag boat diving. so they gave me a 3.5k for 1 day diving, this incudes the pool diving and the beach diving. im just not sure if its a boat or a shore diving since when they answered me, di nila na emphasized kung anong klaseng diving so i need to clarify pa po. now, naghanap ako if ever may mas mura pa sa bigay nila. may package kasi sila na almost 6k for 2 days 1 night stay and yung 1 day diving nga. is ita good deal? or may iba pang alternatives? pag sa anilao ba iisa lang ba ang pinapag dive-an or iba ba din? may narinig ako bauan? dun ba yun? i really need more info. please refer us if may alam kayo best deal. thank you po

Although I'm not really a swimmer, I did my 1st ever dive in Balicasag in Bohol. My bf trusted naman my divemaster that time so pinayagan nya me. Hobby nya kasi talaga magdive anywhere in the world so syempre being his gf, kailangan me knowledge din ako kahit papaano. Anyways, I love what I've seen underwater and maganda talaga although diving is not my thing kasi mabilis ako mag-panic.  

According to bf, the best dive sites in the Phils is Sabang in Puerto Galera (although medyo sleazy yung place,its the dive ur after naman so tiis na lang), Balicasag Island in Bohol  for untouched marine life, night dive in Boracay for lots of illuminating fishes and Coron for wreck dives specifically Olympia Maru. We are currently constructing our website www.jeepneyguide.com and we'll put a special section there for diving.

^^ hi sis, i read your friend's blog. tama ka, im not amazed. i saw ur blog either, ganun ang ine-expect ko, kaso for now, dito lang ako sa tabi tabi. batangas and puerto galera lang ang choice ko, hanggang dun lang ang abot ng oras at pera ko sa ngayon. :-) so now, ekis na ang outrigger. planet dive and dive and trek ang need ko search ng blog para makapag decide.

about sabang, possible ba na mag stay ka sa white beach and just go to sabang for your scuba diving? this would be our first time ni bf so this should be great. yung near,affordable, safe, and amazing sana ang hinahanap ko for now.

1,800 lang pala ang intro dive sa dive n trek, iyong binanggit sa amin 2500.

sana maulit ko ang experience na iyan kahit intro dive lang ulit. di ko feel mga underwater pics ko nung unang intro dive ko natakot at naexcite kasi ako agad sa ilalim.

may nakakaalam po ba dito kung magkanong intro dive sa apo reef? di ko kasi ito nagawa nung pumunta kami. balak ko pagbalik dun gawin ko na talaga ito.

kailangan ba good swimmer ka para makapgscuba diving? gustong gusto i-try ni hubby to and syempre gusto ko sumama pag nagtry siya pero hindi ako good swimmer lalo na pag open sea na.

^Nope, you don't even need to know how to swim to dive :-) I can't swim at all except langoy aso but I am and OW certified diver haha. Different kasi ang pagswim at pag-fin ng paa sa diving  :-) So no worries! Kahit di swimmer, kakadive pa rin :-)

I went to AquaWorld in Makati yesterday. I was just there to buy a mask and a spare strap. In the end hubby and I asked about diving and their courses. hehe! Daming goods! They also have a pool for intro diving. They were really accomodating. Kung wala lang kaming isa pang lakad ng asawa ko, we would have stayed some more and probably sign the enrollment form! Hahaha! kakatuwa dun. I wish we could dive one of these days (or years?)
