Manila Walking Tours

Hey sissies! I realized there isn't any thread yet about walking tours so I made one. So far the only one I tried is with Carlos Celdran and believe you me, it's money well spent. Worth every peso.


My BFF and I went on the Intramuros Walking Tour with him and we had a blast! We also learned a lot about our history. There's even a point pa na we're both teary-eyed. Haha. You know what I super recommend his walking tours. I want to try the Binondo and Imelda tours next time.

^Yeah, I think that one is for photowalks. Walking tour is different in a sense that you walk around to know the history and there's a tour guide. You do this not to take pictures. Here's a link:

^ sis, the Manila thread under Wow Phils isn't exactly for photowalks only.  It just happened that recent posts are about photo enthusiasts interested to go around old Manila and the bay etc for shoot and tour at the same time.  But we're all interested in Manila, in general.

I suggest, let's discuss in the said thread.  I'm sure your inputs on Celdran Tours will be helpful there.

I availed the Intramuros Regular but there was a Calesa Ride so maybe it's deluxe. It came with a free Halo-halo which I really liked. Our tour kasi was on the afternoon but one of my friends joined a tour in the morning and they had lunch in Aristocrat.

Yes, I saw that link already. I want to try it too but I'm not sure if it's good. I want the FEU tour. I'll blog about my walking tour experience on Fri. Sorry I was so busy these past few days. BTW, nice blog you have.

I've tried tours both by Ivan Man Dy and Carlos Celdran. Both are really great and well worth the money.

The Big Binondo Food Wok (Ivan Man Dy) is GREAT. I took this tour way back in 2006 pa. It includes some church stops and of course, food stops. Dito namin na discover mga places we wouldn't otherwise have discovered on our own. Naka ilang balik na ko sa mga restaurants na napuntahan namin since then.

His Malacanang tour is also good. It's a great way of learning about the Philippines' history. It's capped with a merienda at La Cocina de Tita Moning, which serves really great paella.

With Carlos Celdran, I've tried the Imelda/CCP complex tour, otherwise known as the "chismis tour." Sobrang aliw si Carlos. He's a true entertainer. His tour is focused naman on not just Imelda, but on the Philippines in the 70's.

Both tour gives you a fresh new look at Manila. Since then, I've learned to appreciate Manila more

That's the one- the Malacanang Tour. My co-blogger Doms keeps insisting I should try that. Super sulit daw for only P950!

I learned about C.Celdran a few years ago when I saw his tour via the cable channel (ANC). LOL! So poor me.. I think it was in Storyline and boy, he sure know how to  get the attention of his followers. Since then, I promised that I will take one of his tours around manila.. Parang last time, nasa 700 lang ata yung walking tours nya.. Anyway, I will try doing a tour SOON with him... "Walk this way please"

Awww... Buti ka pa sis. I was really very eager to book a tour with him kaya lang on the day of the Binondo tour itself, we came pa from Subic so we got to Manila late. Di bale next time, I'll prioritize this tour talaga.

To the sisses who did the "if these walls could talk" tour, the tour will begin at the fort santiago then ends in san agustin museum. Just wanted to ask, where did you park? Please help me. It's gonna be my surprise birthday gift to hubby. Pero hindi ko alam where to park? Should we park at the museum since the tour will end there? Thanks in advance!
