had lunch sa makati branch nila with my fiance and nieces and nephews. sulit naman, di kasi ako pizza lover pero solved na solved sila lahat. bale 10 kami, we had the 35 inch pizza, fishbowl teas and 3 pastas, less than3K. ayos na rin! great service!

We tried their BF Paranaque branch last Saturday. Buti na lang we liked the food kasi kung hindi, baka nang away na mom ko...

My mom, guy cousin and I ordered the 12" La Carne Buono (all meat), large Napolitan pasta, 2 vases of iced tea (yep, no glasses here) and 1 coke zero. Siguro after 5 minutes, nagpa additional kame ng 2 medium Carbonara for my bro & his gf. Onti lang naman di ba, not hard to remember. After approximately 15 minutes, the waiter came to us with a medium Napolitan pasta. Eto yung conversation:

Me: is that a large Napolitan pasta? ang liit naman
Waiter Guy: medium po
M: but we ordered a large pasta
WG: oo nga po. Large Napolitan pasta & 2 medium carbonara for take out
M: Oh, eh ano yan? (as nicely as I could coz the guy is cute )
WG: medium Napolitan pasta po (as in para pa din shang clueless sa nangyayari)
I saw my mom na medyo nababad trip na so I said to him "We ordered a large pasta kasi for the 3 of us. Ganto na lang. Yang medium mo, palitan mo ng large"

so yun, bumalik na sha sa kitchen. Pagbigay naman samin ng pasta about 5 minutes after, large na sha. We all liked the pasta so good mood na ulit kaming 3. When we were about to finish the pasta (wala pa din yung pizza at that time), may lumapit na different guy. Nagkamali daw sila ng luto ng pizza. Yung El Buono Special daw ang naluto nila. Medyo umiinit na ulit yung ulo kasi I specifically chose the all meat pizza so I can bring a slice for my brother coz he doesnt eat veggies. If yung La Carne Buono pa rin daw yung gusto namin, we would have to wait for another 15- 20 minutes. So I said, sige, yung naluto na lang yung i-serve samin. Masarap naman sha and we all enjoyed the food pero jus ko sa service! Buti na lang mahaba ang pasensya naming lahat that night. We liked the food so much that we decided that we're going to have it for lunch again the following day in the hospital so my brother can try it. My bro was confined at that time. We asked if may delivery fee kasi malapit lang yung hospital. Meron daw so my mom spoke with a guy (I guess manager yun). Pumayag naman na i-waive yung fee.

The following day (Sunday), I called El Buono at around 11am and I asked for the manager who's going to waive the delivery fee (P100). Eto conversation namin..

Me: May I speak with Jay, yung manager nyo ata?
El Buono: Wala pa po sha dito.
M: Ay ganun.. We spoke with him kasi last night and he told us he's going to waive the delivery fee
EB: Ma'am, hindi ko po alam yan. Kung gusto nyo po, tawagan niyo sha, meron naman shang # dito
M: Ok fine, kuha lang ako ng pen & paper
Pag balik ko sa line, dial tone na. So I called again..
M: I was the 1 who called a few seconds ago. Bakit mo binaba yung phone?
EB: Nag hehello po ako wala na kayo
M: Hindi mo ba narinig na sinabi ko na kukuha lang ako ng paper & pen?
EB: Ay, hindi po
M: Ok fine. What's Jay's number?
EB: Ako na lang po tatawag
M: Ok fine. I'll call back after 5 minutes
I waited for 10 minutes before calling kasi feeling ko palpak nanaman sila
EB: Ma'am, wala na daw po delivery fee
M: That's good
EB: Pero..
M: Anong pero?
EB: Anong oras niyo po kailangan yung pagkain?
M: Ngayong lunch. Around 12nn. Bakit?
EB: Kasi po may mga dine-in customers kami eh ako lang yung nagluluto. Pwede po kayong umorder pero hindi ko masisigurado kung anong oras makaka dating jan.
M: You know what, never mind. Let's not waste more of each others time. Thanks anyway

ganyan talaga ang customer service nila ang pangit... okay na sana yun food pero OMG wala sila clue sa delivery pag malapit dapat free pero hindi... hays...

gusto ko nga malaman kung sino owner kasi yun mga kinukuha nila palpak... ayaw ng sales ako ganyan na ganyan din nagyari sa akin to think mandaluyong branch naman yun tinutukoy ko...
masarap yun food and okay yun price pero naiisip ko ganito ba dapat yun customer service dahil nga cheap lang yun food???

Hehe, okay naman yung Makati Cinema Square branch, lagi kong nakikita na maraming staff naglalagay ng toppings sa giant-sized pizza although di ko pa na-try magpadeliver. Sa Makati free delivery but they would only deliver if you order 1) 1 celebrity or 2) 1 giant and 1 12 inch. E mag-isa lang ako kaya di ako makapagpa-deliver.

Anyway, na-try namin ng bufra ko yung eat all you can pasta & pizza with iced tea for P249 lang. Sobrang sulit kasi masarap and hindi tipid sa toppings. They will prepare the item after you ordered kaya served "fresh" di tulad ng ibang eat all you can. Downside is medyo matagal yung pagitan ng preparation time kaya better alam na ninyo ang kaya ninyong ubusin para di mabitin sa kakahintay. Tip: For 2, better 2 regular lang talaga oorderin na pasta kasi yung large nila e large talaga, parang 1/4 lang yung regular ng large as in umaapaw. Masuka-suka na kami sa dami to the point na gusto ko na lang bayaran yung "penalty fee" for the leftovers. Yung iced tea medyo di ko type kasi powdered drink, sugar-conscious lang siguro ako or nalulunod ako kase parang fishbowl yung baso. Also, don't expect much of the place, small pizza parlor lang talaga where you can pig out. Pero overall, it's supergood lalo na for the price. Before kasi it's Jugno's and Pizza Niro ang sikat dito for the "sulit" priced-pizza, pero I can say El Buono is way way ahead in terms of taste.

Nakita ko ito last night sa MCS ako kasi ang nagpark, parang ang dilim nung place. Talagang magkatabi pa sila ng yellow cab yellow cab craving ng anak ko kaya dun kami. Sa susunod maitry dito sa el buono sana d palpak servive. Yun pa naman pinaka-ayaw ko (kaya kanina nilayasan namin red ribbon).

el buono pizza is good. better than their counterparts Niro and monster pizza but they're not the biggest in town. jungos ba yung may 50 inches pizza. but it is expensive.

there is another one which was featured on tv. calda pizza who serves 36 inches the biggest din daw. but is just as bad as monsters. you can watch them prepare their pizza which is bad because 1) their staff are unhygienic dumi ng kamay 2) dumi ng place 3) keso nila puro cheddar cheese. magnolia pa because I saw their staff prepare it. imagine 1/4 slice mozzarella the rest 2 bars of cheddar lol.

Wow! gusto na talagang ma try ang El buono sa Paranaque ba kahit within Paranaque ka mag papa deliver may service fee pa din ba? sama pa din ba ang price nila?

They say El Buono has a 65-inch pizza which they claim to be deliverable. ... Which should be something interesting to watch out for. Especially on how they plan to make a 65" in diameter pizza fit in the standard elevator.

But I also like El Buono. They have this distinct flavor that's more in my opinion a hint of Spanish-Mexican than the usual Italian tasting pizza.

^^Calda Pizza, you say?

It's good enough to be fair to Calda. But it's too-much of a thin crust pizza that it qualifies as cheating already. It's simply MAGIC FLAKES with sauce and toppings. And I agree that their place in pioneer is kinda like the typical burger machine joint only crappier ... Sorry. But that is true. Though their prices are way affordable than the standard competition. And they have a whooping 36-incher for half the price than that of El Buono, or Shakey's own giant pizza.

Now there's another Mandaluyong based Pizza restau that goes for size Length-wise naman. Learned it from  another forum which had someone declare "Mine is Longer" ... Oh well.  

The pizza restau is called Red Brick Pizza Station, which I am not sure if related to the Red Brick Giant Pizza that is based in QC. What this Red Brick Manda offers is up to One Meter in Length of Pizza approximately worth over 1k. And it's worth it, at least in my opinion. It's a lot like Shakey's Thin Crust which is something I prefer over the greasy bread type pizza of Yellow Cab.

I never got to eat at their restau but someone told me they don't serve beer so ... what's the point?

we ordered a 22" pizza from their new branch in dasma, cavite last tuesday. it was late at night and we couldn't find a place that delivers food at that time so we decided to call them. we liked the taste of the pizza. i loved the cheese they used and their service was okay. we didn't wait a long time for the pizza to be delivered.
