Renewal of Wedding Vows...

just want to ask what if kung first wedding you only have 2 pairs of principal sponsors, and now na gusto nyo mag-renewal of vows, pwede bang mag-add pa ng principal sponsors or it's not appropriate?

aquarelle i wanna know the same thing. that didn't cross my mind actually. but now that you mentioned it, having sponsors on vow renewal seem smart. =)

i know. that was my concern since the first time we got married as in super small and simple wedding lang talaga. we wanted to renew our vows again, but this time it's more like a big wedding. wanted to add principal sponsors pa, that is, kung appropriate kaya for a vow renewal.

hi mga sis, kami rin ni hubby, gusto naming magrenew ng vows. just like sis aquarelle_11 , super simple lang din church wedding namin dati (wala pa kasing enough hehe), ngayon medj kahit papaano nakapagipon na. so gusto sana namin mas paghandaan, tsaka thank you narin kasi for the past few years strong ang marriage namin at naovercome namin mga trials. kasi ngayon mas masarap sabihin ang vows, kasi ang dami na naming napagdaanan.

sis chrislovestintin, i checked out yr wedding site. ang galing naman every year kayo kinakasal. di ba magastos? hehe...kasi yearly iba-iba suppliers nyo. so kung magrenew kami ng vows sa 10th year, wala nang need ng papers,tama ba? just ask the priest na ibless kami ulit?

sis Aquarelle & Barefoot bride:  I don't think there are rules re how many sponsors you should get for renewal of vows.  Pero kami ni hubby, kumukuha lang ng 1 sponsor per renewal (from our original list of sponsors, 1st wedding) since we renew our vows on a yearly basis. 

sis Jessel:  Yung 1st wedding, magastos kasi everything was in a hurry.  We didn't attend any bridal fairs kaya walang discounts & freebies.  Tight budget na yung 2nd to 10th renewal (300-350K). And yes dear, no need for papers.  We asked our officiating priest to bless our union na lang every year (with mass).

sis bheypot: I inquired last Jan. at Caleruega, puede naman.  They just asked me to forward a copy of our church wedding cert.  Baka depende sa church?

question po. we are planning for renewal of vows also this november, it's our 10th anniversary. actually, we had our civil wedding back in 2001, then a year after mas bonggang wedding inside the venue of our reception officiated by an orthodox priest. back then we didn't know that he does not belong to to the roman catholic sect. one month preparation lang kasi and sobrang ilusyonada ako that time na gusto ko ng garden wedding na wala ng mga seminar seminar..... now gusto ko na talaga sa church under our roman catholic belief.....help me naman how's the process. simple celebration lang gusto ko kasi wala talagang kaming extra budget. though i'm hoping na ma document with a same day edit video yung aming 10th hehe.. (ilusyon na naman ito!) but seriously speaking i want it documented with a good video....

for wedding vows, meron ba kayo sample? my hubby and i wed in a civil wedding ceremony. we are planning to have a church wedding 4-5 years from now. matagal pa pero i am just wondering.

Mga sis, sa renewal ba, kasama pa din yung mga traditional veil, cord and candle or blessing lang talaga? Nakakatuwa naman si sis tintin! I would love a renewal siguro on our 5th or 10th.

Marami ng nag-oofer ng mura yet quality na SDE/on-site video kaya i-achieve yang dream mo    Kung 1st time niyo ikakasal sa under a Catholic rite sis, baka hindi pa rin matatawag na renewal of vows.  Process?  Hmmnn I think you have to submit your marriage contract, birth, confirmation and baptismal certificate sa Parish where you intend to get married.  Then there's the pre-cana seminar as well.

Hi sis, tulad ng nasabi ko kay sis sofiameredith, baka hindi considered as renewal of vows since wala pa naman kayong vows na ginawa under the Catholic Church.  Nung 1st wedding namin, wala talaga kami personal vows kasi ang allowed lang eh yung traditional na "Wear this ring..."  We were allowed to say our own vows on our 2nd and 3rd wedding

Hello sis Maika!  For renewal, I think it's up to you and your husband if you still want the cord & thecandle.  Pero kami wala ng ganun ng renewal.  We decided na i-bless na lang kami and recite our vows.  Veil?  Nung 2nd wedding wala na rin ako, nung 3rd naglagay uli para maiba hehe

Ako din i want it sana matuloy maybe on our 5th annin or 10th anniv nawala kasi ni hubby yun wedding ring naman.. galing nya kasi binawian ata ako kasi nawala ko naman yun engagement ring haha.. sabi ko if we will buy again new set of ring lest have it blessed again.. so sa renewal nalang.. Pwede kasi na simple wedding nalang.. ako ayoko na din magsuot ng super bongang gown a simple beige na knee length gown ok nako hahaha.. si hubby sabi nya suotin daw nya uli yun barong nya hehe.. and invite some very close friends mga ganun.. wala na masyadong arte..

@sis chrislovestintin, gaya nga ng nasabi ko dati, super ka-inspire talaga kayo ni hubby mo. We were thinking if we could renew our vows na din tuloy. This year na! Can't wait for 5 years eh. LOL Well, seriously... I was imagining something simple. Like isang officiating priest, kami, then a few witnesses. We wanted a solemn ceremony. I was just thinking sis, don't they have restrictions on where the renewal of vows will be held? Regarding fee ng officiant, same lang din ba? Ikaw lang alam kong makakasagot nyan e. LOL

The vow renewal idea suddenly sprung when I finished doing my dream wedding dress. Hahaha... nagawa ko din sya and I was supposed to display it lang. But then I thought, I really wanted to wear it.... Kaya I asked hubby what he thought about this renewal of vows idea. Kaya eto... mega research na kami.

sis hot_lalai:  Wow, nakagawa ka ng dream gown mo!  Talentada ka talaga sis According to our officiating priest, renewal of vows pede outside the church just like what we did on our 2nd and 3rd wedding.  Re fees, same lang ang stipend na binbigay namin sa kanya yearly

Hindi na kasing stressful magplan at mag-execute ng renewal, super enjoy talaga kami ni hubby. 3-5 months prep nga lang kami lagi since 1st wedding

i'm dreaming to have our renewal of vows this year to celebrate our 7th year wedding anniversary. dreaming pa lang kasi hindi ko pa nasasabi kay hubby i don't know where to get the budget pa kasi and how much ang magagastos. but i wanted to be simple and intimate, pwede bang kaming mag-anak lang, as in me,husband and our daughter or kelangan din ng witnesses? buti at pwede outside the churck kasi gusto ko sa beach or kahit malapit lang sa beach  then immediate family lang din ang invited so parang bonding moment na rin for us after the ceremony.
