Another good option is Beestar. It is an online website I have been using for my daughter and also my students in an afterschool program. It helps keep them entertained and I am able to track their progress. I can also cater the needs to each student (and my child). The best part is my students and my daughter get really excited to see how often they show up on the honor roll which helps boost their confidence. They become more familiar with different types of questions and enjoy the challenges too. I think it is a great supplemental option.

Has anyone tried enrolling their kids to Enopi Math and English at the same time? Iniisip ko pa if stop ko yung English in a few months to give away to Math which I think my daughter needs more help on.

I am planning to enroll my 5 year old son sa Kumon. He's a Kinder student and ok siya sa Math. Hindi kami hirap turuan siya. For some reason marunong na siya talaga. But we want to enroll him kasi we don't know how to teach him how to read. My husband's Aunt is a Tutor and she taught me how to teach my son how to read but I don't have the patience. I want him to know how to read kasi yung lessons niya alam na niya pero mali sagot kasi hindi pa niya nababasa yung instructions hehe.

Now, my question is, pano kaya yung schedules for Kumon? Kailangan ba everyday siya dun? Or meron silang 2 hours a week lang. Or pwede during weekends lang?

Thanks!

I love Enopi or Eye Level, tried it before nung nagkaron sila ng coupon sa Ensogo, kaso too young pa kid ko nun, and then ni try ko ulit nung nagschool na anak ko, okay naman siya, kasi cooperative na siya and naging independent, mas ginaganahan siya gumawa ng homeworks kasi nakasanayan na niya yung mga take home worksheets niya. For now, Math ko muna siya naka enroll kasi medyo mabigat din yung amount, pero it's an investment na rin for us :)

My son is now 4 yrs old. And sabay ang Enopi Math and English niya. :(

Nagstart sya ng Math last summer, then yung reading last November lang. mas type nya magsagot yung Reading, yung Math na 4-pages na worksheets nya inaabot kami ng 30 mins. Lalo na nitong christmas break, meron syang 2 worksheets per day from Dec 20-Jan 2 kaso kalahati lagn nasagutan namin.

Thanks for the feedback, sisses. I'll just have her take Enopi English for now.

Update:

My husband and I went to Kumon in Pasay Road Makati to inquire. My son is done with the assessment exam and we are still waiting for their text/call for the parent's orientation. Good thing they have 10:30Am schedule during weekdays so sakto lang after my sons school.

Hindi maingay and in fact, my son likes it. :)

Hopefully by February makapag start na kami.

A family friend's son had a bad experience sa Kumon, pinalo ng tutor yung kamay. Then a cousin's son naman started biting his nails nung katagalan sa Kumon din. The pedia said baka too much pressure on the kid. Pina-stop na ng cousin namin. Bright naman yung child, always at the top 5 in his class since elementary, so parang no need na rin that time. Just sharing...

Parang gusto ko i-try eto for my 4-year old son kaso ayokong ma-overwhelm kung siya kung isasabay ko sa regular classes. Plan ko sana summer class lang. Effective parin kaya kahit summer lang?

Kinder 1 siya ngayon and during the last PTC, his teacher said na baka mahirapan sa Kinder 2 yung anak ko.

I'd like to enroll him sa English classes.

What do you mommies think?

I have nothing against enopi or kumon but I still prefer homebased tutorials.. iba din kasi if the study habits are developed within the comforts of home..  ;)
