for me ok naman ang mga PT kahit mura pa yan or mahal.. lahat ng ginamet ko na PT simula sa eldest ko hanggang dito sa pinagbubuntis ko na 3rd child ko is tama naman ang result. basta tama lang din ang pag gamet mo...

Pag may faint line na yung isa positive kahit malabo nung preggy ako nagtest ako ng isa nagkaroon ng super faint line yung isa yun after 2 weeks positive. Bad sad to say naMc ako last week. Dati naman nadelayed ako 1 month puro negative naka 5 pt ako non i think it's accurate wait ka lang

^sis, i suggest you buy several brands of PT. mga 4 kinds. tapos compare mo sila. and best to do after those is to consult an OB na for further testing

It depends on 2 factors:
1) Sensitivity of the pregnancy test kit
Different pregnancy tests have different levels of sensitivity. The more sensitive a PT kit, the more it will be able to detect lower levels of hCG which indicates pregnancy. It is good to test using different brands. Check the box to find out how sensitive it is (unfortunately most local brands don't indicate this). Usually more expensive PT kits are more sensitive.

2) Levels of hCG hormones
hCG hormones are what PT kits test for to determine pregnancy. These are usually low during the first weeks of pregnancy so some kits are not able to detect if you are pregnant yet. It is usually recommended to test on your 4th week or after a missed period. Also, some women have naturally low levels of hCG so the PT cannot detect their pregnancy accurately. I've read in some forums that some women still test negative in PT even in their 4th month of pregnancy.

Faint positive line is equal to positive. It just means that the hCG hormone levels are low.

There are false negatives (hCG levels are still too low to detect) but there are no false positives.

Some women miscarry during the first weeks of pregnancy if the womb conditions are not viable. This is called chemical pregnancy. So you may test as positive and then a few days/weeks later get a negative result.

zheane0127 I suggest that you buy a few more PT kits (different brands) to be sure. It is possible to have defective kits.

If the PT still shows negative you can also go to your OB to be tested. They can perform a blood test or transvaginal ultrasound to check. I tested positive before but the line was faint so I went to the OB who recommended TVU. I was only 5 weeks at the time. They found out that so far only the amniotic sac and gestational sac, but no fetus yet.

It may also be possible that you miscarried. Sometimes it happens after testing positive. Most women do not realize they miscarried when they are at the early weeks of pregnancy. Doctor's call it chemical pregnancy.

zheane0127 Pa check up kana din sis to be sure. baka mahina pa ang hcg levels mo. or test ka ulit ng ibang brand naman. yung sakin kasi, 1 week nung na late yung mens ko, nag pt ako, negative pa. then i waited for a few days, nag pt ako nag positive na sya ulit. though yung first test ko, was faint line lang. Yung sayo ba is faint line or clear sya?

i'd been delayed for 1 month now...i already done pregnancy test...few days after my missed period,. thats why im very confused right now... any idea ??

hmm..first day of my missed period (feb.7 ) i bought pregnancy kit and after the result is negative .....then i tried again 2 or 3 days  after just  to check if its really negative then again it is still negative...the reason why im confused is that i am delayed until now for almost 1 month...

....grabee...nkakakaba....what should i do?? please help..

anyway pwedeng hormonal thing lang yan, minsan before i skip a month din but di naman umaabot sa 2nd month.

and pregnancy tests measure the hcg level, and hcg levels are detectable (they increase) 24 hours after fertilization and will continue to increase up to until it's peak at 8-11 weeks then magdecline na siya after. so that's it.

HELP!!!

LMP ko was December 18 and up to now wala pa ako...nagpreg test naman ako last Jan 31st using Medic na ang mahal pero negative naman...as in clear 1 line lang sha...sumasakit naman yung puson ko...a lot of times nga feeling ko magkakaron nko pero wala pa rin...I just don't know kung bakit ayaw ko pa magpacheck or magpreg test ulit...siguro I'm scared ahhahahha

both PTs for my two pregnancies were accurate. but a friend of mine had a positive PT but it turned out she wasn't pregnant but had ovarian cysts

sa akin, accurate naman. ilang beses akong delayed and tried the kits but all negative then after a few days nagkaron na ako. may one time nga 3 months hindi ako nagkaron. dami kong nagamit na kits but still all negative.

sorry sis pero right after ko mabasa ang subject naisip ko agad - ano naman reason ni pregnancy kit para mag-lie?  pilosopo lang hehe.. Well, noong hindi pa ako nagbubuntis and puro negative result ng pregnancy tests, duda talaga ako if accurate nga sila hehe denial stage lang pala ako kasi noong nagbuntis na talaga ako, tama naman binigay niyang result sa akin (na pinagdudahan ko rin at first hehe)

I tried to test again last feb 11...ang ginamit ko is yung generic na preg test worth P45.00. At first, as in negative sha...so iniwan ko lang sha sa CR. The following morning which is my birthday, I looked at it again, wala lang. And then I saw another line sa baba pero faint sha pero visible naman...i think I have to see an OB na or ulitin ko na naman yung test hahahha

^That might be the evaporation line. The instructions on all PT kits will say to read results between 15 secs - 5 mins. Beyond that, any second line that appears is the evaporation line.

jean0415 - that happened to me sis. First PT ko, super faint line lang sya. Actually, yung unang test ko, i thought negative sya, tinapon ko kasi agad. akala ko lalabas ang yung isang line for positive. So bumili ako the next day, dun ko nakita na may faint line.

tpos positive na sis? Just had my TVS awhile ago...wala pang nakitang baby  although sabi ng OB ko na baka daw nasa early stage of pregnancy palang daw. She gave me duphaston..take ko ng 5 days, pag nagkaron ako...well negative. Pag hindi, pampakapit naman sha so repeat TVS ulit..di na advisable mag preg test...though nung pinakita ko yung pregtest ko...sbe nga nya pregnant daw ako...medjo na sad lang ako kanina na walang nakitang baby

^ sis, hindi kaya evaporation line yun? That happened to me before.

jean0415 - yup sis, nag positive ako. 20 weeks na kami ni baby ngayon. If too early pa talaga, let's say nasa 4weeks ka palang, wala pa talagang makikita. Then on your 6th week, may makikita na yan na sac/yolk sac. then mga 7 to 8th weeks, dun madedetect ang heartbeat. pa TVU ka nalang ulit sis after 2 weeks to check if may gestational sac na. Good luck and keep us posted. Ganyan din kas nung nanyari sakin. Halos lahat ng PT ko, very faint line lang nag aappear, nung nag pa tvu ako, wala pang nakitang baby, though may sac na. i was 6weeks nung inultrasound ako. so i had to go back for sa OB ko dati to check if nag ka heartbeat na si baby.
