I like to read good discussions here that are true, agreeable and applicable. adaptable , why not? We maybe different in age, issues,views but its an overall healthy forum for women

eh newbie pa naman ako, less than a month pa lang since i subscribed here eh...

anyways, first time ko to join forum..since mahilig naman ako magbasa ng mga comments ng iba kaya ayun ive decided to join here..edi nakikicomment na din ako ngayon...influenced by an officemate ..hehe! dami information/ideas na makukuha, learnings and enjoy talaga magbasa..

curious lang: ano bang meron sa old GT?sana naman maexperience pa namin yun

^ I agree with the bit about newbies. It's not fair to the new members that they're constantly blamed for whatever the older members dislike about GT because hey, at one point, we were all newbies. And if the new members came upon a forum culture wherein the rules aren't so strict, then it's natural for them to just go with the flow. Like we all did when we were new to the forum.

As for how the old GT was like- it was stricter before kasi and there were more people guarding every board. All that textspeak, all the ads that you see now- there was none of that before. There weren't a lot of redundant threads and similar threads were merged. Also, members were careful not to go off-topic. Last, you hit RTM and almost always, very quick ang decision to sanction a member or lock a thread or remove replies.

In a nutshell, mas malinis before.

However, the strength of a forum naman talaga is in its members. I think to say that the "quality" of the members has declined is kind of implying that there are members who are beneath you, which is really arrogant and has no real basis. I mean, I cringe when I read stuff I've posted. Tipong kill me now! Lol. I just really think that pretty much everything that can be discussed has already been covered so some of the older members are not inclined to post anymore. Others may be just really busy, have no time. Or yun nga, maybe they have new nicks. But whatever it is, as long as you're enjoying the forum, keber na lang sa changes. Move on. I used to whine a lot too until one day, I just said, fudge this, gusto ko dumaldal.

newbie lang ako, pero pansin ko nga medyo magulo ang GT.. while binabasa ko yung mga comments nung matagal ng forumeras, parang mas maganda nga ata yung noon..

Sana pwedeng i-mute mga mahilig magpost ng "pasubscribe", "pajoin", "joining" at kung ano pa. Nakakairita na talaga. Tagal ko na napapansin pero today sobrang nakakairita lahat ng binuksan ko na thread na may new post yun lang pala nakalagay.

hi.. i'm a newbie... question lang...

meron bang kailangan abutin na reply posts baka makapagstart nang sariling topic? kasi walang "new topic" option yong control panel ko

suggest ko lang din sana to everyone, not just newbies to read the rules and regulations. naa-update kasi yun every now and then. pero mostly, newbies talaga d nagbabasa.

pet peeve ko dito is magtatanong ng question na nasagot naman sa previous page lang naman kasi ang dahilan "mahirap kasi magbackread" or "nakakatamad mag backread". nakakainsulto kasi sa mga nagpopost lalo na sa mga diligent sa mga sumasagot sa mga tanong.
