hhmmm...not all I.T. companies naman. or minsan depende din sa projects. kapag super ngarag ang project mo. malamang, kayod kalabaw ka nyan. pero yung iba na projects mga maintenance na lang...mas maluwag yung management.

i have a friend who has just recently joined macquarie. although IT yung role, as far as i know, hndi IT company yung macquarie but a financial institution.

maganda talaga dito sa macquarie kaso bago ka makapasok...daan ka muna sa butas ng karayom. ang alam ko....upon sending resume pa lang, super filter na sila. unlike yung ibang companies...basta may magsubmit ng resume kahit hindi align sa open position nila yung skills pinapapunta pa rin.

pero pag nakapasok ka....super heaven daw hahaha.

Accenture, Inc. for me is definitely one of the top IT companies here in the Philippines, kung fresh grad ka at gustong makapasok sa IT industry go for Accenture, they'll give you all trainings you need pra sa IT career mo.. they also offer great benefits for its employees yun nga lang medyo mababa yung rate compared sa ibang IT company, pero sabi nga nung dati kong manager dun sa trainings pa lang bawing bawi na daw kami kay Accenture..

IT?! Well, first of all on call ka lagi. hehe I have worked for a dialer company for almost 4 years now. I love it kaya lang yung nightshift eh! It will take a toll on your body sooner or later. I quit my previous job because of that.

i have 6 years work experiences in 6 companies (yup, 6 on 6 but i am definitely not a job hopper.. lol) and applied in almost all of the companies posting their job ads in jobstreet and jobsdb.. =P

and based on my observations and experiences, here is my list, combination of IT and non-IT companies that an IT person can apply to in no particular order

adb, canon, chevron, fujitsu, hp, ibm, accenture, sabre, trend micro, san miguel, meralco, bdo, bpi, netsuite, lawson, rcg, deltek, globe, smart, headstrong

but be warn that in every workplace there are advantages and disadvantages so better choose properly on what to prioritize

^ sis, if you want to join an IT company, try to join those companies that provide training. understand well those training modules, para madali ka maka-adjust sa buhay IT. goodluck!

Been   hearing   the   same   thing   about   Macquarie.      Heaven   on   Earth  nga   daw. I  got   a   friend  who   started  there  last  month,  tuwang  tuwa   siya  kasi kumpleto  daw pantry.  Di mo na need lumabas para buy food. Libre na lahat.
 While   HP   naman   daw   is   Happy   Place.   Got  a   lot of former team  mates who  went  here

^ sis, this may sound like you're user-friendly ah, pero if i were you, and if you don't have a family to support (i.e. oks lang ang medyo low salary), go for ACN muna. get the experience and the training you need. after some years, and if you don't like the work and the environment anymore, try ka na sa ibang companies. pero who knows, you might like it there diba?

hmm definitely magaganda talaga company ng mga naka post dito.. Pero..  depende padin talaga e.. those are top IT companies i have friends from those companies.. kaya lang pag bagsak economy.. naku po.. tanggalan na.. someone whose with h* for 15th yrs.. cmon' tinanggal to think n may mataas n position yun.. some of  my friends from accen**** natanggal din.. the best thing to do.. is maghanap k ng work na they love their employees.. good benefits etc. although maganda nga at nasa top company ka.. pero mahalaga ka ba sa kanila, or they just need you bec of your job? IMO lang naman.. top companies offers good benefits, but for how long can you stay with them? for how long they will need you?

^ well everyone should really not love the companies they are working for since those companies will definitely will not love you back...

with regards to retrenchment, that's how business works! companies will terminate the people either on the top or at the bottom or both... employees in the middle are the one who usually stay.

for me maganda sa accenture aside sa trainings, may clubs pa na pwede ka magjoin like photography club, badminton, basketball, bowling etc. pampawala ng stress. Tska they will guide your career path talaga, may kilala ko wala pang one year e napadala na on-shore. Madaming oportunities dito. Dapat lang matyaga ka may projects kasi na super hard work ang kelangan. Medyo mabagal lang ang increase ng sahod. Pero competitive din naman to.

it also depends on the core competency of the IT company that you are in. if you're into SAP better go to an IT company na nag-specialize with SAP implementation and support. yun siguradong you'll get the exposure and career advancement that you're looking for. pareho kami ng hubby ko na IT-related ang work. ang difference lang sa work, sya regular while ako, contractual. it works for us kasi super ok ang benefits nila na nae-extend sa family, in that case, i don't need to have those benefits since meron na naman kami. pag contractual kasi mataas ang rate though less or no benefits aside from the monthly compensation.

my hubby is from IBM and i'm from fujitsu.
