hi mrs sweet,  puwede bang matanong kung sino ang travel agency na kinuha nyo? yun isang pinsan ko sa Australia sila sumama ng tour papuntang NZ, pero ayaw na ng nanay k mag-Australia, diretso NZ na lang, so nagtatanong-tanong ako ng mga travel agency....

I just arrived this early morning. I love NZ, esp the South Islands! Super love ko Queenstown!!!

Booked my kiwiway tours from a friend agent.

But from my experience, if kaya niyo transfers on your own, pwede na lang kayo kumuha ng daily tours dun. Ang daming tour companies doon. Makakapili pa kayo kung ano lang gusto niyo. Nevertheless, nag enjoy namin kaming family sa NZ trip.

i used the INZ 1189 form and submitted it along with Managers Check amounting to 500 for less than 59days (otherwise you have to use INZ 1107 and Manager's check of 6,300 if more than 59days), original passport, 2 recent passport-size photographs, bank certification, then itinerary. This is as per requirements in the form. But I added additional requirements like our credit card statements and travel confirmation booking.

They also require for you to submit your own checklist and then photocopy everything.

Sorry too lazy to google. Just have to ask here firstly, so I can follow this thread as well. My question is regarding quoted post above. Yan ba ang requirements to apply for a NZ tourist visa?

Hi! We didn't do any extreme activities, not our cup of tea hehe I want to try  the paragliding in Queenstown though, kaso lang it was soooo cold then, naninigas na kami sa land, baka maging ice na me if nasa air pa ako hahaha

All throughout the trip, we were on tour. Pero hindi sya yung tour na everyday same group ang kasama namin. Arranged lang all transfers and accommodations, then everyday, iba iba kasama namin sa tour. Very well organized, ok lahat ng hotel na nabook for us, galing ng kiwiway!

Thanks for the quick reply! Lol @ paragliding! oo nga you'll be freezing in the air! So I googled na with skydiving during winter -- pwede naman daw! 

Good for kiwiway! I'm eyeing DIY (again!) -- I reserved a slot in Haka Tours (and already booked my return ticket) already, but I'm now thinking of letting it go na. I want to stay longer in Queenstown, get more days in Lake Tekapo/Mt Cook, or spend a night/day in Wanaka. Were you able to go to Wanaka? Did you spend a night there? Which town/area should I stay longer?

We had a stop for lunch/snack at Lake Tekapo, Mt Cook and Wanaka. They're all a beauty! Would love to spend nights in Lake Tekapo when we go back to NZ. When are you going? I've read southern lights sometimes appear at Lake Tekapo.

^Early September. Read that somewhere too! Sayang nga kasi I moved my trip to September (from August), baka nag ka chance pa. Currently my planned itinerary goes like this for Lake Tekapo:
Day 1: Christchurch to Tekapo, arrive in Tekapo 12nn
Day 2: Tekapo to Mt Cook, leave at 1130am, arrive in Mt Cook 1250 pm.

Is Day 1 12nn - Day 2 1130am enough for Tekapo? Or should I stay a day and another night in there?

I think enough na yan, wala din naman masyadong magawa dun. But, the scenery is lovely!

Confirm ko lang - after you submitted your application online, the following day you provided na your passport to New Zealand Visa Application Centre - Manila? Thanks!

Edit: Submitted my passport na in VFS. Kakainis lang pag online, walang visa sticker. Then if you want daw a visa sticker, you have to reapply again?

^Hi sis, pano yung process sa pag submit ng passport sa VFS?

Is there a line just for submitting passports for NZ visa? Matagal ba? Did you have to deposit your bag/cellphone?

Do you need anything else aside from the printout, passport and payment? And how much did you pay?

I have to submit my passport rin since I got an email that I should provide it within the week. But there's so little info in the VFS site when I checked T_T

@wuvshoe, I was there super early (opening, 8am) and mabilis lang. No need to deposit bag / phone. They have separate queuing system for online applications. Just bring your passport and printout. Paid 950 for handling and delivery.

Yun lang din ayoko sa online application, letter lang from the immigration ang ibibigay. Bagong processing na ulit if gustong ilagay sa passport yun visa label.

@kachich - Thank, sis! Nag-submit na rin ako after lunch! Kaso wala na yung separate line for online app, so you'll need to wait talaga. Buti 3rd ako sa queue so hindi masyadong matagal. Pero may epal na taga-travel agency with 2 bulky envelopes (paper apps) na ciempre, iisa-isahin i-check. When it was my turn, the epal said # nya raw yung tinawag. E 30 minutes ahead ako sa kanyang dumating so panong mauuna sya sa akin... buti sabi ng girl sa counter, "ok po, pero tapusin ko muna sya" and I was done within 5 mins.  Ewan pano nakakuha sya ng # na tinawag agad sa screen! sorry, naging rant na haha! Makahanap na nga ng cheap fare going to Auckland ^_^

Got my grant visa na. Ang bilis,masipag yung case officer ko, or nabadtrip siguro sa dami ng documents na pinresent ko kaya single entry lang =)) Submitted online July 4, received grant letter July 6.

Thanks! Congrats din! I still dont have my passport, ang tagal ng delivery. Yes, I have a flight na. Need to finalize my itinerary but I'm still waiting for feedback from someone if it's doable. DIY kasi I wanted to go on a cheaper route.

Got my passport... wala ngang tatak, sad I've booked my flight na rin... got it for 37k roundtrip (with stopover for 3 nights in Taiwan!) To think peak season yung trip ko... Christmas in NZ! Hopefully, safe ang solo travel don ^^

^ang tagal pa pala ng trip mo! Pwede pala mag apply ng NZ visa more than 3 months before the trip, ngayon ko lang nalaman You'll be there summer pala - so mas longer ang day hours mo. Happy planning!

We'll be in New Zealand on January, Pero June pa lang nag-apply na kami ng visa, thankfully approved naman. Ang hirap lang ng planning ng tours kasi ang lalayo ng sites. Grabe! Ang mahal-mahal pa ng transportation even the accommodation (kasi peak season).  Meron ba ditong itinerary na DIY, yung hindi sumama sa tour (except for Hobbiton na need talaga mag book ng tour). Thanks! =)

Will be leaving pa on September but planning on DIY. Yung with Haka tours, hindi ko alam iproceed ako kasi mas feel ko talaga na South Island lang ang puntahan.
