Behrouz ang pinaka masarap. First of all, Behrouz is Persian (Iranian) and dati nung di pa sya sikat at nagstastart palang sya, sya yung gumagawa at nagtitimpla ng food so medyo mas malapit sa authentic Persian food yung lasa. Sayang lang kasi he's not here in the Philippines anymore. (friend sya ng dad ko. my dad grew up in Tehran)

Iba talaga kasi yung lasa ng kebab dito at kebab sa middle east. Mas masarap doon kasi authentic pero syempre hindi naman maaapreciate ng iba kung hindi din nila ibabagay sa taste buds nating Pilipino.

I tried Arya in Rob Manila. Affordable naman kase big servings. masarap ang food and good ambience pa.

Behrouz! . . . but I think the owner passed away na. . . way back, there was an announcement on their window about his passing.. I hope they don't lose their edge and maybe improve on their ambiance?

there's one i know in manila, actually parang indian/persian restos sila..i can't remember the name of the street, pero isang strech siya na puro mediterranean food..it's near mabini st...affordable siya! =)

Masarap sa Behrouz (but expensive and panget ambience)! Fave ko yung chelo kebab nila with tomatoes and rice. Masarap din yung eggplant nila, ox brain, and shawarma.

kumain kami kahapon sa The Kebab Factory. meron sila eat all u can for 499pesos. sulit narin kasi masarap yung beef kebab.

na try ko na sa Arya greenhills branch. Masarap yung lamb biryani. masarap (i love the lamb game taste, maango for others) big portions sya. syempre yogurt based yung drink

Gilas by HOSSEIN - medyo expensive masarap naman pero same lang din sa iba
Behrouz in metrowalk - I super love the rice! and dami!!! hehe
persiana - me and my bf's fave.. we love eating here nice ambiance excellent food and excellent price.. they carry sumptuous desserts as well.. I love their turtle pie

My fiance and I loooove Indian food. We're aiming to try every single Indian or Persian resto in the metro haha.

What are your recommendations?

We tried the following recently:
1) Legend of India - two thumbs up! Good chicken biryani and the dal pakhtooni (which is like a side dish that you can eat with bread). Even their mango shake with yogurt was great.

2) Mehmet's Kebab House - ok naman, we liked their beef kebab better than their chicken kebab. The baba ganoush was good too. Mejo pricey lang, but overall I can recommend this resto

i would love to try authentic indian food. yung tipong di nila babawasan yung spices na normally ginagamit nila. Saang resto kaya ganun?

As far as persian puros, shawarma/kebab places lang nakainan ko. Ang medyo fine dinning lang among them na nakainan ko is Arya. Masarap naman yung lamb beryani na nakain ko dun

wow, this thread reminds me of my college days. i used to eat at Khas Food House in UP Diliman. my usual order was keema with pita. but this is not like the restaurants mentioned here. very basic ang place na ito ha, as in pang-college kids, it's not aircon, sobrang simple, mala-carinderia type ang ambiance. so kung sosyalin kayo, don't go here.

I love persian food kasi sobrang malasa! Dati meron dito sa may school namin, for less than 100 you okay na okay na. Kaso unfortunately nalugi ata so nagclosena. Busog na busog pa naman whenever i eat there and complete na yun with butter and tomatoes tapos they have a flat screen showing iranian music videos. Haha!

I recently went to India. Maanghang yung simple dishes, pero tolerable ng panlasa ko. I had biryani, tikka, curry, masala, chole bhature, palak paneer - and more na kahit di ko alam kung ano yun kinakain ko. okay naman! ^_^

Masarap pero naumay na ko after 7 days.

- Mr. Kabab @ Pearl Drive/Blue Wave Macapagal. Double ground chelo kabab, yum <3
- Khas Food House @ UPD. Keema!!

I <3 tikka rin. An Indian once cooked for me... Ang sarap nga nya. Kaso nung pinagpawisan ako, people around me covered their noses, ambaho ko daw. LOLS =))

And no Persian/Indian food is complete for me without the yogurt shake/cold yogurt drink. XD
