^Depends on the airline sis.  Each airline has their own conditions. But most international airlines esp when for example going to North America, they won't charge you with the base fare.  You just need to pay for the rebooking fee, service charge and the difference.

i've been backreading and came across posts saying that the purpose you cited sa application will pop up sa screen ng IO at the port of entry.

we cited east coast sa application, but our plans changed and we have decided to do the west coast instead. dapat kasi we will visit cousins sa NYC, pero they're going to our other relatives pala in the west coast for thanksgiving, so nagbago plano. sa west coast na kaming lahat magspend ng thanksgiving.

will this create any problems kaya? i didn't want to overanalyze pero na-concern lang ako. thanks in advance to anyone who will reply.

^it doesn't matter where you go in the US as long as the purpose of your visit is purely business (B1) and/or tourism (B2) as what I assume your visa is.

Normal questions I was asked is Where are you staying, How long, Are you going anywhere else after this, How much cash.

Yun nga, just answer the truth. If we only have itinerary for 2 days pero 7 days ang trip, sinasabi ko talaga na hindi sure yung iba.

sa application what we put as contact person/address where we are staying is yung relatives sa LA. eh since NYC na lang kami instead of LA, concerned lang ako na baka i-question sa port of entry na bakit we're not staying there anymore.

^just tell the IO the situation in case they ask you. Basta as long as you tell the truth there is really no need to worry. But always remember to make the whole process simple lang, isang tanong, isang sagot. Don't volunteer unnecessary infos. Enjoy your trip!

same as in my situation i put on the application we were going to nyc so i assume nyc is our point of entry but we have changed our plan. Our point of entry now is Maryland to visit my husband's relative, we might visit washington dc na rin since malapit lang din naman  then after that we are going to nyc. We will depart in nyc. BTW our plan is on March 23 next year we had a  ticket already. Its a company expense.

We were also asked 2x sa airport kung ano ang dala namin from the Philippines aside from the usual questions.  Pls check nalang which items ang bawal sa kanila kasi kami we just brought dried mangoes and mango bars.

pano po pag 2 weeks lang po ang intended stay (yun kasi sinabi ko sa US Embassy dito sa manila nung nag apply ako sa tourist visa sabi kasi dont contradict) then nag stamp ng 6 months yung Officer sa Port of Entry? Eh parang gusto ko po mag stay pa more than 2 weeks. Pwede naman po diba? Rebook na lang yung return ticket?

may idea po ba kayo kung magkano aabutin yung rebooking fee sa PAL? Manila to San Francisco po pala. Salamat

Yes you can extend, kahit 1 month extension pa yan basta dont stay beyond the date stamped on your passport.

Depende sa airline and ticket class ang fees. Call your airline, give your ticket number and they will give you the price.

Are the US IOs still putting a date on the entry stamp? We went to the US last November for a month-long vacation and no "date duration" was indicated anymore. We have 10-yr ME visa... I wonder nga why it didn't have any or nakalimutan ng IO??

That time though hubby and I travelled with our 2 boys (3 and 1.8 yo) and there was no question asked at all.  Medyo awkward cause we're used to more friendly IO every time we go (every other year) to visit my family in the states.

Yeah, I wondered about that too. My visits before had entry stamps plus the max allowed months. But last 2014 no dates stamped. Though I didn't worry naman since I had no plans of overstaying beyond the max 6 months allowed. Then last year 2015, meron entry date stamp plus the max date ako allowed to stay. Hindi consistent but I guess since computerized sila they would know your entry and if you've overstayed when you exit.

I had to check my passport to be sure. Had our vacay Dec 2015- Jan 2016 and meron date yung akin. Flew with my husband and 1 and half year old who are both American citizens permanently living in the Philippines. They gave me 6 months like usual.

I said here in us embassy during my interview, 2 weeks lang stay ko sa US. But next month nag change ng plan.. 1 month na daw. Okay lang ba yun? Kahit sabihin ko na 1 month ako mag stay sa Officer sa port of entry? Thanks

After you get stamped on your passport, you have to leave/exit US on or before the date stamped on your passport, usually 6 months, but sa case ng officemate ko depending on travel purpose, minsan shorter.

Kabado pa rin ako sa questions, kahit 2x na akong nag business trip last year. What if nag travel ako as tourist, at nagkataon na nawalan ka ng trabaho, ok lang ba yun? Gusto ko lang ma experience ang summer doon. Pag May trabaho kasi pahirapan naman mag file ng bakasyon kasi eh.

Hello!! I just want to ask kung magkano ba ang usual na show money for 1 month stay just in case itanong ito sa POE (Detroit)? Kasi ang Uncle ko sagot lahat sa Papa ko (stated sa invitation letter). Ayaw na nga din magpadala ng check-in luggage si Uncle, handcarry nalang daw kasi duon na lang mamimili.

^mukhang wala namang amount na hinahanap. they are more concerned that you might bring in more than $10,000 which is bawal. me and my husband brought $1,000 each lang in cash (taotal $2,000) for a 2-week stay. hinaluhog yung wallet namin and they saw siguro na may credit card din, so okay naman. we also brought handcarry lang because we're light packers talaga and besides, we just washed our clothes sa bahay ng relatives namin. di naman tinanong kung bakit konti ang dalang damit.

Sis,  hindi naman yata bawal mag dala ng more than $10,000 pero kailangan mo sa kanila ideclare na meron kang dala or else yun yung mahirap kapag nagsinungaling ka at nahuli ka. 
Nung pumunta kami sa guam tinanong lang samin kung saan kami titira.  Napansin ng cbp na hindi hotel,  sinabi ko airbnb.  Nakipagkwentuhan na siya na first time niya natry nung pumunta siya ng manila.
