full time working mom din ako, at tama kayo super hirap talaga.

I'm a working mom too.  I'm in a time-consuming, draining and stressful job (i.e., lawyering).  I agree with everyone here.  Mahirap na nakaka-guilty, etc. but I have to work to help my husband provide for our family's needs. (and ready na ko to live simply) baka puwedeng pag-isipan ko to work part-time or get a lower-paying but less demanding job.

My dilemma now, since my kids are going to school in June, is how to work out a safe and logistically workable arrangement sa paghatid-sundo sa kanila.  My husband and I can bring them to school every morning but the sunduan part is still an issue.   :(

Working mom here! I can relate sa mga sinasabi nyong guilt feeling being a working mom. My kid now can understand that I have to leave by 7am to work and comes back after his dinner time. We only eat together during weekends.

I know its not healthy for kids to eat without parents, but do I have an option? Minsan, my kids gets really glad when he sees me back from work and says "Yehey, tapos na work mommy". Ako naman super guilty. But I hope my kid will eventually understand na kelangan akong magwork. But if I have a choice, I would rather stay and take care of him until he is 7 yrs old.

i work full time here in MNL while my 3month old baby is left with my mom in teh province.

recently ang arguments namin ng husband ko is for me to stop working or look for a job in Laguna para nearer to my baby daw. However for some reasons i cannot leave my good-paying work here. Lagi akong kinukunsensya ng husband ko na selfish ako to think more of my career than of personally taking care of our baby. mali ba ako? priorities? it's also for my baby so I can help out with the family's expenses. Though my husband said he can manage on the financial side. Pero I don't like to give up my financial independence.

Hay... i hope i can settle on this rambling thoughts soon... it's either i bring my kid here with us (which is still an issue since the baby will just be left with the yaya, na mejo nakakatakot din for my part) or i leave my work here and stay in Laguna...

im a full time working mom..even saturdays may trabaho ako.. weekdays OT pa..i usually get home around 9pm..leave the house for work at 7am.. wala ng time for baby..
i also have a supportive husband and family..we are currently living with my inlaws.. ok lang kasi si hubby na lang yung nag-iisang anak sa bahay nila.. yung sis nya nasa canada...yung older bro nya nasa province. and most of the time his parents are either nasa province visiting their grandchildren there or nasa rest house sa tagaytay so we mostly have the house to ourselves..

ang schedule namin.. the yaya comes in the room at 7am she takes care of the baby until i come home sa gabi.. ako ang nag-aalaga sa gabi..i don't care if i lose sleep from frequent feedings or playing ni baby in the middle of the night ine-encourage ko pa nga yun kasi yun na lang ang bonding time namin..
i check our notebook when i come home.. check ko ang feedings, vitamins, water.. check ko ang cloth diaper basket kung naka ilang palit so i'm still in the "know" sa baby ko kasi when i'm at work di ako nakakatwag sa bahay/..i know i rely too much on the notebook baka pinepeke ng yaya...pero kino-compute ko ang vitamins kung ilang araw..ang milk din hahaha!! medyo OC pero it comforts me in a way na at least alam ko well fed sya and complete ang vitamins etc etc..

pag nasa bahay ang mga in laws ko.. my baby and the yaya stays at the house... pag nagbakasyon sa province ang mga in laws automatic my baby and the yaya stays with my parents in tagaytay..katulad ngayon..2 weeks nakabakasyon ang inlaws ko..2 weeks din na nasa tagaytay si baby..sobraaaang misssss ko na!!! grabe!!! buti na lang tyempo kasi i got sick..i was down with the flu last week and may cough and colds pa din ako..
im scared kasi to leave my baby with the yaya and the help lang sa bahay. na walang supervision man lang ng family member.. kaya kahit masakit sa loob i bring her to my mom for a week or two na bakasyon there..

Im a full time working mom too.. After giving birth, i rest for a month lang.. kasi my employer needs me.  My husband work at night too.. but di ako nahirapan, kasi ang mother ko ang nag aalaga sa daughter ko.. so, kampante ako.. never akong nag alala, i know she is in good hands.. My bonding naman kami when i arrived at night and before i go to the office.. and every weekends ako nag aalaga sa kanya.  If weekends and restday ng husband ko we usually go out.. Swerte ko kasi marami nag aalaga sa kanya.. shes 6 months old na now.

^we have the same scenario. i work 8-5 only, bonding with baby at night and on weekends. pero pakiramdam ko talaga kulang pa rin :( my mom took care of my baby until my baby turned 7 or 8 months and reached her kalikutan level, medyo hindi na kinaya ng mom ko kaya  we had to find a good yaya. hubby works at night din.

count me in, full time mom din and like most of you hirap din. i'm not a first time mom second baby ko na ito, pero with my eldest sobrang hirap ako kase wala pa naman akong alam nun. luckily i have a very reliable and bait na yaya. siguro ganun talaga, as a mom, marami talaga tayong kailangan i sacrifice, hindi naman natin to gagawin for no reason at all,  acceptance lang na ganito talaga ang buhay, let's not be too hard on our self, let's just pray na all will be ok. spend lang tayo ng quality time with our kids and always remind them na we love them. with my eldest, naiintindihan na nya kahit papano, sa youngest ko, baby pa lang sya pero ganun pa rin gagawin ko, constant reminder lang more love, hugs and kisses! :)

naku sis, yan ang pinoproblema ko sa ngayon, nasa ibang bansa din kami, with my 2year old son.. plan ko na sana magwork kaso di ko alam saan iiwan son ko at kung kakayanin ba niya na nasa daycare siya.. I think your situation is bit okay pa nga, kasi twice mo lang siya naiiwan sa day care, at yung 3days is sa kabayan pa na siguro naman mas natututukan siya at may 2days ka parin for your son.. :) kaya nga ako sana gusto ko ring work na mahanap is 2days off..

Wow, 3years ago pa pala ang post ko na to ;D after one month nagwork ako, march 2010, luckily i found a job na may 2days off at maluwag sa paglileave.. my son was two years old palang nun. For the past three years dami na nag alaga sa anak ko, daycare, 1 kapitbahay and 3friends.

Also a full-time mom here, but not for long. hehe :). My work is 20-45mins from home and the kids stay with hubby's cousin, kaya kampante ako. Good thing hindi masyadong stressful ang environment sa work kaya hindi ako nag-o-overtime.

A full time working mom din. After ko manganak balik agad sa work dahil talagang kelangan. I've been thinking before of hiring a yaya for my baby pero my parents and parents in law objected before. Ngayon kahit I'm working we leave the baby with my mother in law.

Take turns kami ni hubby sa pagpapaligo or pakikipaglaro. Nanghihinayang din pati hubby ko kasi alam nya how I worked hard to reach my career goals. Hindi nya ako pipigilan since he knew that I study hard in college and took up masteral to ensure that I land a good career in my chosen field. Saka before we settled down alam nya na I had no plans of becoming a housewife talaga. Kaya eto kelangan pa ng extra additional time management classes since I am still adjusting. Hehe.

I also work full time with a weekend sideline pa on Makeup Artistry. It's so stressful especially now that we don't have a yaya.

It's been 3 months na wala kaming yaya. Super drained ako everyday. Both me and hubby works at night. We both leave at 7Pm for our 9PM shift. Our shift ends at 6am. Around 8am nasa house na kami. Shifting kami ni Hubby. He sleeps after breakfast habang ako naman nagbabantay sa anak namin. He's 3 year old. After lunch, saka ako matutulog with our son. Hubby wakes up kapag nagising na anak namin and prepares our dinner. At night our son sleeps with his mamu and wowo. During Saturday namin, I go to our Makeup Class after work. So parang 24hrs akong gising. Gabi na ako makakauwi nun.

Now, things got worst because kakatapos lang ng operation ng MIL ko and [textspeak!] needs to take care of her kasi may tubo parin sa gilid niya. But we have no choice but to leave our son to them while we were at work.

I am planning to resign because I know that things will get worst kapag nag school na yung anak namin. Which will happen 3 weeks from now.

The only advantage that I can see now is since wala na kaming yaya, mas malaki na yung savings namin. But there were a lot of disadvantages talaga.

I always feel guilty everyday kasi pagod ako from work. Not because madaming ginagawa sa office but because puyat ako. Tapos, hindi na masyadong nakakalaro yung anak namin sincelimited nalang yung time niya for playing. Kapag gabi naman, lagi siyang napapagalitan kapag mabagal gumalaw kasi male late na kami.

I really want to resign now and be a stay at home mom hanggang sa bigyan na kami ng yaya ni Lord. It seems like God has another plans for us. kasi, we did everything just to find a yaya but we FAILED.

hay grabe, pano niyo nagagawa yun mga sis?!!!

ako nga i work full time then pag gabi lang ako in charge kay baby but i feel miserable na! sakit kasi sa ulo ng puyat. lalo pag ngawa ng ngawa si baby ng madaling araw. :(

sana dumating na si yaya :'(

I'm a full-time working mom too and balancing tme is really a challenge, but it is possible naman. I work in the midshift and my husband works in the morning shift so lageng may isang parent na naiiwan with my daughter. Although I have a yaya naman and my mom is there, iba syempre yung kame yung nag-aalaga so we make it a point to really spend time and care for her when we're at home.

good morning everyone

ako din po working mom. full tiime din pero home based. nag home based na ako since nung nabuntis ako.  im an online english teacher.  ok na to dati nag try na mag work sa labas pero di ako tumatagal kasi hindi ko talaga matagalan yung separation anxiety. ngayon 3 years and 4 mos na sya. his pedia had an impression that he has autism so dapat stay at home mom na ako kasi very crucial yung edad nya ngayon and we are doing early intervention.  thankfully, ok naman ang work.  work from 6-9 am then at 6-1130pm so yung middle of the day nasasamahan ko sya sa therapies and school nya. i am in control at alam ko nangyayari sa kanya.  ayoko ng iniiwan sa yaya ang anak. imo, nobody will care for your son the way a mother would. walang papantay sa pagmamahal at malasakit ko sa kanya. ang asawa ko nasa barko so dapat may parent na tutok sa bata kung kaya din lang naman

Hi mommies...

Im a working fulltime on weekdays and full time mom on weekends...

My 9-month old pretty baby stays with my MIL...And my ex-hubby takes care of her at night.

Im worried na baka soon maging malayo ang loob nya sakin at puro inlaws ko lang kaclose nya...Im thinking of resigning when she gets 1 or 2 or 3 yo.?

I don't know when is the best time to resign? what age of baby does she recognizes persons around her and when she needs the most.

I can't resign right now...Still needs to save for my personal expenses because ex-hubby can only provide for our daughter. I am also looking for a sideline that i can bring on when i resign. Probably an online work or business.

I really want to take care of her closely...

@switblububbles: I have read your story in the other thread. Ako, suggest ko na to stop working. Ikaw dapat nagaalaga sa anak mo. Ang your ex should provide for you. Alam mo I was in that situation 3 years ago and I chose to work for my son and lumaki son ko sa yaya. I believe its the same thing kung lalaki ang anak mo sa ibang tao other than you kahit na lola or ex husband mo pa yun. Iba pa din pag ikaw yung nagpalaki doon.

Mahirap lang most men ngayon hindi responsible enough to give the support for their children

full time working mom din ako, 2 kids but both school age na. even though may yaya, i'm still in charge of teaching my kids pagdating ko from work, kahit pagod na ako, di pwede na di ko i guide sila. minsan, pagdating ko pa lang, study agad, di pa ako nagpapalit ng house clothes. pag na late na kasi ako, inaantok na kids ko dahil maaga naman sila gumigising since morning class sila. i also bring them to school every morning.

talagang lahat ng sacrifices, gagawin natin for our kids. kahit kasi full time tayo sa work, mas importante na ma guide and maalagaan talaga natin ang mga anak natin.
