Newbies and probationary members need to reach the status of GIRLTalker before they can post on the boards. You need to post relevant and helpful information on boards that count posts. Some posts do not get approved due to textspeak or because they are subscription posts.

Subtle updates are also not allowed and can cause a thread to get locked.

For the Marketplace, you can advertise your wares especially if someone is looking for an item that you have.

^ put your ad in the proper category and prolly post a list of the items youre selling there.

you can also edit your post so you wont need to post several messages consecutively in a thread.

it seems that there are many questions on how to post on the Marketplace. I hope some of these get answered.

Another question: how does the people in GT know that one is selling something. I mean, not everyone scroll down to the marketplace, but may be interested in some of the items listed for sale. Since most GTs come to the forum for the topics, how would they know if there are things they might be interested in. They might not even know they exist [or even the Marketplace has something to offer].

     Regarding the questions on how to post on the marketplace, it would be better if newbies (since
its almost always the newbies who ask) to visit the forum rules for them to be guided by how it goes
here in GT.

Regarding the question on how you would know if theres something in this forum that you might
be interested in, you can follow billy's advice to click the show unread posts since last visit tab or
it would also be better if you skim thru the threads in this forum.

thanks for the advise sis, but it's not really for me as a buyer. It's actually for sellers who would want to "advertise" what they are selling. like, how can they inform peeps that they are selling this and that, without putting it on their posts in the forums. (i'm an active GTalker in the weddings and engagement thread, and I do participate in the threads as a b2b myself... i'm just wondering how we can say that we are selling some items without being too blatant in the threads, that would be like spamming.)

^ advertising in threads is not allowed, kahit subtle hints lang. pag ganun, you just have to post
on the marketplace since serious buyers take time to visit that board naman from time to time.

that's what i mean... is there anyway that other peeps who doesnt visit the marketplace know about the posts in the marketplace. like the peeps in the engagement thread for example, most of them just visit and post in the thread (well, just like me before i knew about the marketplace), and dont check out the other threads. just a thought...

Just want to inquire how did I spam the Sleek Make Up thread on market place?

I was thanking client on the thread. yeah I did put in a facebook link but it's still related to the items I was selling.

As far as I know I didn't put any unrelated post on to the thread. I don't even put" UP or "subscribing" on the thread so how can I have  spammed the thread? I don't even have the intention to infiltrate someones account (which is a one of the legit meaning of spamming) so how can that be spamming?

Spamming in a simple manner of speaking that I know in the GTalker world is " talking about something completely off topic on the thread "
