sisses, i recommend reading "curly girl: the handbook" lorraine *something, cannot remember* yung author. great tips and advice on how to take care of our unruly manes. malalaman mo pa doon kung anong type ng curl mo. merong wavy, s-wavy, cherub curls, boticelli curls, corkscrew, etc. read it..it's fun! nabili ko siya sa nbs for 609php i think... sa nbs hq sa cubao ko siya nabili. pero the last time i checked, sa nbs trinoma, merong isa.

ako naman, between s-wave and cherub curl. i suggest using HHN moisturizing conditioner and strengthening shampoo. those two are my combo. tapos yung human nature styling cream naman yung pinanf-scrunch ko ng hair. no pimples. at first, maiibahan kayo sa texture, pero masasanay din kayo. and it holds my curls pretty well. for weekly treatments, i use HHN hair treatment, Snoe beauty hair heroes argan oil. tapos hinahaluan ko ito ng olive oil. i also deep cleanse every week. i started deep cleansing last feb and its been producing great results to my hair.

share ko lang yung recipe i found in the book:

INSTANT CURL REFRESHER

1:4 glycerin and water ratio
lavander essential oil (the no. of drops depends on you).

pwede nyo ito gamitin in the middle of the day kung napapasin nyong loose na yung curls nyo. spray, then scrunch or twist.

i really encourage going organic, as mentioned in the book. kasi nakakahinga yung hair mo if it is free from chemicals, most especially silicone. we need oils to coat our hair, not silicone. super unruly ng hair ko noon, but when i started using organic products, gumanda ng bongga ang hair ko. malaki ang pinagbago. buhay na buhay ang curls. ang dami nga nagtatanong kung nagpaperm ba ako or what.

hope this helps!

After reading this thread, I decided to embrace may natural curly hair. Welcome sa akin!!!  :D Siguro nga hinde lang talaga tama ang pag-aalaga ko or better yet hinde ko man lang sinubukan i-ayos curly hair ko.

Ok, so where will I start...first I decided to shampoo my hair every other day then conditioner every day.
