i also have curly hair, the big ringlet kind. i got called goldilocks a lot as a kid. it annoys me when people touch it though, so i usually just pull my hair straight back and up in a bun every day. people are actually surprised to find out i have curly hair, until they go to the beach with me or see my hair after i get caught in the rain LOL.

it sucks na there's very few products for curly hair here. even drugstore brands like pantene, wala padin. i have to ask pa from relatives to bring me back shampoo from abroad. i mean, who asks for shampoo as pasalubong?!?

i use shampoos/conditioners for dry or damaged hair instead so that my hair is super moisturized and frizz free. i don't have to use any serums or creams na after. mas tipid, IMO.

where do you guys get your hair cut? may nagsspecialize ba in curly hair? i'm so tired of stylists cutting it all one length, which in my experience just leads to triangle-head. parang they can't cut my hair any other way. hay. and the worst was the stylist who insisted on giving me a vidal sassoon haircut! i looked like little orphan annie/ the kid on the alaska evap can for weeks! no freakin joke.

i was thinking of tony and jackey, pero that's permed hair, right? not naturally curly? i'm still on the fence whether to get my hair cut by dudes who don't speak english. yung naiintindihan na nga ako hindi parin maganda yung gupit, what more yung hindi ako naiintindihan?

I have dark brown curls.  Nung nauso yung rebond dati, deadma lang ako.  Natuwa pa nga ako kasi I stood out from a crowd of girls with straight hairs.

i've tried peps silvestre of peps salon and so far, siya pinakahiyang ko with my curly hair. i've tried several -- propaganda, hairworks, etc, tony & guy but from now on, i will stick with peps. hirap lang sa sked because of his celebrity stylings.

sis, do you brush your hair?  ako kasi, i do not even comb my hair so that the curls are defined.  when i brush or comb, that's when pumapangit and buhaghag.

i also put a styling a cream, mouse or gel while it is still wet.  then air dry na ako.  and aways use conditoner.

Rule number 1 yan ng mga kulot: Never comb your hair. Rake it lang with the hair product of your choice.

^sis gullible, im not sure if they have it elsewhere.  im not even sure if they still have it at rustans. maybe at the market market dept store. they have a lot of imported stuffs there that you cant find anywhere else.

other products i recommend:

sebastian potion no. 9 (got this in hong kong).  i find this best for my hair. it's just a leave-on hair treatment but it defines the curls and hindi mainit sa scalp. non-greasy too. hair serums kasi at times, mainit sa scalp. i wish this is still also available locally.

finesse mousse - also recommeded by my hair stylist.

i hate malagkit and oily hair, imy hair is wavy as well, and all creams, serum, and others na nilalagay ko sa hair ko ay malagkit, matigas, or will smell odd.

[textspeak!] po ba ang pwede kong gamitin so i can wear my hair free of pony tails? thanks

ako lang ba ang nkaexperience na malagkit na cream? kc everybody seems to be using a cream or serum....

^before pag di ko gusto yung amoy ng cream i put cream silk leave-on pa. i dont like v05 curl defining mousse, not worth the money. kahit hindi matigas sa hair, malagkit naman tapos ilang hours lang buhaghag na ulit.  @keis you're right maganda pa yung sa sunsilk and mura. kaso ayun matigas sa hair, kaya for occasion ko lang ginagamit. pag normal days lang, i use splash hair polish. re-apply lang pag medyo frizzy na. mura lang naman so perfect for everyday use with my thick hair. right now im still searching for a good/affordable hair cream ulit for occasions na kapalit ng sunsilk mousse.

hi! pasali po

I don't have wavy or curly hair, actually I have really straight-thick-full of volume hair..exag talaga sa kapal ang hair ko..anyways,last year I decided to have it permed, and I LOOVED it!! hehe..although magastos talaga because high maintenance siya kasi you really have to invest on good products para perfect ang curls,in my case permed lang sya..and then talagang ubos ng oras kasi hindi mo pwedeng i-rub with your towel,I dont know bout you, pero ako air dry talaga and most of the time dripping wet pa yung hair, para lang madistribute ng mabuti yung product na ilalagay.. marami naman naka- appreciate nung curly hair ako,mas bumagay nga daw saken..hehe..kasi nakakasawa na yung lahat ng makasalubong mong girls(even boys) nag paparebond!! and it is so obvious!! diba?
sorry medyo may pagka perfectionist ako pagdating sa hair, kung straight ang hair, dapat shiny, super smooth and polished..kapag curly naman, dapat intact, super shiny and bouncy!! hehe..(vain talaga!)

anyways, tama yan mga sis !!embrace your being naturally KULOTCHINA!! kapag nakakakita ako ng mga gals na naturally curly and nakapony tail lang, nanghihinayang ako, kasi hindi niya alam may mga gals na will try to do anything just to have hair like hers!

oh! and if this might help,I use Monea curling milk lotion, citre shine curl booster gel, sunsilk curling mousse(w/c is both discontinued) and loreal curling creme.. apply an ample amount evenly on damp hair then air dry.. I still comb my hair pero when its wet lang and before or while conditioning para no tangles..hope this helps ;D

citre shine gel for curls (dont know exact name) is good for defining curls too.

usually di ako hiyang sa serums.  nagiging frizzy din kasi agad, di malaki anfg curls.

i used to use sunsilk leave-on too. ok naman.  the sunsilk mousse naman, di ko rin hiyang. matigas masyado lumalabas.  di ko nga naubos, i gave it away.
