How much are tuitions fees in preparatory schools nowadays?

Hi mga sis, does anybody here have information about the best preschools here in Don Antonio/BF QC/Mapayapa? My son os turning 2 this October and I'm planning to send him to school next year, saling kit kit lang muna. My personal choice is the OB Montessori in Fairview but I think it's a bit far from our place. TIA,! God bless!

^ It is not always the case, I believe.  I know of a few preschools which charge exorbitant tuition fees and yet function as glorified playschools.  Others have super nice and shiny facilities but the teachers are not good or experienced so you really just pay a premium on facilities.

More importantly, as parents we must be involved in the education of our children.  Even if you enroll your kid in the most expensive and best preschool but you don't do follow-up activities at home nor expose your child to books and educational materials and activities, you will not be able to maximize the learning potential of your child.

Agree with sis @marose. Initially I felt guilty about not sending my kid to a 60k-120k++ preschool, like somehow I'm not giving the very best. But as a mom, we really play an important part in our kids' education -- at home, outside, exposing themselves to learning opportunities whenever we can. Living in Tondo Manila gave me quite limited choices in the preschool department but I believe I found one after months of searching, ocular, and interviews But I still make sure to find time to expand his learning sessions at home as well.

On the first one - hindi palagi. Hindi ibig sabihin na mahal ang tuition fee, maganda na ang turo or pag mura ang tuition, pangit ang turo. Maaring mas posible pa yung pag medyo mahal ang tuition fee, medyo mas maganda ang facilities, pero yung turo, I don't think it's always directly proportional to the cost ng tuition. If you want to invest in good quality education, wag mong tingnan yung tuition fee agad - you can attend trial classes, talk to former graduates of the school, parents of those currently enrolled in the school, para makita mo talaga kung papasa sa standards mo ang pagtuturo nila.

Enrolling your kid in a not so expensive preschool is a good idea - basta ba tiningnan mo mabuti yung kalidad ng pagtuturo at kung maayos ang facilities nila. Saka personally I think na cost-wise, you should enroll your kid in a school na kaya talaga ng finances ng family ang tuition fees and whatnot, not just for a year, but for the long-term sana. Never enroll your kid in a school JUST BECAUSE it's the most popular or the most expensive in your city/town or because it's where the sosyal people's kids go to. And yes, I agree with sis marose na what you do in addition to what the school provides in terms of education is important, I think it's what would make it 'the best' educational experience for your kid.

Hi mga sis, anyone who has feedback with Montessori de Manila in las pinas? Do their graduates have high passing rate to universities? I am quite torn between Manresa and Montessori de Manila for my daughter for grade 1 next year.

Their K1 is P41k+ and K2 is P47k+ excluding books and uniform. I also checked Don Bosco Manila (sta mesa). Their K1&2 is P57k+. Sino ba may feedback sa inyo about these schools. Kasi from those two schools, parang i prefer Don Bosco Manila in terms of the proximity from our house, the location/venue of the school and the overall look of the campus. Give me some pros and cons naman po of the two schools. Thanks!

Hi sis same tayo i want to enroll my son sa Don Bosco kaso wala akong makitang masyadong feedbacks dito pero yung classmate ko kasi dati when i was high school he's from don bosco before he transferred in our school okay daw ang turo dun and matalino kasi yun e, hehe! Though 1 year old pa lang si baby gusto ko ng magprepare para sa school niya and makapag-ipon na hehe..

agree ako sayo sis. My son attended a not so expensive preschool. Around 26-30k lang tuition fee nila pero the best ang turo. I was pissed off pa nga nung una kasi super hirap ng mga assignments nila. they even required the kids to read news paper and make a weekly summarize report every friday. Plus spelling words with meaning such as agitated etc. pang elementary na talaga. Pero excel sila now sa big school. (my son is in 1st grade) lahat ng classmates niya honor students. Even those na medyo behind daw sa klase nila nasa top ngayon. Kaya so happy sa pagpili ko sa school na yun no regrets talaga. In terms of facility may playground naman, aircon and seperate classrooms with computer, waiting area, malinis na cr kaya ok na din saken. 3 hours everyday lang naman siya dun kaya no need for bonggang facilities.

Regarding Little Archers,  actually we went there last May  balak ko kasi ienroll un child ko..It's almost the same as Gymboree for full academic year around 85-90 thousand.
But my daughter landed to gymboree bec. IMO  gymboree got better teaching methods and fluent talaga ang mga teachers nila  mag english and hindi basta basta lang. Their teachers are from top universities. Na turn off lang kze ako sa little archers last time kze with my yaya  when my daughter wants to play eh hindi siya marunong magtagalog. Pero pilit padin nagtatagalog yun bantay sa counter akala ko aide lang un pala teacher na yun. Wala manlang ka finesse magsalita. At ang playgrpund nila super liit and not so clean. Kya we decided to go for gymboree. And it's all worth it kahit expensive ang tuition. But it's up to you sis you can just give it a try.

not always the case. Usually kasi depende yan gano ka focus mga magulang sa anak nila. There are people na sa top schools nag aral at sa mga sobrang mamahal pa pero walang guidance ng parents, nauuwi din sa wala.. Hindi din nagiging successful.

Meron naman sa public school lang or mga hindi ganon ka high end na school pero dahil naka tutok parents nila sa kanila, mas nagiging maganda pa future nung ganon tao.

I always believe na malaking factor ang parents sa success ng anak nila. Tayo ang 1st teacher nila e. So more than the tuition fee stuff, mas importante gaano kainvolve ang magulang sa anak nya.
