As far as I can remember Maria Montessori Merville's tuition is cheaper than Maria Montessori Ayala Alabang.  I think the one in Merville charges 70-80k while the one in Ayala Alabang is in the 120-130k range (they charge dev't. fund).  I don't know how they differ..

@younis, half of the kids in my children's Montessori preschool move on to traditional grade schools like Ateneo, Miriam, Poveda, Xavier, ICA, CSA, among others.  They are doing very well.

Montessori teaches young children self-reliance, critical thinking, curiosity and discipline, which are characteristics that help them do well in school, regardless of methodology.

^ Sis, may similarities sila pero Montessori adheres to the methods and philosophy of Dr. Maria Montessori.  Sa progressive schools, not necessarily - may multiple intelligences approach by Howard Gardner, may Waldorf, may DAP, etc.

Montessori schools make use of Montessori materials to explain a concept to a child, a class is composed of kids with varying ages - 2 1/2 to 6 for preschool (walang levels na nursery, kinder, junior kinder, etc. na ang grouping ay children of the same age range), and the directress or teacher is usually trained in the Montessori method.

sis, kakatawag ko lang now sa MA, eto ang total fee if yearly P134,483.00 then kung bi-monthly naman upon enrolment P33,305, nxt succeeding bi-months, P29,882.

^^oops, sorry about that sis.  before kasi cheaper sya talaga than the one in ayala alabang. now, pala same na lang sila, i recently inquired din kasi in maria montessori at ayala alabang and i even checked the school bus providers.

you can also try other montessori schools, i know there are some montessori in the area that are reasonably priced.

@Zidane, etong alam kong Montessori schools in QC:  Phil. Montessori at White Plains, Family Montessori and Montessori Child Development Center at Loyola Heights, there's a Montessori along Visayas Avenue too.  Abba's Orchard in Katipunan-Blue Ridge is also a Montessori school.

Progressive pa ba ang approach sa Angelicum?  Kasi sabi ng mga ka-batch ko sa college na nag-Angelicum noong high school, semi-progressive ang approach sa Angelicum.

@Jai, sa Montessori sa may Forbes - not sure kung ito yung Casa or yung International Montessori - nag-train ang directress ng school ng kids ko before she took further studies in Montessori education abroad.  Malapit ka lang ba sa Merville?  May Maria Montessori kasi doon.

Yay mahal na rin pala TF sa atin, son ko nagaaral sa international school dito sa middle east pero philippine school siya, masa 73k yearly TF niya. buti nalang pag dating niya sa age na 5 sasagutin na ng company ni hubby pag aaral niya hangang 18. laking tulong din yun.

we enrolled our 5.5 year old son at Georgia International School in Antipolo, its near Maia Alta at P37K all in fees. Excluded lang ang uniforms and books around 3k pa. maximum of 12 heads per class.

we transferred him from a nearby school since we want him to continue to a progressive school. traditional kasi yung nilipatan namin sa kanya kaya we opted to transfer him at GIA.

My 2 1/2 year old daughter is currently enrolled at Our Lady of Lourdes Child Guidance Center here in Q.C. A progressive pre-school too. It's right across St. Theresa's College. She's attending the 2's and 3's class. Her tuition is 53k inclusive of miscellaneous. Uniform is 300+ per set.
