^ It's P96k for single payment scheme.  There are different payment schemes, with interest depending on the scheme.  As far as I recall, kapag monthly ang scheme, it could go as high as P108k.

^ MI's preschool is called Child's Place.  It was one of the preschools I considered since we live nearby.  The school's philosophy is based on Howard Gardner's theory of multiple intelligences.  However, I preferred Dr. Maria Montessori's theory on child education to Mr. Gardner's theory of MI and so, I chose a Montessori preschool for my children.

The preschool itself feels a bit cramped - the classrooms are small but the play area is nice.  Child's Place shares a campus with MI grade school kasi.  I also do not like the construction site of the SM condo nearby.  Lastly, traffic going to the school itself can be pretty slow given that it is located on a one-way street.

My comments about MI are based on a school tour given by one of the staff in the office.  I was not able to talk comprehensively about the teaching method and school activities with a teacher.

^^O.B. Montessori was really our first choice, we have called and  already have an appointment with them for the interview, what i'm bothering with is if my son is not comfortable with the school or anything that he might  think or feel bad, i don't know..So i started to look for another schools. Thanx for the info about the MI, pray ko na lang sana na maging ok si baby. Good environment is very important for my baby since he was born here in Spain, we do prefer his early education  in the Phils. as well as the culture itself. Iba pa rin ang pagpapalaki sa pinas even if us parents teach him the good moral values inside our home but  outside and school iba [textspeak!] nakikita at naririnig. Balik na lang kami dito siguro pag medyo malaki na si baby.

before you enroll your kids, I suggest that you gauge (or someone professional) check you kids ability (we had our son checked by a developmental pedia). kasi some kids don't like classroom setting, some do. some naman more on play pa tlaga ang gusto.

Instead of playschools and baranggay, my husband and I opted for KUMON learning. our son started KUMON English at the age of 2.6 y/o. ok lang na walang incorporated play kasi during weekends, we pay for him to play nalang sa areas like Active Fun, Dave's Playhouse etc.

some parents dislike KUMON, but I can say otherwise. kasi yung basic strategy nila is to let your child learn on their own pace, at their own time. let them commit mistakes so they will learn. the kids are taught to be independent and resposible when it comes to their school work (or worksheet) as well as their homeworks.

at age 3, our son already knows how to read small words/sentences.. (dog, apple, "the bug hugs" etc) and write (trace letters on the words independently).

I say if applicable, start them with Kumon English, cost P1800 for 1 month. after several months, depending on their progression.. you can incorporate KUMON Math, cost P1800 as well.

^ Chelle, in Miriam CSC, the tuition fee is around 85-90k per year.  That's based on last year's rate when I inquired ha.  Call ka na lang sa school to check.

its good that you were able to enroll your child in kumon  early on.beofre i inquired at kumon alabang town center but the the owner i advised me to hold the enrollment of my son  and wait till he's 3 1/2 yrs old na.some kumon centers do allow younger kids pala

depende sa development ng bata yun sis. we enrolled our eldest child in nursery 3 months before he turned 4 and he did well naman. we enrolled our second child in nursery at almost the same age but he did not liked school then, while my youngest just turned 3 when she started school and was too excited for her new environment.

^^ sis helencons.. oo nga maaga namin siya naipasok sa Kumon. we were hesitant at first kasi ang bata pa niya (but he really began his education early, tutorials started at 1.9 y/o). we were just happy when the head/directress of Kumon near our residence let him try..and he passed. now at the age of 3.2 y/o, he is already a level ahead of his age (Bronze medal, level 4A) a

ngayon naman dilemma ko kung saang preschool sya ipapasok. like most of us moms here, nahihirapan din ako/kami mag decide because we only want what's best..pero problem and tuition and location. pero in all honesty ha, my bother advised me na wag muna ipasok sa mga uber expensive schools kasi bata pa naman. and he believes na though a kids brain is like a sponge, yung identity nila, their dreams, hopes and aspirations will be built when they start Grade school.  (i trust his intelligent words most of the time, hehe). a thought to ponder diba? wel,, kanya kanya namang beliefs yan..nai-share ko lang. :-)

Any idea about DML Preschool in New Manila?

@picpauboom, I do agree that an expensive preschool does not always necessarily translate to a superb education.  However, most books about children's development state that a child's golden years for learning is from ages 0-7.  This was confirmed by my sons' developmental pedia.  That's why I believe that the choice of a preschool is critical.  What I looked for in a preschool was a place where social skills, discipline, respect for others and self-reliance were considered as important as academics and where teachers do not dictate the lessons and adopt a "one lesson fits all" approach but would let the children explore, play, be curious, interact with classmates, think and discover for themselves.

My eldest is currently enrolled in LITTLE CHILD OF JESUS SCHOOL in Rancho Marikina. He is in nursery and his tuition is about 45K which includes books, school materials, bag, (3) set of uniform. Ang pinaka inintindi ko na lang bilhin is shoes and socks.
With regards to teaching, they are really good.
