How much are tuitions fees in preparatory schools nowadays?

pre-school inside our subdivision, almost 40k. but they really prepare your kids for the big school. my kids skipped PREP and jumped to Grade 1. advance ang turo nila dun sa school.

2 schools am checking for my daughter would be kindercare in magallanes village makati - P70K or Abba's orchard montessori school in mckinley - 80K plus 20K registration fee plus 50K bond

When we were still in Las Pinas, my kids tuition fees last year average around 30K+. But according to a friend, Elizabeth Seton School would cost around 50K-60K and De La Salle Zobel around 200K.

Now that we are in Bacoor, Cavite, mas mura ang tuition ng schools dito. The lowest I have checked averages 15K-20K while the more exclusive schools cost twice as much.

Grabe na talaga ang presyo ng pagpapa-aral these days to think that it's only prep/primary years.  I can't help converting little-x's fees and compare it with our exclusive schools' rate there.  She's not even with a grammar school but one term cost us $1500 without uniform and supplies.  There are 4 terms per SY.  I told E, iuwi na lang kaya natin, for a quarter of the cost...super sowshal pa ng school!

^hello, friend! how's your pregnancy coming along? naku, grabe nga magpaaral ng bata kahit saan sigurong parte ng mundo. mahal talaga.  next month pa enrolment ni bea, pero hindi na siya prep, grade one na dahil nga nagtitipid kami. slightly lower ang tuition (difference of P500 yata... ). hindi naman sowshal sa st. scho kaya yun ang napili namin na grade school for her.  gusto raw nya kasi all-girls school.

really, $1500 for one term lang yon? so times four pala. di bale, at least kikitain nyo naman yun diyan. unlike dito, maliit ang kita. kwentuhan tayo minsan sa fb. ingat!

its an international school here in makati

200k? mura yan for an international school ah. yung mga nakita ko kase usually 300k above tapos some require na yung 300k payable in peso and the other half in another currency naman.

katakot naman yan tuition ng anak niyo. hindi naman kaya naooverwhelmed lang kayo kasi nasa school na anak niyo.

pero kasi di ba preschool sila so ibig sabihin malayo pa ang tatakbuhin ng school nila hanggang makatapos ng college!

its good to be enrolled in a good school but i think its overrated naman ang price. wag naman halos kalangit na ang tuition fee sa preschool palang kasi baka naman pag nag highschool na yan ubos na ang ipon ko.

I agree with you sis. Kaya nga ang hanap namin yung affordable sa bulsa ang tuition yet quality education ang ibibigay ng school. Hindi naman kasi porke mahal ang tuition, sigurado kang high quality educ ang makukuha ng bata. Marami ring mahal na schools na walang kalidad, pangit pa ang facilities.

Allow me to mention Elizabeth Seton School sa Las Pinas. Their tuition in grade school ranges from 60K-70K pero, according to a friend, hindi raw airconditioned ang classrooms nila. I was surprised when I heard that. Kasi sa school ng anak ko, half lang ang tuition pero competitive din sila and airconditioned lahat ng classrooms.

all parents want the best lang naman for their kids and i think kung afford naman yung super mahal na tuition without having to sacrifice on a lot of things, why not. Although tama naman na hinde sa mahal ng tuition nabe-base kung quality education ba talaga yung pino-provide ng school. At the same time, if you think of it, ilan years pa nga naman talaga ang aabutin ng pag-aaral.

For me, I would want my kid to go to an exclusive school since both hubby and I are from such. Pero for pre-school, yung mejo reasonable na tuition and school muna.

I visited 2 pre schools here in Pasig area.


Tuition in Woodstock Learning Center(inside Dona Juana Subd) is 42k per year. That's tuition alone wala pa uniform and fees for field trips etc...


Oakridge International School alond Legaspi St, Maybungga Pasig is around 40-41k/year


I will visit Parkwoods Playschool later and will post the tuition also if alam ko na.

Finally I was able to visit Parkwoods Play School which is located in Pasig and I was super impressed. For 37k ang daming international program incorporated sa module nila. They have SIP Abacus(Singapore Math) and Sing, Spell, Read & Write included in the program na. Sulit talaga. Their teachers also studied abroad. Very flexible din yung payment terms nila.

P500 ang bayad. next school year (2011-12) na lang namin ipapasok sa may bayad kase laro laro lang naman.. marunong naman na sya magcount, magbasa ng numbers and alphabet (upper & lower case), nagsusulat na din, nagccolor, alam din ang colors, madaldal at friendly naman..

I just inquired sa Diliman Preparatory dito sa Novaliches. My baby's turning 2 pa lang naman but I wanted to have an idea na kasi kung magkano dapat ko iprepare. Tuition fee pag cash is 47,997 inclusive of miscellaneous. Books mga 2,000 daw then uniform 200-400 per set, PE uniform is at 300. so siguro 50k-53k din aabutin.

I inquired din sa isang catholic school malapit lang sa min. 17,030 pag cash. I'm still thinking about it kasi my niece who went there did not turn out very good salbaheng tita.

Ganyan din ang balak namin sa youngest namin. Daycare muna. She will turn 4 na on October and very much interested to go to school na. Nadala kasi kami sa nangyari sa isang anak ko last year. Imagine, nangalahati ang school year pero walang masyadong development. Kung ano ang level ng knowledge nya nung pumasok sya sa school, ganun pa rin after 2 quarters. Kaya pinahinto na lang namin and pina-tutor na lang namin.
