I almost got into a serious accident today. Muntik na talaga, everything could have ended for me right there and then. It really got me thinking about all those cliches about how life is short so choose happiness, get rid of regrets, tell your loved ones how important they are to you, do what matters most, etc. -- so true.

If you're really not buying something and just want to go to the mall, leave your atm or cards at home and bring just enough cash in case you get hungry or thirsty while walking around and an extra to get you home. You end up buying things you don't really need.

Lesson I learned from a friend who lost a parent just this morning --

As adults, we tend to forget about our parents, especially when we're busy with our own lives. But we should always remember that they can be taken away anytime. It might be too late for us to tell them how much we love them, and how thankful we are for all their love and sacrifices for us. So while they are still alive, we should find time to tell them how special they are, and how much we love them.

From a friend of mine that I spoke with earlier:

You also have to think about your self. Letting someone go doesn't mean that you don't love them especially if you already tried your best to work things out. It just means that you've gotten wise enough to know that enough is enough.
