Between the two sis, I preferred hongkong. In hongkong, English is used by majority of the people there while in Bangkok, their language is totally different than ours. Hehe, for me, they look like meaningless figures. And in Bangkok, transportation is not that simple, their bts is only limited to Bangkok area. Plus, the very hot weather, it really drains your energy.
But on the good side of Bangkok, people are friendly and helpful despite the language barrier.
Bangkok is a totally different experience. Ü food is nice but very spicy! Ü cheap finds too at the platinum mall. ( not sure if it's really called a mall).
I wouldn't mind going back to Bangkok again but hongkong is more convenient. Ü just my opinion.

-i beg to this agree with this observation sis, just went to bangkok last sept...and i love their bts...kahit sa hk i love their mrts...sa atin lang, ang di ko gusto...:-) although, mas mahirap intindihin ang salita nila kaysa sa hk, atleast they know how to speak english, compared mo sa hk...dun pahirapan talaga...sign language karamihan ang kailangan mong gawin...ofcourse, siyempre ang thailand eh tropical country din,so expected mo talaga yung heat compared mo sa hk, na baguio ang temperature...:-)
HK syempre. Kasi ang Bangkok mukhang Pilipinas lang, na may elepante sa kalye!he!he!
-natawa ako sis...too be honest, if you ask kids, kasi im teaching kasi, they always have the same response regarding bangkok: "teach, its madumi, its mabaho, its like pilipinas!" pero come too think of it, atleast sa bangkok, ang mga tao dun, disiplinado, yun ang difference natin sa lahat ng bansa, kasi dun, atleast sumusunod sa mga batas ang mga tao, eh dito sa pinas, wala...matitigas ang ulo...sa hk din naman, too be honest for me, para lang siyang malaking divisoria, na walang kalat sa kalye...i mean the mongkok area ha? although may mga parts talaga sa bangkok and hk na makikita mo ang glimpse ng pinas and at the same time, malalaman mo na talagang nasa ibang bansa ka...:-)
@sis khymmmm-since its your first trip abroad, i suggest you go to hk, una sa lahat, mura ang pamasahe, mura ang bilihin wala pang tax, malapit lang sa pinas, atleast an hour and something lang ang biyahe, walang nangyayaring baha, i mean, as you've read sa thailand thread, binabaha ang bangkok ngayon, so medyo mahirap maglakwatsa kung umuulan...and most of all, andun ang disneyland, andun ang ocean park, and anywhere you go in hk, ang daming pinoy, so kahit may language barrier (not all hk people knows how to speak english) i bet you, may makikita kang mga pinoy anywhere there...:-) ingat lang sa mga manloloko, kasi notorious sa hk ang niloloko ang mga pinoy...:-) especially sa mongkok area..
